I covered a short demo of The Bunny Graveyard a year ago so the first section may be familiar to some. It’s created by the awesome Kenneth Alvarez - the same guy who creates my intro and outro animations! Obviously I may be a little bit biased, but I love the game, hope you do too! :) Also, I've trimmed down a few of the minigames to save time. The rest of the game it there in its entirety though.
I was wondering half way through why i thought the hand spiders looked like something from your intro! XD These animations are utterly amazing, Ill defo get the full game when it comes out
Poor Ben though. I hope we can explain and make up with him someday :( Also poor Nelson, the madman probably managed to survive the fish and get us to safety before "Skye" found him, R.I.P.
Yeah, it sucks that even though we DID do our best to save Nelson (before Skye/Silvie broke her own rules and took him down anyway) he still assumed the worst from us. I’m admittedly not a fan of that kind of storytelling but I hope we’ll be able to explain everything to him later on.
I never thought I would find myself feeling really bad for pairs of gloves, but.... well, here I am! Amazing game, I love the visuals, the concept, the soundtrack, the noises, EVERYTHING!
This game has so many strong points, but what really struck me is how it introduces mechanics so well. It never feels like you don't know what to do. It's a great example of good game design.
I love how the characters' portrait animation when talking are just from Ace Attorney. Also, this is the goofiest, cutest horror game I've seen... I like it. And to everyone saying this is like Pony Island, guys... what?
I think people compare it to Pony Island because of the intro and the general "theme" of the game. Like how it seems like you are playing as someone else, who themselves are playing a game on their computer. Constants and variables, similarities and different details. It has some similar elements, but the exact way those elements are described are different, most of the elements are completely new like the various minigames instead of just "running sidescroller, hacking, computer desktop". Also if that phrase sounded familiar, yes, it came from Bioshock Infinite, and how the idea of how many things in Columbia can be compared to Rapture, yet the exact details of how they are portrayed are different (IE, City in the sky / ocean) But please don't divert the topic more than I just did.
@@shibainu2528Oh, no I get that much - there are certainly parallels you can draw between the two - but I dunno, the vibe just seems very different than Pony Island to me... Like, I get it uses a similar vehicle to move the plot forward but the plot and world itself just feels very different. Less of a "souls trapped in a game/computer" thing and more of a Deltarune thing, just minus the going back to the Light World. But as you implied, and as is obvious - different people have different perspectives based on their experiences. I was just thinking it weird as someone who did experience Pony Island how that was others' main point of comparison, especially when I can only think of one or two parallels that these games share, while for stuff like Deltarune, SAO, dot Hack, or half of the isekai genre - I can list off several more. But hey, thanks for answering. I was a little lost on that. And don't worry - your deviations are safe with me.🤣
(spoilers for this video, if you wish to go unspoiled while watching) . . . . "So, you just watched him die?" My brother in CHRIST, I was swimming for my goddamn LIFE. Ain't my goddamn fault she broke the rules of her own game!
While I am sad this is going to be released in episodes, if it makes the final product a homerun I'll be quite happy. Was pretty excited for this so I'll probably watch after I actually buy and play it myself.
I was about to complain about how short of a game this was because I am IN LOVE and COMPLETELY INVESTED in it, so imagine the delight I felt when I saw a cliffhanger and the words “End of Episode 1”.
The way he tries to run away after having his fingers severed felt deeply unsettling. Like one of those videos where a disemboweled animal still tries to escape a predator.
Oh hey! I remember the demo of this game. It showed a lot of promise. I'll come back to this after work to give it a full watch and see if it followed through with its potential. First glances look good, pixel art is on point. 👌
I imagine a variant where boxy is cursing his mother. Skye : You have no idea what you are doing ! Boxy : FUCK OFF MOM ! "Boosting himself to the void by kicking his mom"
This game made me feel bad for Nelson, Ben, Boxers, the white glove, some of the Handy Pals and for the fighters of the fighter club, and i like this because ever since i started watching people play horror games and started watching Happy Tree Friends, most of the time i dont feel bad for the characters (Unless they're my favorites), the developers really made an amazing game and i hope that chapter 2 will be as good as the first chapter, or even better
I know I speculated previously that there were two Skyes judging from the trailer... One is the real one, and the other is a fake... I DIDN'T THINK I'D ACTUALLY BE *RIGHT* ABOUT THAT! Two questions, though... 1. If the REAL Skye is alive in well, how did Silvie get a skinsuit based off of her? 2. Were Nelson and Ben originally from the world the real Skye was in, or were those two always in Silvie's world? Either way, this is all very interesting!
Th extensive use of purple, bunnies, horror mixed with cutesy characters and cartoons, use of death and graveyard imagery... I wonder if the creator is a fan of The Birthday Massacre band.
This game is excellent! the art style, the variety of gameplay, the surprisingly cool story and interesting characters was overall great! Crazy to think this was made by barely more then just one person as it is pretty pro level if you ask me. I look forward to the next episode!
Ahhh, right off the bat, a "but thou MUST!" conversation. I love a lot of the design choices the author went with, like making the hand float as opposed to walking on its fingers...sure, it would have been cute, but the cuteness would have quickly worn off once the walk speed started choking your rate of movement. Although, the mental image of a finger-walking glove hauling ass Looney-Toons style whenever the sprint button is depressed is admittedly pretty amusing.
YESSSS IT'S FINALLY OUTTTT!!! slightly dissapointed it's gonna be an episodic type deal (context is i'm impatient and i have too many questions) but i remember the demo and oooOOO IT LIVES UP TO MY HYPE!! also i'm eating the animation and absorbing the ability, how.
The plot needs a lot of explaining to do, but I give it the benefit of the doubt since this is only episode one. Pretty game, all things considered. The boxing game is an absolute waste of time, however. Well, the first half is really slow and only works if we aren't supposed to go to the hideout and there's an alternate route where we find more weird things in the garden instead. If we're supposed to meet Boxers and be told about the escape plan, then we should just leave right after and move onwards to the 2nd day. In fact, fighting FighterTaker seems to be the only important thing to introduce his character considering the other contestants died anyway, so we should only fight him as a one-off match, find out about the connection between him and the missing person(possibly Number 8), and then leave. The weird filler aside, I do look forward to episode two. With how things have been revealed, lacking as it is, the pacing will hopefully be more consistent.
Visually it's stunning, and the sounds are also very good. The minigames seem fun. That being said, I think it uses its allure of indie horror game as a crutch for the lack of plot and the not very good writing (which frankly feels pretentious). The artist clearly knows what they're doing; the writer not so much. Definitely has me hooked though, at the very least to see if it ends up delivering in the following episodes. Edit: just read that the artist and one of the writers are the same person; the point still stands
Just finished playing it myself (blind) and found the gameplay past the first day to be utterly miserable. But the visuals are the only part i can really compliment.
Indie horror has been about done to death. Everything's the next Pony Island. Me? I'm here for the visuals more than anything. I'm not going to hold every game to the highest standard, like solitaire. I play games for fun, and TBG is enjoyable.
THIS 100% This game is stunning visually. The animations, cinematic moments and attention to (some) details (like how that one hiding hand had pots of paints near-by) was a nice touch. But damn did the pacing and story cheapen this hard. Cliché beats (oh wow, secretly evil mc evil is secretly evil!) , "characters" suddenly coming in and out of the picture with the player being given 0 reason to give a scallop, like what?? This could have been so cool: that intro + that bit after the drag that was the labyrinthe were intriguing but sheesh, a whole 1 hour+ for this :( Can't even figure out how ABG figured out the last choose your path part lol
the art of this game is nice looking but it's just not gripping me the way it i feel it should, something about it holds it all back. i cant put my finger on what exactly (no pun intended) but the art and animation feels off
I have no choice but to run I just don't know how. I haven't had any support and winter is coming. Rental rates everywhere I've looked have not been kind. I'm not sure what to do and my cat is still here. My parents (Christians) and my community who scapegoated me while frauding against me would treat him like an infirm cat and likely put him down. This, as much as a dick i am for saying this, while supporting others who legit abuse (this is no accusation) and neglect their own animals and children. Statements I make in support of true justice which is why I'm being scapegoated and have to run.
12:21 ILBOQ? Well esoterically the symbolism in this game is once again very Christian specifically... with the left hand showing right hand phased initially, then this dude has to go find all his right handed buddies? And this map here is looking like it's saying L is left while Q is right and B is falling (those poor magicians) - (any one in the know would know what this entails and lots of video games pull this trash). Anyway I'll leave this schitzposting here for someone who gets it.
@@terminal9660 oh sorry I'm just being silly. But I called meteors here the other day and I'm getting tired of being bullied and harassed by people online or digitally or in any way. It's getting to be too much. I'm kind of someone who makes weird shit happen and don't want to make anyone fall apart as a result. I don't want to fall either. It's not something I'm actually able to control I'm just speaking about cause and effect. All of you bully me until I lose my absolute mind mkultra style, I became Sephiroth and now I bring meteors... so like do you want doomsday or don't you? I did say three years ago there would be problems when I go full Eleven. Here we are. I know people are watching. I know people see my texts on this stupid phone and I know someone saw me call the meteors... so what do you want to do? Keep harassing me?
@@terminal9660 my purpose was to stop the meteors not bring them here. Then the guy next door got all my neighbors and all of you to start torturing me. And here we are.
