Playing on a famous horror movie trope, Final Girl is a solitaire-only game that puts the player in the shoes of a female protagonist who must kill the slasher if she wants to survive.
The Core Box, when combined with one of our Feature Film Boxes, has everything you need to play the game. Each Feature Film Box features a unique Killer and and iconic Location, and the more Feature Films you have, the more killer/location combinations you can experience!
In game terms, Final Girl shares similarities with Hostage Negotiator, but with some key differences that change it up, including a game board to track locations and character movement. You can choose from multiple characters when picking someone to play and multiple killers when picking someone to play against. Killers and locations each have their own specific terror cards that will be shuffled together to create a unique experience with various combinations of scenarios for you to play!

One rule to add to the ones that may be missed. Item cards with spaces for the usage marker tokens (the small white ones) have a limit on the times they can be used. Trashcan lid for example.

Just a heads up, the developers said that the scenario's in the lore and scenario book are meant to be pretty difficult. It wasn't not their expectation that people would start right with the scenarios. So don't be surprised if it feels really hard!

44:33 forgot to move the horror up by 5 when the girlfriend was killed. That would have blown his stats up to 5 attack, 3 walk, etc. Also missed the uses for the trash can lid, and panic phases when victims died.

The only good thing about this scenario is my girlfriend it took me 2 tries and I barely got it not having weapons and not being able to save people as fast fucking sucks. I was never able to flip. had no damage to chew through how much health he has. Having a girlfriend is useful but I am too gay so I normally try to save her right away. also, she is met to survive in the cannon she is in every scenario with Laurie. i also don't get why he has dark obsession when this is the first time they met in the last few sure I think it's only there because this was made to be as hard as it could since hans on happy trial is not that hard to beat normally. fun vid

I just played a round with hans and laurie at the camp and got whooped. I had really good horror draws too. I ended up running out of them before he got to his first dark power. But it went downhill so fast. The second to last horror added 2 hearts and gave him extra stab power. His final dark power was to add another dark power which added a second stab so he got mega stabby and when i attacked my run away failed so i was stuck in his space to get mega stabbed and dropped in one glorious death blow.

Shouldn't the still alive victim of panicked after the first Hans kill? Also, when your girlfriend died you said "someone died" and you moved horror up, however it's bloodlust that goes up, but since it was girlfriend the event card said gain 5 horror, so bloodlust would have gone up another 4 (as the horror would have maxed out after 1). Dont have the game so correct me if that's wrong.

Only if the girlfriend dies in the same space. It's a bit hard to make out, but I think Jesse's character was in another space when Hans killed the girlfriend.

I'm not sure but I think both "stubborn kids" and "Girlfriend" events needs to be played at the same time. I only say this because the Terror cards you need to setup doesn't reveal to another Event card.

Overall, I'm a fan of the game. But having the terror level at the point that you roll 1 die, feels very hard to dig out of. If your focus whiffs, 1 die per roll for a turn or 2 is probably game over

It is worth noting that the scenarios in the Lore book are harder than the base scenarios in the boxes.

Why did you move bloodlust up at 36:30? Were you moving for the terror icon? If so, then that would move terror level up one and not bloodlust.

From what I see the components are amazing, the gameplay looks fun....I want it. But for a solo game it takes a lot of space...also a two Player module would be awsome

Inkanyamba after the Hans campaign? Anyone? Would also love to see some EXTREME HORROR MODE gameplay! Sadly the playmat isn't in it's format but the things that change (as seen on the back of the player board from the core box) is you only get 3 dice when horror is 0 (and not 0 or 1), you get only one die when horror is over 5 (compared to when it's 7). You also only get 5 time instead of 6 each turn.

Would you say it is worth having both seasons all in? I don't own the game yet, have seen lots of gameplay videos and I think I would really like this a lot, but I'm not sure whether two complete seasons would be too much and get played..

Each map comes with so many events and setups as well as each killer comes with 3 (4 if you getting the new kickstarter version or retails of next year) finale cards and 4 dark power cards so even a single feature film will last you a lot of time! And besides the kickstarter stretchgoals (which outside of deluxe token and 2 promo girls should ALL come to retail) you might be saving some on shipping now. But outside of mentioned SGs, the Paula Deming promo final girl and the Mystery boxes (which are the definition of optional deluxe, you don't even use them when playing), everything will be in retail. If you want to support the kickstarter and don't want to go all in I'd say get Happy Trail Horrors and either Haunting at creech manor or Slaughter in the grooves for S1 then pick Into the void and Madness in the dark or Terror at station 2891 from S2. These 4-6 feature films should last you a lifetime as replay ability goes.I do Highly Highly recommend getting Happy trails horror by the way. The most basic one since neither hans nor the camp have any special rules but they are really great and helps you get accustomed to a new map with special rules or killers with special rules before you dive into more complex combinations.
