I'm surprised they never got back together and perform these songs on tour. But maybe they could of. They was always performing backup for Toni. I remember on an episode of the Braxtons, They all went on tour with Toni and each did a solo.
Most likely because Destiny's Child's first hits were in 1999. And in 1996 the only reason anyone knew about The Braxtons was because of Toni Braxton's success. Now that everyone is informed, let's compare Beyoncé's or Destiny's Child's chart hits and awards with The Braxtons chart hits and awards. Yea I thought so.

thejazzman210 yes to then but not now. beyonce has a way better technique. her runs are also versatile. tamar is a one trick pony and only beats beyonce when it comes ease in upper belts but even then beyonce puts up a good fight being a mezzo-soprano when tamar a full blown soprano.
Tamar vocals at the end is next level gal can sing with no question If they stayed together they would been better than the group singers we had and have
All the sisters were amazing singers(and still are) but Tamar is a solo star for sure! She has the most different voice(the best range!) and she has more star quality than her sisters.
TONI BRAXTON has the BEST Voice, Tone and Range out of All her sisters. That is why she was the chosen one from the beginning. Tamar has a great voice yes, but her vocal control needs a bit more work to sustain great stage performance like Toni. As well, Trina has a wonderful voice too, she can really sing her face off if given. Towanda and Traci have great voices, but are better used for background. But honestly, they are ALL Talented 💯 But TONI was the given Star/Singer of that family 💯🙏🏽
WARRIOR WARRIOR maybe she does but hasn’t shown it since her debut album lol but I agree with you. Also she never pushes her range however her style has gotten a bit boring since 2000 she has range like Anita Baker she chooses not to use it
SSINNNGG BITCHES!!!!!! YES!!! I could've done without TLC, the braxtons were more talented and deserved the shine TLC got. each one vocal beasts on thier own, and their harmonies rival Destinys Child. Ricky Williams their team was horrible. Makeup, costumes, hair, choreography, not consistant. They seemed more like talent show performances.sorry. ive looked at every performance and video. Felt the same way about them way bout them back in the day

This is just an example of Tamar having to stand out and be different. I noticed she was doing totally different steps from her sisters and her notes were all OVER the place.

It was like her mic was out at first. Towanda naturally sings really low like Toni, so when she sing higher she sings in full voice, that's why once she got to the second part of her verse it sounder really good

people dont under the pressure tamar was under since a little girl to save the performance in church then in the group. The whole performance is only as good as its sopranoes. That's how people treat it them still to this down in churches. They will push who they think the best to get more money.
Towanda is the weakest singer from the sisters. Traci is even better. And, Trina looks so unhealthy & unnaturally skinny here. She looks almost skinnier than Towanda. And Towanda is very thin. But is naturally petite like that. She looks fine being that thin. Trina looks odd. So happy she put on weight. She's looking the best she ever has these days. The whole package.
Angela Love I complimented her. If you didn't notice! I just prefer her shapely yet slim figure that she has now. It compliments her features better. If you watch the show, she does reference her weight & feels like she needs to lose weight. I think her weight gain makes her look better than ever. Take your smart ass comments elsewhere!
*Wrong.* What you see from The Braxtons laid the blueprint for certain groups that’s came after them. They also have great talent and stage presence for a singing group. Although one didn’t purposely outshine the other, a certain sis (Tam) stood out & that’s a star!
I agree with u. Yes. They can sing but it took more than that. Their team was awful. The guy that worked with toni and envogue and dc and bey shouldve worked with them fulltime. I remember when they came out. They had every chance.they didnt have it. They had no personality/star factor. There was alot of competition and they didnt stand out. Sorry
Ummm Beyonce has been doing this shit since 1990. Sure her first hit didn't come until 1997 but She was definitely already working towards this shit. At this time Beyonce And DC had already been signed.
The Braxtons was signed with Arista Records and their first single the Good Life came out in 1989. Their first album came out in 1996, but obviously, they didn't blow up like how DC did.
