Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother's original ring was a sapphire sourced from the Yogo Sapphire Mine in the state of Montana, U.S.A.. Large stones are rare and noted for their cornflower blue colour with no inclusions. The Royal Family owned a stake in the mine and cigar boxes of stones were regularly sent to the monarchy in cigar boxes by regular post worth thousands of pounds. The Yogo mine was eventually mined out, so her stone is one of the rarest of sapphires because of its size, colour, clarity, and rarity.
Diana's engagement ring did NOT go to Harry. It went to William because as the future Prince of Wales, it would go to his wife, the Princess of Wales. Thank god for small mercies. Imagine Diana's engagement ring being owned by a Z-list actress??
@@rpbphx Meghan slept with every guy she thought would boost her career. She had very limited success as an actress & had she not been lucky enough to meet Dimwit when she did, she'd now be just another out of work actress that virtually no one had heard of. She lasted a mere 18 months as a royal, and even with the worldwide fame, title and money, she STILL couldn't make anything of herself in LA. There's a good reason why she's so widely loathed these days, but you apparently are too stupid to get it.
While the rings are undoubtedly made from beautiful gems, none of them shows much imagination. All are rather ordinary, with a central stone surrounded by smaller stones. I could design something similar and no one would think it extraordinary. As for the criticism of Diana's ring, if they didn't want her to have a ring from a catalogue, they shouldn't have offered it to her in that context. It is striking rather than beautiful, being, once again, just a central stone surrounded by a bunch of smaller ones.
in my opinion it was right that Princess Catherine to have her late mother-in-law's engagement ring !!! going from one Princess of Wales to another!! it makes sense!!!! & harry didn't get overlooked since he got the diamonds from his mom for his wife's engagement ring!!! but unfortunately things aren't that easy when jealousy & greed gets in the way!!!!
I am struck by the fact that Charles alone seems to have put no effort into the design of Diana’s wedding ring. Can you imagine how she must have felt being handed a catalog and told to pick out her own. It lends credence to her story that she just chose the most expensive one. Poor girl, getting married with her heart already broken. Would that her sisters had supported her when she wanted to back out. But then we wouldn’t have William, who is her true legacy.
I was thinking the same thing. The other rings had some thought and effort, hers had none above just being told to 'pick out your own' with the underlying thought 'I don't really care'.
After learning a lot more about Diana, I think Charles did the right thing p, imagine the tantrum if she hadn’t liked it!! It wasn’t picked from a catalogue, the jeweller took many rings to the palace.
Their story was in 1920 to 1940.. Wedding of Kate and Louis and Henry and Meghan is 1970. In 1980 they are talkin about Sultan Princes and Sultan Prince..
Engagement Ring used for ROYAL FAMILY in 1940.. In 2000,, wedding ceremony,, couple used of engagement ring and wedding ring.. Could be,, people in modern era is inspired by Princess Diana Spencer... grandchild of Isabel Aragon.. Diana Spencer is living in with Charles and never married.. her just wearing an engagement ring into her finger... They could be marry in with Charles but is married to another person..
Me too. Some years aback I got for my wedding anniversary an emerald shaped aquamarine ring surrounded by sapphires in a halo setting with also 2 small diamonds on the band. I call it my Diana ring as it has aspects of both of her 2 most famous rings. Of course mine is much smaller, lol! but I love it.
Can we all be thankful that Harry gave William the ring for Kate. He did NOT have to do that? Diana would be happy with anyone who made her boys happy...unlike harpy's like you. Get a life.
Harry said he never had the ring or the watch. It is a media lie. Meghan's watch she has is actually a Rolex that looks similar to Diana's watch (which was a different brand) that Meghan bought with her first Suits paycheck. Meghan talked about her watch on her Tig blog way before she met Harry. She said the watch was something she had always wanted but could only afford after she landed Suits. Meghan recommended being minimalist not buying a lot, but buying the best quality a person could afford in her blog. for example, she recommended having one high quality timeless in style black dress that could be dressed up or down and made to look different. That is why she was worth 5 million when she married Harry. She did not overspend. Harry also said the side diamonds came from one of Diana's tennis bracelets that he inherited. He said he got Wiliam's permission to remove a link. Meghan occasionally wears the bracelet for formal events. Being she is 3 inches shorter than Diana was it fits her with the link removed. We also know Harry inherited Diana's aquamarine ring which we have seen Meghan wear 3 times in the last 6 years. People Forget most of Diana's jewelry was owned by the Crown and only hers for life. So, it makes sense William inherited the engagement ring and watch while Harry inherited the tennis bracelet, and aquamarine ring given to Diana after her divorce. There were also smaller less valuable pieces of Diana's we have seen Meghan wear. Some butterfly earrings with tiny sapphires and a turquoise ring. both of them are of modest value, or at least would be if they had not been owned by Diana. I am sure Kate inherited similar items, but they are not things she would wear to state events. they want her to wear the Crown jewelry for those. Those would be things she would wear in private. I understand the aquamarine ring has a matching bracelet and earrings Diana never wore as they were not finished before her death. I am not sure who has them as we have not seen Kate or Meghan wear them. Maybe one day Charlotte will get those.
