@@jrv7054 Atreus ( the human) that we see in the video was Pantheons ( the aspect of war) host body until a fight with Aatrox occured ... Aatrox managed to kill the aspect but not the mortal itself ..even ingame he has a quote " the god died , the man lives" . Even tho Atreus still has some of Pantheons power he is still viewed as a mortal that s why i guess Leona comes into the fight to deny him acces to Targon
Necrit pointed out that Demacian weapons can be found in the pile - basically Atreus fell where all those who failed the climb go, to the base of the mountain to be forgotten. I think while Atreus is down there he sees the climb for the damage it has done and while he is trying to get to the peak he might also be trying to break the cycle. After his experience with Pantheon, Atreus seems to have become an anti-theist. Overall he's a good guy (to people) and in LoR he leads a team to take down a demon that has been feasting on the misery it causes around Targon.
@@jrv7054 really farm from that tho, Pantheon (Atreus) is actually one of the most selfless champions, he has the will power of a legend, stood up for everyone in his tribe, for his best friend (Pylas) and even for his enemies (barbarians who killed some of his tribe's warriors) when Aatrox came for them. The thing with him is, as others said, he has become sort of an anti-theist figure, after getting betrayed by the aspects twice (first by the Solari, second by the aspect of war himself that possessed his body), so now that he has the power of the aspect he uses it to fight for humanity himself, since he saw first hand how the aspects use them as their toys. Summing up, he fights for humanity and the power that resides within every person and their capacity But one that is really selfish and clueless is Leona tho, I'm not gonna go further on that bc I've already written too much and I don't wanna be annoying
I'm always a bit annoyed when people give Riot all the credit, so I will give the animators some credit now. The Call is animated by Unit Image (another french animation studio, like Fortiche). They worked on 2 episodes of Love, Death + Robots (Beyond the Aquila Rift & Snow in the Desert), some Legends of Runeterra Trailers (Breathe, Call of the Mountain, Empires of the Ascended) and the Far Cry 6 Reveal Trailer among other things.
or maybe just maybe people dont know this? if people knew it first hand they would give the credits to the animators. its just weird when people who know every detail of something, bash on people who literally have no idea if its not just the big guy who made it.
@@taurenrogue I don't expect everyone to know who the animators are, but just a simple "the animators did such an amazing job" instead of "Riot is so good at this" is enough. Riot just hired an animation studio to do it for them.
So here are somethings about this: Ornn does not forge weapons, he is a smith god, making weapons would be against his principle, so if he is making one... It's because will need a weapon made from the smith god. Pantheon was hit by an start, which imples... Aurelion Sol. So in this animation we got the implications: Void is getting out of control. Aurelion Sol is breaking free of his prison, which is what is keeping him from destroying the world. People are over Volibear terror and are fighting him and his Ursine tribe. So yeah... if this implies what will happen and lore, first: Void event (fuck yeah) They are expanding the world
It’s the opposite actually… Volibear is returning cause the Freljordians are too weak and no longer need him. So he got summoned by the Ursine and started rampaging Freljord. That’s why Ornn needs weapon: to fight his brother
Even though it looks like Ornn didnt do much in the cinematic, the fact that hes forging a new weapon is huge, as he hasn't forged a new weapon since the last time him and Volibear clashed
I've seen a lot of the reaction videos now, then you came with the "he has endured more than that", all of a sudden the stories that I've read about pantheon's lore flashed back. I main Shen, Ornn, and Panth respectively and you made me remember why I fuqing love mantheon.
This is easily their 2nd best thing ever made. My favourite still is Awaken, but damn they got the tone right for an epic. It seems like it is going towards a sort of Ragnarok
awaken honestly has the most epic shot I have ever seen in my life (when camille jumps on jhin and he bows) but i like the call better over all. the animation is absolutely out of this world and pantheons CG face is the first one where I couldnt really tell if its real or fake.

Just to clarify, none of those bears are Volibear. They are the Ursine =) You see a kind of manifistation of Volibear in the sky, but he's not there yet. Olaf and Sejuani are going to him to fight
