I so regret the musical shell that I stayed in way back in the day. Especially me being a Philly boy like The Brecker Brothers it took me a while to get out of my Fusion comfort zone & finally took the time to appreciate them… Then Michael passes😢
Much like Harold Brooks, this was above and beyond me back in the day, now it’s my sweet spot. Better late than never I suppose. Look at all the great music I get to discover that’s decades old! Here we go!

So, Dennis Chambers was busy when this concert happened? Perhaps recording his drum instruction video with Scofield et al? In any case, Weckl filled the drummer role capably. 😄
It is not the EWI5000 - it’s more like the original EWI1000 except that the full branding information doesn’t appear to be on the instrument. It could possibly be one of Nyle Steiner’s pre-production or prototype models for the 1000.
