In fact, Hammonds were originally invented for churches who couldn't afford a pipe organ.

Especialy when you can get multi dementinal sound with a pipe organ that will last for centuries

It's insane. What a waste. A real pipe organ will pay for itself. Over a time of 100 years, a pile organ will need only minor work from time to time. A digital organ will have to be replaced At least 5 or 6 or even 7 times in a 100 years. That's money down the drain. The pipe organ will last for centuries

"PIPE organ". so it should have pipes, unless a lack of space or money make the real one unaffordable. this is the only reason to chose the fake thing. tell me about professional pianists that having money and space for a grand coda still prefer a clavinova. would be crazy, isn't it? why this should change to normal when talking about the organ? let's talk about longevity. a digital organ will be over in 30 years. technology will be more advanced, will be difficult to find spare parts. now let's talk about real mechanical organ. almost immortal with proper maintenance. in italy we have some organs dated back 1550 still working. do you really think that a digital one will be ever worth of them? and more: how can you be an organ lover if you don't accept that the real thing will always be better than a digital replica?

@@Willorga1708bux i know that Klais, Rieger, Casavant, Kuhn (just some of most famous organ builders) would make a marvellous 3/P 45 stop organ with all that money. but hey, no. lets use it for a digital one. I'm no hater. maybe you hate the King of instruments.

Funny how Trinity Curch Wall street has had enough of their digital organ and have signed a contract for a new pipe organ. With a digital organ its money down the drain because it won't last beyond 25 years but a pipe organ will last for centuries
