Lovely animals, I enjoy watching them in our garden. Sometimes the cat brings them in and if they're unhurt I pick them up and take them outside. They have an unfair reputation for being vicious. They're actually very smart and can work out when they're being helped. People treat them terribly and it bothers me.
Perhaps one of the most successful species on the planet! The cruelty directed at them by humans is despicable. But I understand their destructive capabilities and disease bearing which is a major concern.
If they had a bushy tail like the squirrel the horror for some would not be as great.Fact all wild animals carry disease as indeed do many humans .Getting urine or droppings in a wound no matter what the source would be pretty bad no matter what the source .I see a colony of rats and they are in immaculate condition .Extremely social animals .
they are very very smart and are nice looking, you can get salmonella from eggs and other animals you can also get it from dogs and other animals i looked it up
