I would like to hear more from Craig Jones about the way bjj and wrestling are implemented in mma. It seems like he is becoming a popular consultant to mma guys on grappling.
I love how solid Craig's fundamentals are, and also how he obviously doesn't teach them to anyone else. 🤣 I totally agree with his assessment of control. If you can't control your opponent, you're not doing jiujitsu correctly.
i only have his front headlock instructional, but you can see alot of the basic things he shows in those videos, used in these bteam clips, so he does teach some of his fundamental techniques even in instructionals. his game is so smooth an great to watch.
Craig, get some ears on the ground, find folkstyle wrestling guys and coaches who are good at riding legs and working for pins. The only place you can find that sort of top game is folkstyle wrestling (which is what AKA is HUGE on). Find high school coaches and the like.
So now nicky ryan is exploring more effective martial arts instead of MGK, its texas style aikido aoki used this same style of arm attack ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Y2lLQlM5tFA.html
Gees, what an incredible video that would be for you guys to get Mackachev in there and compare how BJJ plus wrestling compares to Islam's elite level of wrestling
1:29 compared to 5:39. Homies facial hair grows back like Wolverine regenerates! I train in Corpus and would love to make it up there to roll with you guys one of these days.
Some Law enforcement agencies actually show straight armbar takedowns that looks like Nicky's takedown. In real applications, it is not a very high percentage one but it can be done.
@@icya5844 iirc, creonte is an old school (derogatory) term that referred to someone who jumped around academies/professors. The joke is that Craig himself has jumped from several academies and professors (including notable ones like Lachlan Giles and John Danaher) as he climbed the ranks of BJJ while becoming the peoples champ/Australias Deadliest Mammal/Everyones favorite runner up before founding his own team at B-Team.
Craig is replying to a comment Machachev made about moving around weight classes because he feels he can implement the dagastani game plan on these strikers and that a lot of UFC fighters deserve to be a brown belt because they can't get up once a real black belt is on top of them, passing guard at will and snatching a triangle choke like lightening.
Craig's point that people are okay being on bottom because haven't trained with someone who knows how to pass guard and pin doesn't really make sense, most people get smashed for years by people better than them, for many it never stops 😅 I think it's been rare for him for so long or he got good so fast that he doesn't remember that period of bjj
the music at 2:37 is just royalty free music/stock music. Unfortunately it's not actually a song. There might be a name for the track but you can't find royalty free track names using Shazam or similar apps.
