Stormy is one determined lil fella & he has a great Mom. Loved seeing him play in the tree with the other baby! I was about 10 minutes into this video when I realized just how amazing this footage is. Thanks for all you do JW, it's very much appreciated 💟
It’s amazing how those who are given such a disadvantage in life oftentimes end up being the brightest spirits… Thanks for following up with these little guys. They’re truly amazing and inspiring. ✨❤️
I recently stumbled across a saying, that God afflicts his favourites, and somehow I see the truth in that. This bright and determined little monkey shone a light on everybody who had the pleasure of encountering his existence.
I promise you in the morning when I wake up I WILL NOT complain one bit about old bones and the miner pains I have this little guy has totally won my heart and soul . JW I am speechless on your content and this story you have truly out done yourself. Thank you so much for your time and hard work . Like most viewers I have watched thousands of hours monkeys and videos of them this is up there in content. Top 3 I have ever seen. I hope something good happens to you my friend. and god bless you and your camera.
This is such an inspiration...stormy is such a survivor and he does not feel sorry for himself...what a hero...he has so many around him that love him and encourage him...kind of funny when mom was showing him he could eat dirt he was like ok a mouthful of dirt requires a mouthful of milk...you go little boy I am so impressed with you and your spirit...we could all take lessons from you...my hero Stormy
What wonderful and amazing footage, JW. I could just feel how awestruck you were when you saw him up there in the tree and playing with his able bodied peer.
@@muhammadnasirmustafa3621 yes but he is still going strong no matter what others are doing...he knows he has to push to be HIS best and that is what he is doing...GO STORMY!!!
It was so nice to see our Stormy playing in the tree! He has wonderful upper body strength! I thought I saw him pulling his back legs up a couple of times. I hope he regains the use of his legs. He sure tries!
Thank you for the update JW. I was amazed to see Stormy in the trees, and he certainly is an inspiration, but I still find the videos of him hard to watch.
OH how I wish Stormy could run, climb and play with the other babies!! One thing for sure, he's not sitting around like a bump on the log!!! He's ABSOLUTELY a doll!!😌😚😁
I love this little guy, Macaques are a determined group of each type . Dispite of handy caps they keep going. Just like this little one. Mom's encouraging attitude to her child keeps him trying to push himself to go on in a manner that he can function. I like the yellow 💛 with black letters.
Wow Stormy doesn't realize this but, that is good therapy for him. I watch how he is using upper legs pulling them to himself, and especially arm strength. If he could get good arm strength and what part of his leg he can use, I could see him making it. And his mom is so patient with him. He sure inspires me as well.
That little man will be just fine. Look how determined he is. go stormy go!!!!! Thanks JW for q beautiful update on our stormy on this long weekend with nothing going on here. I love these update vids especially on little stormy who holds a special place in my ❤
Heyyyyyy there's my girl! I KNOW THAT'S RIGHT!!! He has such a determined spirit!! Have a BLESSED DAY and STAY SAFE!!😘😘(if you are an 🇺🇸, enjoy ur LABOR DAY) 🌹
@@terryford8280 there's nothing going on here today and wireless down so I'm using my data and staying in my room. Hope you are having a great labor day. ☺
The reason Stormy is doing so good under his circumstances is because of mom...she is awesome and knows she has to encourage him to do this on his own...he needs the strength and confidence to get through life no matter what a crappy hand he was dealt...she knows he needs to be a fighter and that is exactly what she has helped him become ...thanks mom and go Stormy
I can see Stormy's upper legs are not paralyzed..and his arms are strong.. there's high hope that he will be able to cope up with his disability and survive..of course during weaning period, some supplements from kind hearted people will be a great help
It appears that his hips work, but legs from knee down do not.. I hope he can manage life. I can't figure out how he is not rubbing the hide off the top of his feet.
@@carolynsimmons3087 I can only assume that given there is no longer any damage to his feet and knees, callouses have built up on those parts preventing further injury. He definitely is scooting along on the road and rocks quite well.
I’m happy to see he seems to be taking to jumping on moms back a bit better, what a trooper! Thank god he has a good mom that seems to realize something’s not right and care for him the way she does.
Stormy has stolen my heart. I’m in love with a monkey! 🐒♥️ He never cries or carries on thst ive seen anyway. He seems content and genuinely happy! I attribute some of that to his overall good nature, sweet disposition and precious personality as well as the super tender loving care he gets from his mother. She is just one of the best I’ve ever seen. I didn’t even know I loved monkeys until I started watching these videos. Who knew…🐒♥️ I love Stormy so much! And I have such admiration for you kind sir for bringing these monkeys to us to enjoy. Many hugs and thanks from Delaware United States ✌️♥️☮️🐒
This little fella is my favourite baby he never cries or whinges he just gets on with it and I’m looking forward to seeing how he copes as he becomes older.
I'm glad they follow up on things like that or offer some kinda explanation of why when and the end even maybe how cause and effect is considerate enough to offer thanks guys
He is a little tough warrior. He is so much more mobile in the trees. He looks happier there, but a happy little fellow anyway. His arms may get strong enough with all that dragging and climbing that he may be able to walk on them someday.
Its great to see Stormy's upper body strength...he can still hang out with the rest of the group...does she have a name, the baby girl with deformed hands?...I hope it won't be too hard for her to pick up food...thanks for always showing us such great insights into their lives ❤..
I'm a spinal cord injury rehabilitation nurse, and I feel like showing this video to my patients. This little dude's resilience and tenacity are awesome to watch. Thank you for the update on Stormy ❤
That’s not a bad idea because sometimes people need to be reminded that no matter how bad they believe they have it, there are others that have it worse.
And look how strong he is. Im so happy he has just moved on or doesnt even know. I love seeing him hanging in the tree like he isnt any different. I love the music you played while he was in the tree. If you see this please tell me what it was. It gives me energy and i want to hear it more. Nevermind that look at that little bugger, he has so much energy i swear he heard you play the this song for him lol.
Omg thank you JW i listened to that song 10 times before i sent this comment. I knew the song just didnt know who it was. I love the song, i definately love the monkey videos. Keep up the great vids. And double thanks for answering me!!❤
That was extremely emotionally precious ❤️ My heart cries for that beautiful little soul. But so happy that he has such a wonderful mom and family. Stormy’s mom gives him encouragement and the chance to become strong to survive. The little girl baby really cares about Stormy which is adorable. I prey that they both will live a happy long life. 🙏🏼🥰❤️
Little Stormy would almost be better off without shin and feet below the knees. I have seen monkeys do just fine without their upper limbs. I can see the dragging while walking becoming an issue when his mother no longer carries him. But like you said, he is doing great right now and should be fine for the next year, maybe he will find a way to adapt.
@@yerdywobble5800 You are correct. That is exactly what JW said. Amputation is an impossibility. He would be euthanized instead. Stormy looks quite able to me. I am hoping that he will get more proficient in mobility as time goes on as he is a little dynamo!
You are the most caring and Kind Videographer that’s why I follow you…I love that you also care about the Adult Monkeys especially Stormy’s Momma ❤ God has a special place for you ❤️🙏🏻♥️
I feel as if Stormy spends more time on natural surfaces and less on the road, he might be able to develop some tough callouses on his knees rather than risk excess abrasions. It may be hopeful thinking on my part but there’s always hope. His arm strength is already compensating. His ability to cling easily to the branch with all his weight supported by one hand is pretty amazing. Little girl with the hand deformation I think could probably be okay. Aren’t there several in the area with the condition? She appears to be able to grasp okay for now. Fingers crossed for both!
I think Stormy has already developed those callouses. I really looked for any sign of injuries and didn’t see any. You are correct in that there are several monkeys with oligodactly (fewer number of fingers and toes)
@@debvit2353 I’m definitely surprised at after the initial issue with the sides of his feet, how little abrasion or even fur loss there seems to be on his lower legs or feet. I tried to zoom in a bit on him and I see you’re right about callouses forming on his knees. This could be a big help to him!
Monkey hill has vets that will spay females throughout the year. I'm sure their aware of his situation and they'll most likely amputate his hind legs. I just hope they'll hold off to see if he regains use and most off all I hope he isn't euthanized.
@@philipnewlun9641 they don’t intercede in any way other than to sterilise. If it’s dry gangrene that develops, with necrosis he would naturally lose the dragging toes eventually. Unfortunately we already know Stormy’s fate at this point; he has passed due to complications from a pressure wound (which likely led to sepsis). JW has confirmed that he passed but is continuing with his videos so we can follow Stormy’s story out. You can tell in the last few how much he has deteriorated, and this signifies internal infection or sepsis, likely from an overtaxed immune system that cannot cope with wounds as well as with an adult or healthier young monkey.
I was getting a little worried watching Stormy swing in the trees. But I can understand why his mother did not interfere. She wants his arms to be strong as possible so he will not be frightened and can survive on his own as he gets older. Love this little documentary. Stormy and mom are troopers.
Wow...watching Stormy manage to do has best he can with his disability shows he will not miss out on doing what monkeys do best...swinging around in the trees. I love this little cutie pie for his determination to not be left out of anything xx Ann UK 🐒👍😊
His mama is so patient with him,she waits while he drags his little body up the hill,he doesn't complain, many of the well bodied baby's are hitching rides up the hill. I finally made it to where the little guy is hanging around in the tree branches, He is so cute . I just accidentally ran into this video,I hope there are more of this one's life journey.🤗💕 It looks like he has hope of his legs working again,if he keeps hanging around using those muscles to lift up his legs. The older monkey watching him in the trees kinda looks like she thinking that she never seen a baby hang around like that. 😂I'm impressed and inspired, glad I found this video.
Stormy is using his thigh muscles to get on his mom’s back! I’m sure Stormy will develop calluses on his knees and feet to prevent friction injuries. He’s lucky to have a very good mom.
I sure hope so. I was thinking that he would get scrapes and infection from open wounds when he drags himself on concrete. I’m glad to see that he hasn’t!
He's going to end up like some other monkeys you see walking on their hands, there's even a mom that does it and carries her baby. These macaques are truly amazing animals who are so adaptive when necessary! He's also got a great mom on his side too! I hope we get to keep seeing more of his story!
Your footage and photography are amazing. You have a great deal of knowledge of these primates. I've learned more from your videos than any others. You are much more advanced than Arroz. I'm sold.
The Lord says when it's all said and done that love conquers all and the love that she has for that baby he conquered God bless the cameraman for doing such a great job and not being like the other kind of men keep up the good work
IM NEW TO YOUR CHANNEL AND I JUST LOVE IT YOUR NOT LIKE ALL THE OTHER VO'S YOU DO A GREAT JOB!!!!! I LOVE HOW YOU NARRATE AND HAVE CONTACT WITH YOUR VIEWERS!!!!! YOU KEEP PEOPLE INFORMED AND I LOVE THAT ABOUT YOU THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR VIDEOS KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!¡!!
This video deserves the heart-touching music near the end! That little critter is 100% alive and in the moment. His handicap doesn't 'mean' anything to him. It just is how it is. Nothing to feel self-pity about. He just drags himself wherever he wants without a second thought. I loved seeing him hanging with one hand and having a good old scratch with the other... probably 60+ feet above the ground too.
Just love 💘 this little guy. He has real courage and strength to haul himself around without a whimper. I do hope that when he gets weaned, He goes to a sanctuary or refuge of some sort. I do not think he would survive with his problem.please keep an eye on him and update us please. Like your videos very much. 💖❤💕
Its mother is looking after her baby monkey quiet well baby monkey is very happy with mummy it's lovely to see baby playing in the trees with other primates .God bless them
Stormy's arms, chest and upper back muscles will be larger than normal to compensate for not being able to use his lower legs. It's to bad some agency couldn't have both legs amputated below the knee or where best for mobility. They may atrophy enough over the years to not be a hindrance.
I think it as if he is trying to rehabilitate his own legs. The more he does the greater the chance that he may stimulate nerve regeneration to the lower part of his legs. It may not completely but every little bit helps. Go Stormy go!!!!
He is truly inspiring! Didn't think I'd have tears in my eyes bc I want him to be able to live a nice long life. Is there a sanctuary that would be able to take him in once he gets older? I worry bc he will face a lot of difficulties and hardships that monkeys with no disability faces when mom isn't there...
I'm afraid there is no such thing in the city. And if lil Stormy can grow up, he need not go to a sanctuary, as long as he has overcome the most vulnerable periods. What's more, it is suffering for a rhesus monkey to live a long, solitary life in a sanctuary, because they are social animals and highly dependent on the intragroup relationships, even bad ones.
@@JWmonkeyhill I hope so! In the last video I don't know if I was seeing things but it looked like there was slight movements in the top of his legs by his hips.. And I was thinking about something like the Vervet monkey foundation sort of place. They have a great way of doing things...
His mom is wonderful, she is letting him do things like following her but she waits on him, when other monkeys mess with him she runs and picks him up.
It breaks my heart to see Stormy, his feet are getting scrapped...Its such a strange injury its just below the knee that he can't move? Are they broken?God bless this lil guy...
I think it would be best for Stormy if a rescue organization came in and find him a safe place to live. He is dragging around his back end and eventually he'll get abrasions all over his hind legs and feet or worse since he can't feel pain, and eventually will become infected. After that, with no medical intervention, he will die. And I can't imagine that he would survive even if infection does not get him. He will not be able to keep up with his troop. And there is safety with his troop. So if there is someone out there that can call in some help, maybe you should make that happen? I don't even know what country this is. I know it's not the United States!
Stormy crawls like a baby seal!! He doesn’t know he’s handicapped and just gets on with living his life with mom. It’s what creatures do when we have no other choice!
I have question. First of all I love your videos, I adore these monkey's. My question is, do you name these troops and individual monkeys yourself? I watch Arrozs' channel (great channel as well) and all those monkeys have names etc. Do the ppl videoing them name them ?
