It actually makes me mad. If you wanted to be respectful you stop 3 TDs ago. Your allegiance is to the Dolphins, put them in the record books because you're already embarrassing the other team and it's more disrespectful not to. You've already broken the record for yards.
@DNeonLamp to be fair, the dolphins weren't doing anything crazy late in the game, they were running the ball. Not their fault denver would just let them run for 25 ypc.
I'm a Broncos fan, but when it looked like Miami had a chance of breaking the 72 point record I started cheering for the Dolphins, I wanted to see them break the record.
@liammccoy385 this because that for sure would've led to him getting fired at the end of the day rather than waiting to see if they fire Vance or not.
The actual record is the Bears vs Washington in the 1940 NFL Championship. 73-0. The 1940 Chicago Bears’ 8-3 regular season wasn’t spectacular, but their championship game was: they beat the Washington Redskins 73-0, the widest margin in NFL history. Bears might break that record this week. JK! more likely is a 3-2 game.
Niner fan here's the craziest 3 stats form the weekend Brock Purdy threw for 310 yards, Tua threw for 309 yards and Russell Wilson threw for 306 yards Of those 3, 1 is Mr. Irrelevant, 1 is considered the future of all mankind by their fans and the other is on the saddest team in world sport right now. And for a bonus stat 3 of the top 5 passing (by yards) QBs LOST last weekend. Kirk Cousins (367), Andy Dalton(361) and Jimmy G (324) all lost. Only Justin Herbert (406) threw for more yards. I guess Denver can sack their statistician. Who needs a stat boy when nothing they write down matters anymore.
As a hawks fan, it was funny at first. Now I feel like it's watching a house on fire with people inside. I feel dirty now. I hope Denver can rebuild fast because it's not funny anymore.
Man, I could see Russ improve at the end of last year. I didn't think the defense would just disappear on them! Sorry, Denver... I thought this year would be a better year.
Hawks fan, and I think it's still funny. I'm here with popcorn watching the flames rise. I want all the 🔥. The more that trade can be an absolute win for SEA and L for Russ and DEN, I want it.
You remember when Sean came in and the very first thing he did was shit all over the previous regime? Well, I don't know that there's anything you can possibly do collectively over the entire rest of the season that can erase the stench of giving up *SEVENTY POINTS* in a professional football game. At least Hackett's defense was trying last year... Broncos Country, the ride never stops.
I wish people will stop saying “rock bottom” or “it can’t get worse”, like 0-17 doesn’t exist. It can get a lot worse and the bottom is still way down there
You know, Brandon is crying like a child getting a booster shot and Tom is acting like a parent saying it'll be over soon. It's kind of funny but nice at the same time showing their friendship.
"I think the suck has peaked..." * Looks at the schedule No don't worry, there's still more bottom you can hit. Imagine if the Bears hang 40 on Denver.. Yea that won't pour salt in the wound.
Because of the disasters that is the Broncos, and Bears. The NFL Commissioner demands that instead of this game we watch two elementary school teams play in their behalf.
Kinda weird...remember that stream when you called on "Satan" to help your team win..... Its really been down hill since THAT game. Hmmm...What a coincidence.
"But everybody’s got a little stink on their hands, it’s not just Russell. It was a (poor) offensive line. It might have been one of the worst coaching jobs in the history of the NFL. That’s how bad it was." -Sean Payton
hey the offence was not the problem here to be fair they did score 20 points and did their job reasonably well, and kept it close enough before their defense fully collapsed
You can win games with 20 points. You just need a defense. If you have one that allows 70 points, even a prime Tom Brady on his best day wouldn't have changed anything.
If I’m Sean Peyton, I’m just telling the GM and owner that I’m shutting everyone down for the rest of the year to be first in line for Caleb Williams and we’re cutting Russell Wilson this offseason.
It's not even the 70 against the Dolphins. In the final 32 minutes of the Redskins game, the Redskins put up 32. So Vance Joseph's defense has allowed 102 points in their last 92 minutes of football. HE MUST GO! If they can get the guy they had last year when the Broncos kept holding teams to about 15 points and losing 15-13 or 12-10, and combine that with Sean Payton's offense that is now actually producing 23 points per game, the broncos would win a bunch of games.
As a Chiefs fan that had to live with the Broncos dominating our division for most of my life, I am THOROUGHLY enjoying their current implosion. Now YOU GUYS suck! Ha!
It wasn't just the Dolphins backup QB, Brooks was in (first time he ever played in an NFL game), Chosen played a lot but he is a PS player and was only up because Waddle was out and EZ was a healthy scratch and Cracraft was injured in game, 4 of the 5 offensive linemen were backups, and Jullian Hill was getting way more snaps than normal as well. It was a preseason line up plus Austin Jackson for that long play. And sure, the defense had sold out to stop the run (on a 3rd and 10 for some reason) but the Broncos best player was torched by a PS receiver. And I am fine with not kicking the FG at the end but I don't like downing the ball either...run it there. If the defense lays down again, they set the record not the offense.
Seahawks being competitive: Yes please! Broncos & Russ losing: priceless Ever since the trade, I don't care so much if the Hawks win. I just want the Broncos to lose. So far, I'm riding high. Last year was great. This year is shaping up nicely too.
Getting divorced from a team that has you trapped in an abusive relationship can be healthy. I divorced the Chicago Bulls in 2017 after more than 30 years of fandom, no regrets, never looking back, let's go Heat.
Sean Peyton strikes me as someone who will accept his share of blame for giving up 70 points and with that I just don't see him firing one person for what was a loss everyone is responsible for.
Same. I feel like he's the type that will feel like he responsible for not changing things himself. And like you said yeah it ain't just one persons fault, with as much data and different view points of the field there were, that loss meant a lot of people couldn't figure it out.
If he fires anyone, he should start with himself. He had final say on personnel decisions and it's his playbook. I'm so glad we are seeing him for the fraud he's always been. He rode his coordinators and drew Brees for 10+years and people just agreed he's great. Sean Peyton is a joke.
I feel for ya Brandon. My Giants...uhh, I mean Dwarves may be re-donning their disguise as "competent contenders," but I can shake off that 40-0 prime-time season/home-opening stinker of theirs. Your ring-wearing QB and HC should definitely be at least middle of the pack by now... Even Pete Carroll never expected "DangeRuss" to match a 70-point curb-stomp by the Seahawks' opponents. We rightfully shat on Hackett for his epic fail of a coaching decision at the end of Week 1 last season; it's Payton's turn to feel the heat for this defensive no-show. He may not have been given a $245M contract, but his rep as a coach alone should've prevented an L of this magnitude.
There were multiple non-calls that should’ve gone against the Ravens too all throughout that game… you absolutely cannot try boiling that down to Ravens lost because of the refs because not accurate. Colts could very well already put the game away before that non-call PI play, so it’s completely unfair to keep acting that single play was the deciding factor and Ravens only lost because of the refs. It’s incredibly annoying how many people I’ve seen you keep mentioning penalties as to why the Ravens lost. How about actually watching the game first before you act like you know what happened…
"Who gets fired because of this?" That reminds me of Steve Dangle in the Nashville 9-2 LFR screaming that "Someone who is on the Toronto Maple Leafs should NOT be tomorrow!"
You can’t give up nothing That was took from you at the Miami Dolphins took the 70 points they didn’t give him nothing they played a good game they just lost
The Dolphins had 14 drives. They scored 10 touchdowns. One of the 4 non scoring drives was a one play drive after a Broncos field goal right before halftime. They got the ball with 3 seconds left. Another one was a turnover on downs at the end of the game where they still could have scored. They had another turnover on downs on their own 34 yard after running 4 rushing plays. The Broncos got the ball on the Dolphins 34 and had to PUNT after 3 plays. They had a 3 and out when they brought the backups in. That’s wildly efficient football.
Payton is to blame, we could have kept Evero, but no Sean wanted his guy and Payton deserves this loss as a capper to his questionable career. What can't you play defense without bounties? GTFO!!! Also, it wasn't Joseph's decision to only dress two safeties, that is on Payton. We watched this team quit on their coach so at this point it can get worse.
You just KNOW Perna boutta rank the Dolphins at number one in his power rankings to try and curse them out of retribution. If that happens, and Miami ends up being the team to break the Perna Curse, I will lose my shit laughing.
We did put in our backups not only our backup qb that’s why brooks was out there (Achane) wasn’t even the starter by the way I already know what you guys are going to say
