@@minabasem oh for sure the older ones are different. New ones are probably gonna have a bunch of electrical mess to deal with though. It comes with the territory ya know.
Yup. Once this Covid 19 issue is out of the way, the used market is going to get cheaper again. I give it two years. Still don’t bother though. Had a cts luxury and lots of issues. With all the electrical stuff this suv has, you are in for a treat.
My caddy Dts had the night vision option , it could be pitch black and I would make a turn and see ppl before I even got to where I was going. Dope feature .
@@andrewledford3865 It does do wonders, but its ironic you never see a used Cadillac over 200k in running condition. There are outliers like a maserati over 150k without engine issues or a honda minivan with a fully functioning automatic transmission and no issues with the gears over 180K. Its in the nature of mechanical components to break, its up to manufacturers to set tolerances in a way that allows cars to function with proper maintenance.
@@andrewledford3865 Oh and the end of the last comment I forget to emphasize the community of ev sheep that think they don't need maintenance. The car still has mechanical components and the lack of regular service and tesla's terrible build quality in retrospect to larger more reliable manufacturers will lead to some pretty messed up EV's in the next 10 years. (sorry had to rant)
now that the tahoe has the same engine and transmission combination available I would never buy the escalade, but before it was like I'd never have considered the tahoe because of the worse engine/trans so GM has no way out of this one
I used to work for Gm by making their fascias which is the front bumper. I would check those bumpers and I always wondered the use for the night vision camera and now I've seen it 😭
These things are for rich people to lease. The electronics will be a HUGE repair cost / nearly impossible to find in coming years. There's a reason 100k mercedes and BMW vehicles can be found for $12k just 8 years later on a small car lot.. $10 grand worth of hard to find and very specialized parts are ready to fail / already failed, and they don't stop failing till you cry uncle and sell the car!
Hmm I currently have 338,xxx miles on my Tahoe truck; I've done nothing but routine maintenance and change blinkers. My Sierra has over 70k miles and nothing yet either. Lucky me I guess lol.
And GM is also doing better than Ford. Ford might be going bankrupt after loosing 2 billion dollars. GM quality is getting better again due to COVID-19 getting better.
There are a lot of negatives with all of those light effects at night first and foremost it lets the carjackers or others who have criminal minds know exactly where you are, and that is a bad idea.
GM: Our performance and reliability have hit an all time low and our reputation has tanked. How can we convince people to buy our vehicles? Intern: Focus less on cosmetics and electronics and more on reliability and functionality? GM: You're fired! Somebody call China and order bigger screens!!!
You’ll look like a total baller until whoever sees you realizes that you spent all of your money on that SUV and live in that apartment complex instead of a baller house
This is how you roll. State of the art. Cadillac is always know to have advance technology in their cars/trucks. I can’t stop drooling watching this beautiful SUV. Had a 2019 and I love the way it drives and you’re overwhelmed by the luxurious features it has.
None of that shit is worth the depreciation for the average person trying to fit in. If you're making loads of money and this is a toy for you then yeah enjoy it otherwise it's a debt trap.
Escalades are always cool at first, but I feel they never age well....ever... all the wannabe rappers and drug dealers start buying them 5 years later pre-owned for half price
I owned a Escalade about 10 years ago you would have to see the pics to see how amazing this thing was…it turned heads like crazy and the police stopped us in twice and earched it one time when my wife was driving it. It was nice when I had it I have it to son finally I have him th keys to the Escalade and he gave me the keys to his Lexus. I put some money into that Escalade but it was worth it!!!
You're trying to run past your car when you see bad guys coming, but your car senses the key fob and welcomes you. Now you're a person of interest to them.
I’ve got an xts luxury and it does that. It’s epic at night. They’ve been doing some of the coolest stuff in their cars for years and other cars just aren’t catching on
What an Awesome ride and light options! You forgot to mention the most common light. The check engine light! It’s often charming to see its warm glow reflecting in the faces of the remorseful owners faces when you pull up at night. Pay attention or pay cash!
