@@mytemporallobeisshapedlike1796 for my stoner kick I’ve had Sleep’s Dopesmoker on repeat for a while now, and really liked Green Druid’s 2020 album At the Maw of Ruin. For some really good western black metal music, Wayfarer’s A Romance with Violence is one of my favourite black metal records of all time. And while the Callous Daoboys are now running, The Dillinger Escape Plan’s last album Dissociation walked, and man does it do it in style.
Yeah, I get hints of that sometimes too. Especially sections like the first half of star baby with the whirring noise guitar riffs, dance-y rhythm section and the general pacing and tone of the screams.
Saw these guys with Tesseract and Unprocessed earlier this year. They were unfortunately let down by the sound in the venue and a dead crowd, but they had a lot of energy and gave it their all despite that. Really like what I've heard from them so far.
@@tituswalterandromedon5621 SWG3 in Glasgow. It's a great venue and the sound was excellent for the other 2 bands, so it was more an engineering issue than the venue itself.
Met a few of these folks at The Dillinger Escape Plan show in Brooklyn the other night and they are so beyond awesome! Can't wait to see them again in August!

These guys are like if Dillinger was WAY more alternative. Huge fan of theirs ever since I happened to stumble on their instagram page. Im also a SUCKER for a play on words. Love these guys. Also is that a new drummer or did he just get a haircut?
