for the russian campaign one there was a scrapped mission where you would play as one of kamarovs loyalist forces and the mission in question would have escort an APC nad it may have been part of a larger campaign
There's no solid evidence that the level you mentioned ever existed. I'm still not sure where people are getting the idea that there was ever supposed to be a loyalist level.
The "Ghost Was In Mile High Club" entry is probably based on the timeline placement of the mission being retconned with Soap's journal included in the collectors edition of Modern Warfare 3. In the journal the mission is mentioned to have been executed by Task Force 141, with Ghost and Roach mentioned to have been among the first members to join TF141 on the previous page regarding the foundation of TF141. Add in the shared voice actor and it's no wonder some fans theorise that Ghost was one of the TF141 members on that mission. The original intent was indeed that it was Gaz, with the player controlling Soap, based on unused audio files labeled airplane_gaz, with one of them having him mention Soap. The files seem to be remnants of the developers attempting to fit in the mission as part of the story proper before being scrapped and turned into a bonus mission.
Yeah defs was originally supposed to be Gaz, I think the Shirley movie quote he says at the start fits the comic relief role Gaz has in cod4 a lot more than the serious portrayal of Ghost in the mw2 2009
The only weapons that were added to mwr that actually fit the game (which personally i thought should been in the game to begin with, are the pkm and the mac 10. Sucks that the bizon, at4, ag36 and hk79 didn't make it to the final game, cod 4 definitely needed more guns.
yeah with the added guns theres definitely two different artstyles going on with the airsoft railblob guns and then something that looks like itd be in the hands of zakhaevs or assads men
@@thegreenfaction this is exactly what I mean!! You managed to put into words what I couldnt lmao. They look more in line with mw2 or mw3s art styles, whereas cod 4 had older looking weapons and equipment (old by 2017 standards anyway)
Didn’t think you would upload another iceberg video so soon and certainly didn’t think it was cod4. Hope you do more of these classic cod iceberg videos, besides their status in the community. They also had small oddities that are perfect for iceberg formats. Awesome vid 🔥🔥
I was actually working on this Cod 4 Iceberg at the same time as the Invader Zim one. I definitely plan on doing more in the future. In fact, I'm already planning videos for WAW and MW2. Glad you enjoyed this one Mike!
Im surprised you didn't show that "Cobra Pilot" was a full on built and working level in the beta (Build Number:253). I've played all found COD4 alpha builds and it worked great and was fun! I'm truly surprised it never made release
Maybe they deemed it too similar to the AC-130 mission and wanted the AC-130 to stand out better, plus probably couldn't figure out where to put it tonally and narratively in the story. COD4 has very tight pacing, tone, and theme, and I think even if they made something that was fun they opted to drop it to keep the whole package together as they had it.
MWR had the BEST dlc weapon system. The grind to get them wasnt toooo bad, if you played the game consistently youd be able to get enough salvage to unlock one and the fact you can choose which weapon to grind towards was amazing, supply drops were also very good since you could either get random items that can help to unlock a weapon or you could get lucky and just straight up pack it. Raven are sooo underrated, if we ever get another remaster raven should absolutely be the ones to do it, its really the perfect remastered game.
oh god imma have a nerdgasm becuase i was just craving a new cod iceberg and this showed up in my recommended. ik you said only up to bo2 but i would love to know more about ghosts and why it ended up the way it ended up. also correction in MWR if you get all guns in a set gold you get regeal and if you get all guns in the game gold you get exclusion zone camo
As much as I remember disliking Ghosts, I would totally re-purchase it and cover it for a video. I'm actually curious about its development too. My apologizes as well! Completely forgot about the exclusion zone camo!
@@ZeroOmens sounds good, iirc ghosts was made becuase they didnt want to make mw4. theres also 3 mastery camos for getting all supply drop items but they shouldnt of been in the game to begin
I can't believe the guy who made the iceberg forgot about the castle in FNG. If you look closely at the skybox, you'll find a castle in the background. Now I can't find any actual castles in Credenhill, the only thing I can find is St. Mary's Parish, but that's it.
Very good video, ZeroOmens! Takes me back to the beginning of the Golden Age of COD and of playing this game online during 2008, while waiting for MW2 to drop.
I always assumed the dude Craig Fairbrass voiced in Mile High Club was Wallcroft, since he appears in FNG (though in the original this was randomized, MWR makes him and Griffen always appear next to Price) and Crew Expendable and reappears in MW3 later, and his design is the generic SAS in all black with a gas mask look the guys in that level wear. Anyway, cool video. Lot of very interesting stuff you covered, especially the cut content. It’s crazy to think that even with the final game being such a huge title in gaming history, it was only a fraction of what the ideas they had originally.
Great video! Kinda wish you would've mentioned some other mods that used to be very big back in the day for CoD4 MP (like the scuffed zombies and/or the higher quality zombies mods). but other than that, I enjoyed this video a lot!!
I did not know there was an iceberg for Cod 4 and JUST Cod 4 (And Remastered) and there is alot of things here i never knew about and this video pretty underrated, i guess many people nowadays dont care much about the original Modern Warfare games because apparently the newer MW is better
I noticed that there were a ton of Call of Duty icebergs on RU-vid, but I've never seen anyone create a video for a specific title, so I figured I'd give it a try. Personally, I don't mind the new MW series, besides MWII (I despise that game) I love the original MW trilogy a lot more though.
Totally Loved the CoD 4 Version for the Nintendo DS, we also had an absolute blast playing it in the bus or train while traveling with the school class or during vacation. Even played every other CoD Title for the DS since i got a flashcard later then. Great Memories!
43:52 Syndicate's Kino 115 world record was recently exposed to be actually faked. RU-vidr Karl Jobst made a video about it, very interesting and worth wathcing.
Bruh Infinite Warfare is not garbage. That's too harsh honestly. It's not the best either, especially with the whole weapon variants bullshit the campaign is very good. Though I'd be lying if I said it was memorable, it had memorable moments in it, especially that ending and intro mission. The multiplayer was just BO3 multi-player, but not as good from what I can remember, mainly gunplay I don't know I honestly confuse BO3 with Infinite Warfare a lot since I only played those on PS4 at the time. It's good but not garbage.
Couldn't agree with the Cold War section more. I also felt alone because it just didn't feel like the Zombies I always wanted, i.e. WaW - BO3. I really wish they would revitalize the classic formulas and not half-ass it. A man can dream.
