This was our first burn and no matter how much you research, how many videos you watch or how many photos you look at, nothing prepares you for what lies ahead. People ask us "what is burning man"? Our response: "it's anything you want it to be"! It doesn't matter what your reason is for going or what you are looking for, you can find it in Black Rock City. It's an unbelievable experience and has a flow that could be described as yin and yang. People and things co-exist in this city that don't exist anywhere else in the world.

This was 2011! I was there and it was amazing! You did a great job on this for such a short vid! Can't believe I'm just finding you on here. Dang, wanted to cry again with the temple burn. That temple, with the Megatron and Earth Harp was so special.

Good call. I am of the mentality of use it till it breaks then fix it :) ha. So the day after burning man we dropped the camera off at a repair shop in Sparks...they did a killer with the clean up. Oh yea...and always carry a GoPro in case the big one dies.

Excellent video. Coming up on burn #4. Live changing is just the start of things. Now that we've become part of the burner community and are doing more and more related events it's time to stop spending thousands to rent an RV and buy one. Thanks for helping out with ideas and tips. Hope to see you at Home in 2015.

I went to Burning Man in the 80's and 90's, in New Mexico they have an older tradition of the Burning Man, Zozobra. A giant wood and paper man that is set on fire at night.

You should write a post or do a video on preparing your Camera Gear for burning man, mainly DSLR's etc.....as even just the lightest bit of sand messes up a lens that's still attatched to the camera.
