Buccs fan here. I've been waiting for him to get a chance. He's had time to sit behind the goat and grow mentally. He deserves a chance to prove himself. I want him to succeed. I'm excited for the year to come. Curious to see if he takes #11 since Blaine Gabbert hasn't re-signed.
If they sign anyone, I think it will be Drew Lock, to compete with Trask for the starter job. He played under Canales in Seattle so he already knows the system from day one. He's a free agent who will be affordable. He has a very high upside with a huge arm and is mobile enough to run RPO. Though they were both second round selections, Lock probably has a bit higher ceiling than Trask due to his physical attributes. Locks biggest problem has been decision making and trusting his arm too much. Rumor has it Canales was staying late with Lock after practice everyday to work on those issues. I think it's almost a given that he signs with Tampa.
Nobody believed in Brady his entire career just like nobody believes in Trask right now! Exception, many here believe in trask according to comments here. I believe in Trask too. Everyone deserves their chance to shine!
He should be ready, hopefully, Brady showed him the ropes, and Trask has the skills needed to succeed, just shore up the O-line and give him a chance. Garapalo is good but can't stay healthy, I'd be happy with Fields but he may not be available, Mayfield would make a decent backup if he's not too expensive, and Rogers wants too much and has too much drama. Luck maybe as a backup if he won't hurt the cap. It's Trask's turn now, turn him loose.
I’d like to see the bucs put trash in a position to succeed. However will they do it make take a couple to see him grow as a QB is the organization willing to suck for a couple years to win in the long run. Who knows some these organizations do things that don’t make sense sometimes.
Run it, worst case scenario draft qb next year! Draft a great tightend, maybe a running back, free agent Lt build defense, I like it but not the superbowl right now realistically
Personally I want to play with trask. He didn’t look great in that one game he played but give him a few games to try. But I also think we should sign a new QB. I think baker could be perfect. He would be very cheap practically Blaine gabbert pay with a much much higher skill ceiling. Yea he’s had it rough for a bit but keep in mind he took a shitty browns to the playoffs. Also get Stetson when he goes undrafted and see if he could be a nice option maybe practice squad him after training camp if we can. Let Ryan retire.
I agree with you! Arians never talks about how Tom Brady has built up players around him. Brady has had two years to groom Trask! Arians could always bash Tom but arians never cared about Trask nor did he ever care about Tom. Arians only cared about himself. Trask has his whole world ahead of him to run away with♥️
Why didn't BUCS front office including arians bolster the offensive and defensive line last year with Brady as qb? They began their tank mode under Tom Brady. Brady knows this! It was a spit in his face. Brady will come back and win another superbowl. He has a reason why he wants to now because how he was treated since he came to the BUCS!.arians is a destroyer of teams never will be a leader of men and will never be a hall of a fame coach!
