This song sounds different than any song I'd ever heard on the radio when it was a hit in the Summer of 1977. I wondered why it was called "Strawberry Letter 23" when the lyrics say "strawberry letter 22". I found out years later that the song itself is the 23rd strawberry letter.

The 70’s was a very self indulgent decade; the music was the byproduct of a war that we couldn’t win and when that war was over we celebrated in excess.

One of my favorite songs of the brother Johnson's takes me back to the 70s great reaction keep it up

Color Me Badd is the R&B band, you were referring to Savio, who did "I Wanna Sex You Up," from the NEW JACK CITY (1991) movie Soundtrack.

I just came across you two a few weeks ago and I really enjoy your reactions. I've mainly watched your reactions to my favorite band Earth Wind and Fire, who in my opinion is the best band ever. I also have to thank you for not stopping the music to make a quick comment. I hate when the other reactors do that. so I appreciate you two letting the song play out all the way and then react to it.. I do have one critique though, and that is I think you should do more research about the artists and their songs before you react to them. an example is, you both love Earth Wind and Fire, but you never get the names right. the two main vocalist in that band was Maurice White, who was the founder and leader of the band, and Philip Bailey who has the master falsetto voice. he still sings with the band when they go on tour. in fact i am going to see them in concert here in Atlanta, Georgia on the 24th of August. it would be cool if you two could afford to come. you will love them in concert. also in your research, I have to say as an African American man, you have to understand the times and the way our culture was at the time a lot of these songs were recorded. that will also give you some insight on certain political songs. anyway, again I enjoy your reaction better than all of the other reactors that I've seen on RU-vid..
