Can we just talk about the discomfort the great fish had to be - the bloatedness, constipation, decreased appetite - until Jonah left? The willingness to STAY uncomfortable vs prematurely tap out… the selflessness to sit in its discomfort until it was time to release what was causing its discomfort… God is willing to put others - who haven’t done ANYTHING wrong! - in uncomfortable situations to extend grace to you to save you. He’ll keep you whole in that space to process until it clicks in your mind what you need to do, then He’ll release you WHOLE from the one He used to extend grace to you. God is merciful.
My sermon notes for Damaged but not destroyed// The breaking point 1.) You rarely get more of what you do want without getting more of what you don't want 2.) Trust God's timetables for delays because he is not holding up your front side because you are not ready for the front side, but rather you are not ready for the back side 3.) If you get the front side without being prepared for the back side, then what was intended to be a blessing ends up feeling like a curse 4.) The backside of the blessing is the burden you dont see or want that comes with the blessing you do want. The revelation is the frontside of the blessing. Backside management is the key to a blessed life 5.) Trust God's timing - you can be anointed from the front side, but God is delaying until you can handle the backside 6.) War-fare: the fare of going the worse direction will cost your joy and peace 7.) Godsl sends the wind before sending the whale 8.) Harboring a fugitive will cost you valuable cargo 9.) Your agitation is always a revelation to your assignment. Walk in your anointing, embrace that you are a problem 10.) Being outside of assignment creates co-dependency that brings you to ask others to do what you ought to do for yourself. On the opposite side of your assignment, you get down 11.) God sent first to Jonah- wind: natural circumstances to get your attention 12.) The people that cause you problems are often not the ones to help you fix it 13.) God had prepared a fish, raven- taker to a giver 14.) Praise, prayer, promise. Jonah prayed to God. God spoke to the the fish. Even when God isn't talking to you about the problem, he talks to the problem 15.) There is still value in you, God will use your mistake ls to take you to your future destination. You didn't disqualified yourself, you still need to do what God told you 15.) God redeems time- to buy back. Be careful how you label things and certain saesons in your life. Don't wrongly label God's grace as judgment. Time wasted isn't always time lost with God. You might have wasted time, but what God can do in the next saeson he can do it quickly 16.) Unaddressed and unhealed pain will show its head when you are winning. Some damage doesn't stop you from doing, but it stops you from being. Unaddressed areas in the cracks of your heart will be exposed by getting triggered. The prerequisite to healing is forgiveness 17.) Some whales you have earned and deserved, but God paid the price to get you out 18.) What loaked like a problem in Chapter 1 turned cut to be God in Chapter 3 Scripture reference: Jonah 4:1-3,3:1

This message is so timely .I recently broke up with a boy I thought was my forever .It's crazy how you spend months of your life with someone who could be your worst enemy .Before the breakup I had a conversation with God and asked Him to take charge of my life and remove me from situations and relationships that are not from Him .For a long time I had the conviction to go celibate and dedicate my life to Christ because I have done things my way and they only led me to toxic relationships and being used and abused .I had even thought that maybe I was the problem .My heart may ache today, tomorrow and even maybe a month or year from now,but I have no doubt that this is God .I hope I will look back 3 years from now and see that what has happened today was God .I am tired of the toxic relationships,tired of feeling unworthy ,tired of being broken .Out with the old and in with the new .I really just hopes it gets better because I am so hurt both physically and emotionally
This was me 6 months ago. The breakup hurt me so much. But God showed me that it needed to end because the relationship only drove me to version of myself that should never have to come out because God has healed me. I just wanted to share with everyone that yesterday I attended church, somewhere I have been being pulledinto, Satan used everything he could to try and keep me away but I showed up, EVEN THOUGH I WAS LATE!
