The brilliant reason she buys blue Dollar Store bowls 

I wish she showed what lights she used and how, exactly she put the lights in. Were they just put in, bunched up into each section? Are all of the lights connected to each other, or were there separate strands?

I honestly didn't think this would look so glorious! Absolutely stunning. Made one and put at my front door. Lady drove by stopped and asked where I bought it. I told her I made it and was making more in other colors and sizes. Guess who got a commission to make 24 for a sweet 16 party???? Yup and she's paying me $20 each! I did some of these for Christmas and red and green and they were beautiful outside only problem I ran across was then falling over from the wind has anybody figure out a way to attach them to the ground or weight them down so they don’t get blown over?

You could even use 2 blue bowls, bottom one up side dn, then nxt 1 right side up, then just 1 clear bowl upside dn over the blue bowl 2 make it look like a crystal lamp shade. That way guests could c ovr the lights wen chatting 🙃

These are so pretty! They’re perfect around the pool. I’m loving the fairy lights with the cell battery packs. The battery lasts longer and they’re so easy to hide since they’re so small. But, I always struggle with making the fairy lights look uniform and pretty. I wish she had shown how she did that, especially through 3 bowls.

I would use fine grit sandpaper just to smooth the edges inside. As far as the battery pack, I would get a smaller bowl and glue glass stones to it and turn it upside down and it would conceal that and the light would reflect off the glass stones more or glue them to the outside base and it would conceal it a little better. The greenery is nice, but if it's windy, it would blow off. Just a thought.

I'm usually not overly impressed with "towers" made from plastic bowls but this one is really nice. Thanks for the idea and well-done tutorial.

For a wedding, a piece of floral foam could be glued to the very top so you could stick in some florals, plus dangling ones as well.

Wondering when you put the blue bowl over the clear if you can take a marker and trace a circle which will be easier to cut…. Just a suggestion.

What about the fumes from melting the plastic? Toxic? Better make sure you have plenty of ventilation. For the epoxy or other glue, too.

you could go around that bowl with a sharpy and then melt it.

I would wad up a small bit of foil or holographic tissue paper in the bottom to hide the battery packs. Can you imagine how pretty the reflections would be?

Very pretty. I use the clear bowls for my birdbaths. Spray the outside with Sea Glass paint and you can see the water shimmer when looking at it, have a solar fountain in it with a few rocks for the birds to stand on. The birds love it. Not a solid cover paint .

You didn't show the step where you added the lights. How did you get them to stay in place, and not all fall down onto the bottom? Also, how many strands of fairy lights did you use?

Well seeing the ending I mean these would be really pretty centerpieces for a wedding I mean they're very high-end looking very pretty I don't like the ivy on them they did look better when a lot more flowers got put on but I love them plain or maybe with Just matching Flowers but yeah They are Stunning!! Not to be a killjoy, but the fake flowers didn't match ann make it look a bit hokey. May want to re-think the battery pack to the top and paint it before putting it in.

Didn’t say anything about putting them on plates, or how to obtain the battery pack, or anything about them.

My issue is my stores. I cant find the fluted clear bowls. I visited 10 local stores. Just a mess.

P.S. if you like to garden, you can make a moon garden. All you have to do is plant white flowers that will stay open at night. The white morning glories called moon flowers I think will stay open , and there are white petunias and white hibiscus etc. When the moon shines on them it is gorgeous. They glow almost. Plant a bunch. Im sure you will love it. Especially when the moon is full and almost full. I cant afford it right now as I would have to pot them due to our lousy soil. But I always wanted to do my yard like that. Your lamps would be a perfect touch.

Wouldn’t it be easier and faster to trace the punch bowl first before using the melting tool?

I would put seashells and the white poppies but the ivy is out of plce and how didi we go to fluing and then all of a sudden lights are in them.

I have bought tall straight glasses at dollar store and glass candle holders clear gorilla glue made nice tall vases or tall candle holders and they sealed totally secure
