Pete joining the team was a turning point in the Andertons RU-vid channel. His playing and personality massively raised the bar on what came before. Nice guy too.
I am two years older than Pete, and we took guitar lessons together when I was 14. Can anyone imagine how despressing it was to be constantly outplayed by a 12 year-old? ;-) Congrat's Pete! Amazing story! :-)
I was Tom Jones’ guitarist from 1986 - 1991. Your interview took me back to some of the best years of my musical career ! Also, washing your underwear in the sink of the Four Seasons was priceless! Been there, done that!
Ah that's cool! Come to think of it, what's with all the washing of the underwear in the sink. One would think that the Four Seasons would have a washing machine the guests could use ;-)
Great pedals. I am about to record with the Gunshot this afternoon. Toughest thing with your company is making a choice (or having the wife almost inevitably threaten violence).
I'm a little surprised to be saying this, but it was really moving when Pete was talking about seeing one of his kids born via FaceTime and realizing that he didn't want to tour anymore.
Pete is so humble - "I'm so lucky..." Dude, you have SKILLS - you took advantage of those opportunities and folks recognized your amazing talent. You made your own luck.
Pete makes this channel twice as good. Please stay Pete. maybe give him a raise, and only let him go for a small tour if John mayer calls :P .. Så fedt at se at en dansker, kan nå så langt. P.s. Jeg måtte lige checke westlife koncerten fra Croke Park ud. Good stuff :)
Wow...Danish Pete has crept up on me these last few weeks....I had him down as a just a chap who works at andertons who has great feel.....wrong.....great career, great outlook on life - family first and when you pay more attention......an amazing player. So much more humble than other self promoting individuals that have linked to these vids in the past.
Wow how the hell did the captain get danish pete on the show? he must have come all the way from the console to the recording room. oh btw: how about a room tour of your studio?
Peter You are the man. Talented Respectful, Kind, and down to earth All your hard work and discipline has paid off, but not without you being you. Congrats
,,I didnt 'get' Danish Pete for awhile,,, he seemed a bit silly!!! But then you actually listen and realise he is genius (playing and what he says!)!! and the 'silly' is quite charming boyish joy of living!!!
I wish Lee would have talked more about how Pete became such a fixture of the channel. I get this was mostly a promotion for the new pedal, and I'm glad it finally just made this happen. Pete is one of the most soulful players on RU-vid, and I'm glad he's able to make music for a living and still be home for his family every night.
It is the most shattering experience of a young man's life when one morning he hears Pete's guitar chops and quite reasonably says to himself "I shall never play (like) the Dane"... (except I'm not young).
This has made my morning. Woke up hungover to hell from a wedding yesterday, went round the cafe to grab a bacon butty, come home, whacked the telly on and boom. Meets danish Pete has finally happened 😎
Oh my GOOOOD. The TONES going on in that jam, man... The LICKS comin out of there. That has to be my favorite end-of-video jam from you guys to DATE. The way that Danish man can play has me on the GROUND, and man the sound coming from that Les Paul and the way Lee was playing it, I wanted to straight up cry. You bring out the best in each other. I'm sitting here grinning like an idiot now
Freaking interesting and complete ! A while ago I ordered a nice Fender Japanese Strat' on Andertons, and it turned out the one I got was the last one in stock, which has been used by Danish Pete in a demo video ... ! Sounds cheesy, but I like to say to my friends that I have a Danish Pete guitar .........
I really really like listening to Danish Pete. Guessing at his age, I was probably playing guitar for over 20 years when he was born . . . and he plays rings around me! And I'm no slouch by any means. But you're never to old to learn, and I learn stuff every time I watch Danish Pete play. So, play on, Pete, play on!
Wow, didn't know pete's story. We all realized he is super talented...and have always known he's got the feel. I didn't know the road he's been down. It makes sense considering how well he plays. Go Pete.
I think Pete is a very genuine honest humble guy who's also a phenomenal guitar player and should do an instrumental album to let it all out on guitars there is so much talent inside him he has a great ear for harmony phrasing and he plays with beautiful dynamic control and never overdo and keeps everything musical i guess that came from years of playing as a hired gun and even in demos he hardly noodles everything is so musical about him I wish I could achieve a 5% of what he is I'll be a happy player :) Danish Pete is the man
I think this must have been my fourth or fifth time watching this, and it likely won't be the last time either. Much love for Mr. Honoré, he makes me proud to be Dutch!
I remember commenting on one of Pete's videos over a year ago where I said I thought Pete was a Prince fan because of the Purple Tele. Some guy responded to my comment arguing that I was wrong. There was nothing I could say that would have changed his mind even when I pointed the the Prince-like riffs that Pete sometimes plays. The first time I saw this video I didn't remember my discussion with the arguey guy, but Im glad that I watched it again today and I'd love to say, "So There!" to him :-)
It's very refreshing the way that Pete seems to have no strong preference about a style of music he likes or groups he likes. He's just happy to play guitar. Great attitude.
We've been snowed in for a couple days here in Texas, and I've been watching lots of your videos. You guys are awesome. Very down to earth, regular guys. And great players too. Pete and his purple Tele are becoming my favorite player/guitar duo.
I'm sure everyone enjoyed this as much as me, finally got the interview of the guitarists guitarist. Pete you are one of the few people who seem to get enormous respect from literally every style of player and that doesn't happen every day. Don't change anything you do because this is secret to your popularity 👍👍👍
The first Anderton's channel video I ever watched was the Yamaha 800 series clip. Right off the bat, regarding Pete, I thought "What a fun, entertaining guy"... The more I watched the more I thought, "What a great musician who is also a fun, entertaining guy"... Clearly he could play anything and did so with tremendous touch, tone, and feeling! After watching this interview all those things remain true but you can also see his true depth, humility, and humanity!" I spent a short time in the mid 1980s touring for some major label artists, and everything Pete said totally rang true to my own experience, the good and the bad parts of being a professional performer. It definitely comes with some major personal trade-offs. I am really grateful that Pete is doing the work he does he brings a lot of joy, inspiration, and information to a lot of people, myself most definitely included!!
Hey guys from Memphis Tn. In the states. I have to say that Danish Pete is awesome, love his style! Captain, keep watching and learning from him (as well as the others). You've really improved considerably over the past year. Love the channel... don't ever stop.
I love Pete! His style and note choice is so unique. I play guitar every Sunday at my church. I’ve been playing every Sunday for the last 8 years or so. It scratches the itch. Rehearsal on Thursday, Sunday morning rehearsal, then Sunday service, and even youth on Wednesdays. On Wednesdays we get to play a little more rocked up for the kids. Not that we’re playing for them…but you know what I mean. Whether your playing for a Church or your playing gigs at a pup on the weekends. We are all so lucky to play our guitars with a smile on our faces. I even get to do some youth conferences a few times a year which give me the “travel” feel. Boy I’m grateful that’s only a few times a year haha. I hate being away from my kids overnight. I can’t imagine 7 or 8 months on the road. Pröst!!
So refreshing to see someone who's genuinely grateful for getting to do the thing they love to do. All the best Danish Pete. Hopefully more big tours to come for you.
Easily the best guitarist on this channel and an absolute GOD of loops! Wasn't inspired by jazz it seems, but I believe it was his jazz background that imbued his playing with a certain depth and complexity, translating into his great range and virtuosity today. Truly inspirational! Merci BooCoo Le Capitain & Pierre Le Danois, you've re-ignited my interest and love for the guitar... The 68 dislikes must have thought that Danish Pete was from Denmark...what a bunch of fools 🙄
