THe most amazing part of costumes for me is that they have to be both beautiful works of art and incredibly durable and practical. Galinda's light airy dress, also being her safety harness is a prime example. The team of dressers who maintain the look and utility of the costumes throughout the run do not receive enough notice.
Elphaba might be "from the Earth", but she's arguably the most flying one of the two! The costumes in this show are superb and definitely memorable. I love the marriage of the kind of steampunk and fairytale aesthetics!
