A very nice refreshing change from your battle reports. And with these histories you have many years of videos to make just for the British/British Isles.

Cheers Leslie, glad you enjoyed the video. Yeah, I do intend on making more history videos but they do take a long time to produce, so they get pushed down the list somewhat.

Great - the point about Wellington objecting to the blue uniforms is particularly interesting because I remember as a kid being surprised to find how many blue clad units there were in the British Army of that era. I wonder why they did it? I know other armies didn't stick to their base colour either, ie Prussian red hussars etc. The KGL too aren't as well known as they should be and in a short video you've provided a good context for them and some other lesser known units.

Thanks Duncan, glad you enjoyed the video. It's probably down to unit tradition and/or wanting flair to be different. It also helps with identification, until of course you run in against enemy wearing the same colours as you... There's probably a video to be made on the KGL themselves, TBH.

Hi, I am new to 28mm Napoleonic gaming and need some advice. I have several boxes of Perry British Line Infantry and wanted some advice on building regiments. My idea is to build regiments of 30 men, 5 bases of 6. I'm a little confused about the flank troops though. I'd prefer not to use split bases to hold 3 grenadiers or 3 light infantry. Can I put 6 grenadiers and 6 light inf at each end or is this too many? Can I have 6 grenadiers or 6 light infantry at one end and ordinary troops at the other, thus sticking to 6 flank troops per 30 man unit? Sorry if my question is confusing, I'm finding it difficult to find a definitive answer to this.

TBH, this is not a problem I've ever had any thoughts about, but I would be inclined to got with 6 figures on the flanks, rather than 3, as 3 would just look odd, IMO.

@StormofSteelWargaming Thank you so much for your quick reply, it's greatly appreciated. I admit the question is a bit strange but I don't want to make any mistakes from the get go. So it's basically down to what looks best you feel and it shouldn't affect any rule set. I guess I could to regiments of 32 (8×4) with 4 of each flank troops on each end!? Again, thank you for your patience with me and these silly questions!
