Malignant (2021) is a brutal film that many people will find hard to stomach. Twitter - / willaustin4 / bigwill Music: dj quads - it’s near - www.youtube.co.... #smile #movie #review #horror
Immediately followed by "so with a dead husband, a dead baby and a crippling medical debt (the American Dream)..". I actually feel bad that I laughed so hard at that line.
This was fun. I kinda saw the twist but at the same time I was like "Nah, there is no way it's going there". Reminds me of the Dark Half and Basket Case. People expected another Conjuring and Insidious type film but he took risks.
@@dfx13productions47but it still could have ended differently within that storyline, so really knowing the twist and kind of betting on it as the inly solution is hard, as it could just be a random monster or paranormal stuff etc.
He made it seem like a paranormal horrormovie but it somehow was more of a psychological thriller and this was also part of the twist, yeah you could have an idea of whats the twist gonna be, but at the same time you can never really be sure as it could have just been a random paranormal thing following her or some sort of monster etc…
That movie was a bonkers mindf@ck! Started as your typical ghost horror movie, then turned into a murder mystery and ended as a John-Wick-With-Brain-Tumor-Turned-Superhero flick! I LOVED it! We want a sequel YESTERDAY!
Yes! I've seen nearly every horror film made, from the 80's until now- and I'm not easily impressed anymore. I loved it. Campy, nostalgic (good 80's sort of flair) and satisfyingly creative. Gabriel's practical effects were great, and the jail scene was one of the alltime iconic horror scenes.
They explain in the movie while Sydney is going through the notes that Gabriel can control electricity because of all the electric therapy or something
I spent most of the movie laughing at it. It was just so absurd, and the fact that the main actress had one facial expression the entire time really made it.
This is just one of those movies you either hate or love. No in-between, full stop. I personally love it. Went in expecting another insidious and was absolutely floored at the police station massacre. Gabriel needs to be in Mortal Kombat.
Hey man, I really like the unique commentary you give. It’s mostly sarcasm and jokes, but you give credit to good scenes and nice arts. It’s perfect and very respectable. Kudos.
Wow! That sounds like an absolutely ridiculous premise. At the end you forgot that Gabriel was able to talk through the radios. Another thing unexplained without supernatural powers.
OKAY OKAY - FINE BIG WILL. I HAVE GROWN TO LOVE YOU AND YOUR WITTY HUMOR AND THIS CHANNEL/SERIES. I GUESS WILL SUPPORT YOU AND YOUR PATREON SO YOU KNOW YOU CAN NEVER STOP THIS. /heavy doses of sarcasm. Love you dude. Keep up the great work.
Eehh, a maker of this movie was involved in the Outlast games?? Ngl, now i lowkey want you to make a "Brutality of" one of the Outlast games (at least the 1st entry 🙏✨️)
I am not usually a person to have overwhelmingly negative opinions on things and usually look to see the bright side. The bright side of this movie was how funny it was. I feel like the beginning was campy and supposed to be, but I was never scared for a second in this movie. The entire room of people I watched it with were absolutely cackling, I understand that Wan wanted to take risks and distance himself from the supernatural horror but it felt like a bad Marvel movie filled with cliches and one liners. The twist is pretty great and maybe I’m reading the entire movie wrong and it is one big spoof, but I simply can’t believe how many people in the comments think this was some sleeper horror hit. No offense meant towards those who enjoyed it, I just simply didn’t get it, I’m glad y’all got more out of it than I did.
Yeah I don’t understand all the people saying it’s so funny and not hot garbage lmao. It felt like a weird anime adaptation like if Parasite or Tokyo Ghoul was made by an edgy 13 year old who pulled the “no that didn’t hit me because I have a forcefield!” card while playing pretend and thinks marvel style one liners every other sentence is peak comedy
I have to say it again: You have hands down one of the best senses of humor on YT! Also I thought I'm tripping when the subscribe-button flashed as you said "Don't forget to like and subscribe"
I hope you'll cover some more weird horror like Death Forest. (Also I hope Terrifier 3 will have some kind of police or SWAT massacre; supernatural Art taking on armed professionals.)
I kinda liked this quirky movie, but my wife burst out laughing when she saw "Gabriel". My wife has a twin and her sister acts just as bad as Gabe, lol.
This is James Wan making fun of the genre he basically created. It's pure self-parody. He's making fun of his own aesthetic as well. Victorian style house that is obviously bigger on the inside. The cops are just parodies of the "Saw" cops. It's also a sort of his own Giallo. It's completely bonkers, and absolutely hilarious. Anyone who takes this seriously is just watching it with the wrong mindset.
Going into this movie I expected it to not be anything really but I was pleasantly surprised when I ended up loving it and the reveal at the end plus the cool affects
😂😂😂😂😂😂 I swear to God I've been subscribed for quite awhile now but I was going through some issues at the time. The "algorithm" and I just love your narration voice, very funny, that was what drew me to the channel. But now that I'm in a very very good place that😂😂 I just realized your Savage Sarcasms and quotes and other bits!! GOD! THANKS BILL like you said here 8:58 😂😂😂😂
This is just campy fun horror. I loved it. Showed it to my roommates and they thought it was absolute trash and said it felt like a cringy anime. I was very disappointed in my roommates.
I loved how crazy this movie got, it made certain concepts feel new again! Also the backwards movements including walking/running were done by Ukrainian actress/dancer/contortionist Marina Mazepa, with cgi being used only when necessary, which made the visuals very impressive and believable since well..it was a real person moving lol. Oh, and Gabriel has the ability to control electricity, stated from the movie.
I enjoyed the movie actually it was one of the best I had seen in a while. I thought it was good. Watched it again with my daughter and she loved the twist at the end. Storyline a little far fetched but enjoyed it.
I thought that this movie was so fun, especially when the chair was thrown haha, I mean I kinda predicted it where she was the killer (and I mean technically I wasn’t wrong) but it was still a fun ride overall
I loved this movie! Loved her acting and the cinematography was absolutely beautiful for this type of film. To me, a very refreshign take on the genre :) You make it sound kind of absurd but it just flows perfectly and I was not expecting that plot twist at all
This has kind of a lot in common with Basket Case. Edit/Note: Also 'The Dark Half'. 8:04 Have you played Stalcraft? 12:33 [cue 'Boots to Reboots' theme song]
Weird that you mentioned background music in horrors. It kind of ruins it for me, as I can't help but to imagine orchestra playing nearby while the killer is chasing the victim, and it totally ruins the scene. Background music often overpowers the movie and maybe I am weird but it always reminds me that "it's just a movie" and ruins the whole experience. There are cases when background music perfectly blends into a movie and makes it better but more often than not, it just makes it... more not real.
this movie was awesome. Its telling to see people that watched a love letter to B movies and thought "why isn't dis like Paranormal Activity", or whatever. The entire point seem to shoot over so many heads.
