I met Jonathan Bree at the Social Welfare office in New Zealand today. He said he's just back from a world tour and has no money. He's one of the greatest guys I've met.
It’s such a shame that great music with good messages that deserves to be in the top is stuck in a musical underground that most people have never heard. Instead we get blasted with the same tacky shallow love songs for decades.
I love this song!I think the Brunettes are one of the most talented & original bands from New Zealand! I hope your getting the recognition you deserve :-)
This song is genius, and so is the video. It captures far more than words can tell without those words ruining the meaningfulness of knowing what is said by them. That's what art does, it brings us into direct contact with very meaningful stuff without ruining the value of doing so by overelaborating on the contents of the experience. THE IDEA is expressed subliminally and sublimely. For example, did anyone notice first her angel dude came to her, then she went to see him (fantasy/ideal).
I can't believe the Brunettes are featured! It was so hard to sell them to the committee I was working with to book bands for the Eugene Celebration this weekend because so few of them had heard of them, and almost as soon as we boked them they were featured on MySpace & now here! We lucked out!
very very nice. great melody too. nice capture of all puppets facial expressions, must have been quite difficult since they dont have movable faces. best featured vid of today.
i love this video! i sent it to my friend and she thought it was really weird...but thats okay cause now i'm like addicted to it. its the first brunettes song i heard and i love themm
I can't understand a word being sung, but it's a very well made video. On a side note, if someone asked ME if I'd done my hair with a toilet brush, I'd smile and say 'yes' just to bother them. =)
I dig this song and the video is perfect in my opinion. What a great companion to such a stylistic song. kiwi girls are hot, plus they can rock. Dangerous.
I loved the part when she used a blow dryer on those "barbie dolls". They remind me of a group of girls at my school. I am sure a lot of people can relate to this video.
holy @#$%&* shit! this video is so beautiful & strange. really suits the song. who made this thing? it doesnt say in any of the tags. been years since ive seen such an original music video. 5 stars!
Geez, can't people just leave comments about the video anymore... The song was great, video was very interesting. "Love finds loosers, too" Hahaha. This was very "Jeremy"
Isn't it sad that our society deems so-called unattractive people as losers instead of making the effort to see what's beneath the very shallow surface of their own perceptions?
