On our last (and very BIG) trip together, Kerry and I took on the Camino De Santiago. Quite different to my other through hiking adventures this was an experience unlike any other. We explored incredible places, hiked amazing landscapes and met some of the most wonderful, like minded people we will ever have had the experience of meeting. The Camino de Santiago Frances at 500 miles was our biggest through hike to date and we had the most AMAZING time.

Watching this was like time travel to a place you've been through others eyes! Memories happily triggered at: - Noticing the emergency banana moment as the gent in front of you points w/ his hiking pole at 32:44 - So many goats 35:28 - I sometimes dream about the sunrises like the one at 38:30 - The sudden thunderstorm moments during those long meseta walks at 43:20 - Cool y'all got a shoot shot of The Way mural at 47:34 (the group I was walking with at that time was rushing to a soon closing supply shop & I zoomed right by). - The stories about what was happening with other people on the camino, like Velahoff who I heard a ton about and never met at around 49:00 - Ron sighting 56:42 - Ugh when Tom got sick so close to the end it was heartbreaking 1:05:54 - But it was such a treat to end up at the End of the World with y'all - That beach has permeant residency in my heart! 1:06:57

Amara, spending that last week with our little group was the perfect way to end our trip. By that time Kerry and I had spent our social energy and you all were just the right level, exactly what we needed! Felt so special finishing by the beach and we both really appreciated your spot on the sofa!

I loved this video! I met you both on the Puenta de la Rabia in Zubiri. We crossed paths many times, enjoyed meals and laughter and friendship! This video brought back great memories!

Robin, how could we forget you! Met on the rabies bridge and got our photo taken together immediately! We shared some wonderful moments together, meeting up again in Burgos and walking around the cathedral is a memory I'll keep with me forever. Hope you're well

We did it in May, there were a few rainy days but most very light rain interspersed with sunshine. There were also of course a couple of very heavy rain days too.

@@acasualhikersguide667 I’m planning on doing it in May 2025 but going on what you guys are experiencing with the crowds I’m wondering if I might push it to mid May to let the bulk of the crowd get ahead of me…

@darrengaudry from what I recall, the amount of people only got bigger as the month drew on. Whilst there were a lot of people it didn't feel too busy in my opinion, though Sarria really was very busy from there on out. If it's accommodation you're concerned about then I'd say that whilst prebooking worked for us, there were lots of people who didn't and had a wonderful time. You'll learn a balance and the swing of things as you go.

@@acasualhikersguide667 much appreciated yeah I wasn’t planning on booking anywhere. I just wanted to go where the wind blew. If that makes sense… I may just have to book…

@darrengaudry it absolutely makes sense and some people navigated doing that well and others had some crazy stories to tell, like sleeping under bridges or open air gyms BUT they were a minority. I'd say if that's what you want to do then do it, maybe book your first few days and see how it goes? The only place I'd say to book in advance is Santiago if you know when you need to get there by
