The image is great... the overheats, cut outs and footage corruption and 2x DOAs are not. Oh, and the FOV when gyroflowd is weird af. I bought 2 used GP7 & 8 instead
It's strange about 50% of the comments have complaints about this camera. I've had three of them and did not have any issue with dead batteries, corrupted files or overheating. I feel them in 4:3 and flatten to a linear 16:9.
What kind of settings are you using ? I am still learning to color Grade and maybe that is my main setback so far. Maybe caddx could've added ND32 filter for really sunny weather.
I've just bought it and seem a little disapointed, what are ur shutter and iso settings ? And what kind of treatment do you procede on rushs after filming ?
I locked in all of my settings including ISO shutter speed and white balance. I typically run the ISO as low as I can and put on the ND 16 while running the sunny white balance setting and I film in 4x3 so I can stabilize with gyro flow and post-production.
Yes you can lock in the white balance to a particular setting but you're correct you cannot dial in the Kelvin rating. But you can tell it to go to Sunny which will put it around 5,500K
Yes, I think that's a perfect use case for this camera. Every time I post one of these videos, people compare it to the session, but the great thing about the walnut is is readily available along with spare parts.
I just got one, have very mixed feelings with the ISO settings being non responsive for me in the software. I can only use Shutter Speed to control exposure which isn't ideal IMO...finding the image excellent but the Runcam5 Orange is much more flexible for me. Wondering if you have more luck with adjusting settings on the Walnut or are you doing the same for settings and just using the shutter speed?
Hey, sorry this comment was flagged and held for review for some reason I just found it. Honestly, I broke one in a crash and I have two others on hand. I have not ever had a problem with them overheating. I do live in a cooler dry climate, but I floated a 90+ degree days. Sorry to hear you're having an issue.
Che impostazione di registrazione utilizzi? Io purtroppo non riesco a modificare il WB (bilanciamento del bianco) e spesso registra con colori troppo tendendi sul verde..
I usually set it on the Sunny light balance and I do occasionally have some color shift issues in post-production I need to manually adjust the color temperature as well as the hue to make it look correct.
Battery life is Soso. I usually get about four flights out of it before needing to charge it but it does come with a magnetic charge plate adapter that you can hook up to a Lipo battery for continuous power. I've crashed this camera probably 10 or 15 times I was able to finally break one. I am now on my second version.
Hey man, sorry for the delay just saw your comment. I no longer have the raw footage from this flight. I typically get rid of it once I convert it using Gyroflow.
@@TorontoFPV sorry for the brief answer. I think the walnut has held up better tro crashes and I like the internal battery and WiFi Preview and the image quality is a little better.
No prob bud. I e600 the thumb pro and made a naked mount for it. Was blown away by your grade on it with that big orange building, Id agreed the walnut seems more durable just was curious as I feel it and the insta cams have this built in look that seems a little harder to grade. little over contrast n sat, always nice to gather more opinions! @@AdventureFPV
