A group of Sea Kings is scientifically called a "fuckton", also commonly known as a "fuck up" due to that being your last thought when you encounter them.
Yes I was about to type that! No wind so no sailing. Mihawk takes his with one swing from one side of the belt, flings himself across the water on his boat.
I was just thinking the other day that there is no group if animals called a 'fleet' or an 'armada' so how about that? A fleet of Sea Kings An armada of Sea Kings
I don’t know if you have but a video on how people age in One Piece would be pretty cool, like how they seem to get stronger and weirdly enough taller with age
Tekking did a video on the strawhats when they’re drawn older and there’s two ways it can go from what it seems either the typical elderly look or the rayleigh look
I've always had this feeling that the OP world is some sort of prison planet that had been modified to run experiments on humans. Also is why celestial dragons where space suits
@@Raylen_Fa-ield That’s actually a pretty interesting theory. Or it’s the original Earth but all apocalyptic & maybe the Celestials found another planet & that’s why they’re so arrogant. Maybe the Purge is the apocalypse & they need the dragons to escape, I DON’T FUCKING KNOW MAN but good theory.
I think right now Blackbeard is going to Whitebeards home island, Sphinx village, where it turns out the 4th poneglyph is located so after Wano Marco brings the StawHat crew back to show them the poneglyph he'll see that the village is ruined and feel terrible for leaving it.
Not to point out the obvious, but two or more Sea Kings would probably be called a Total Annihilation of Sea Kings, because that is what would happen to anyone who crossed their path. Except for the Straw Hats of course. They have the power of Plot Armor and Anime on their side.
@@samuelevans738 yeah, the youngest Sea Kings are all violent and doesn't seem like to have intelligence at all, just eat anything in their way. I doubt Shirahoshi can control the violent wild Sea Kings.
I'm pretty sure Laugh Tale is in the calm belt somewhere. If there is a section of the ocean that has not been explored by random people, it would be the calm belt. And IF Laugh Tale IS in the calm belt, it would make sense that someone(s) created the calm belt with the intention of keeping the information on that island safe.
Is it bad that we’ve gotten to this point in the Tekking lore that he just casually has had a brick on his desk for over a year now and nobody questions it?
The more that I think about the calm belt the more that I think it might have been made by someone with an awakened devil fruit but doing the reverse of what we normally expect them to do.
ASMR Tekking has now revealed himself... Personally ASMR puts me on edge a little bit but I would honestly love a 20-40 minute video on whatever kind of topic from One Piece with Tekking's "calm" voice... THAT would be calming just before bed
Man, I just wanted to let you know I've literally been watching you for years, man, since around 2016 maybe a little later and while you have been blowing my mind for years it is so awesome to see you finally getting the recognition you deserve!
what if the tribe that attempted to live on the 60 season island was the male Kuja warriors whom was exiled to that island for giving the Empress the fabled love sickness
@@alvinip9128 considering that they have a whole bunch of islands under their control/protection... chances are not so slim as you may think because of how navigation works. imagine if all of your three compasses were going wild in the middle of an ocean, you're basically fucked. although they probably always point to safest, scariest and normal island
We actually have something similar to the calm belts in our world (minus the Sea Kings). There is a belt from around 5 degrees north and south of the equator where there is practically no wind or currents called the doldrums. The lack of wind is caused by the trade winds converging on each other in that area and deflecting each other. Sailing ships still get stuck in them to this day and when they do they can be stuck in them for weeks and risk running out of food and water. Oda may have taken inspiration from that, but added Sea Kings to make the Calm Belts even more dangerous.
I'm a little surprised Tekking never mentioned the "doldrums," you know the place in our would around the equator that sailing ships sometimes get stuck in because of the calm windless weather. That said we need to pay Oda his respects for the real world excuse he came up with.
The Calm Belt looks to me to be more like the "horse latitudes" which are the subtropical calms. They are bordering the tropics to the north and south just like the Calm Belt borders the Grand Line to the north and south
Something I haven seen people talk about is that the calm belt and sea kings are for sure based on the real life cycle of eels. It's still a mistery exactly how they breed in detail and the closest theory is they go to a specific point in the ocean that's really difficult to go into.
Shanks: guys i want some good booze were low on booze where the best boozes? Member of red hair: sir its booze island across the calm belt. Shanks:ah great okay everyone in the water were pushing the ship. Red hair crew:aye aye sir. Young seasking:oh a ship yummy. Older seaking:whoa their, thats shanks ship dont go their. Young seasking:shut it old man am going eat it*swim close but the red hair crew all stare at it and make it drown* Old seaking:tryed to warn you. oh well lunch time.
Damn, it's been a decent while since I've had a Baader-Meinhof moment in English but here it is again. Just earlier today I learned the word oar while playing It takes two and here is Tekking speaking of oars right after.
I’d assume the Calm Belts have a sort of gradient into the other seas As you get closer, the waves subside, the winds slow, the clouds taper off, etc until there’s nothing and you’re officially in the Calm Belt
I like the calm belt being created by the sea kings idea. Or a calm calm fruit awakening created it, similar to the theory of the weather on the islands being created by awakened fruit users. I hope that's where oda takes us with an explanation of the crazy weather patterns in one piece. I mean look at punk hazard. The awakened fruit changing weather permanently makes sense and could also explain the calm belt. I wonder if that's how the giant hole in the middle of the ocean got there as well. Let's hope oda explains all that one day.
Loved this video Tekking! I've always liked the Calm Belt ever since I learned that Amazon Lily (one of my favourite islands 😈) was surrounded by it. 30 mins of Calm Belt talk babyyyy.
You know, a thought struck me recently. I always thought the Grand Line was an artificial creation, but if Little Garden has dinosaurs that didn't go extinct, then it probably predates the Void Century by far.
Sorry, haven't listened yet, but I had to get the theory out: Laboon was trying to headbutt his way through the Redline. The first thing we see upon reaching the New World are extremely large (possibly 800 year old) giant whales with identical scars. Theory: Joyboy asked the ancient Poseidon to create the Grandline if the war fails, so he might hide the poneglyths. She used Whales to make fishman island's location, and instructed seakings to protect the Grandline by standing guard within the calm belt - the same way Zunisha was instructed to "walk endlessly". This changed the currents of the oceans, creating most of the unusual weather events within the Grandline.
I reaaally don't know why but i remembered one of your old videos where you started it with a horse on your head cause you had a bad haircut! You make me laugh with every video you post. I'm glad I'm here for many years keep it up 😁😂
So who wants to bet that Laughtale is located in one of the Calm Belts? I can imagine that the Oro Jackson had been built with the specific ability to get through one, because Tom was a genius. The procedure was likely commandeered by the World Government and refined by Vega Punk as a relatively new thing, thus why they have yet to find the island with the One Piece and erase it completely.
In regards to whether they lay eggs: I remember you talked about once that you theorized that the lord of the coast was a very young sea king, in opposition to the ones seen at fishman island, and you went on to say that maybe as sea kings get older and wiser, they seek lower into the sea. That would make sense in regards to the laying eggs part, maybe they're all hatched in the calm belt, they then spread all around the oceans, and then they seek back there at a certain age (size) to lay their own eggs.
You know sometimes you almost make me wreck while driving? Like I'll be driving and then I'll hear like a very loud yell and I think someone is yelling at me from the side of the road but it's just you freaking out LOL you're the best Tekking
