Thank you so much for having me on. It was a real pleasure and Lee is a great interviewer! It’s crazy having worked with Andertons for years but not actually had a good old chat! Thank you for your time and for the awesome interview!
And thank you for doing it. It was nice getting to know your story a little better, and how Nuno influenced you at such an early age. I ways thought his influence had come at a much later stage. Cheers
Love your playing but if you have any MoP covers out there or do any in the future, PLEASE post them! Still one of my favorite rock albums of all time and would love to see your interpretation.
Rebea, I love your heavy playing, but it is your beautiful ambient clean playing that leaves me speechless. That ending was absolutely astonishing . . . again. Keep writing/playing man you are outstanding, and one of my guitar heroes.
What I like most about this channel is when Lee or Rob are watching people play guitars they look so into what they're watching and just so appreciative. They have a genuine love for music and guitars and it's infectious and inspiring to watch these videos.
Rabea is absolutely an incredible guitarist. With all that talent he seems to be incredibly humble and very appreciative of everything that has brought him to where he is today.
Rabea is one of those guitar players that as soon as i stumbled upon some of his work i was like okay WHO is this man and what was that? I've watched Bea's videos and I cant tell you how many times ive had to stop and try and learn a little noodle that hes played. So good. Such a cool guy too its nice to see!
Some of the best players I have known in my life (48 years) learned guitar by learning songs and solos by ear. It is a skill that has untold value. Good on you ‘Fro, you da man!
Thanks for being an amazing artist and wonderful human being 🤘 Thanks to Anderton’s for this whole YT thing, it’s just kind of amazing. Would love to see both of you on another TPS episode ❤️
I’d like to add a thank you to Rabea for talking about his using the volume knob and a gainy channel to get cleans. This actually helped me a lot at rehearsal today and now will for my gig on Sunday.
Rabea is and always will be one of my favorite guitar players I especially love when him and danish Pete play together who is also a very tasteful player thanks for the videos guys
Rabea man. Just wow I started guitar 5 years ago watching andertons videos and I've been along for the ride with Dorje and Toska since they began. The chords and ambient playing are at another level. In terms of inspiration there isn't another guitarist out there that I feel can play anything that reaches me on such a deep musical level. Can't wait to see you if you play round the midlands. Keep doing what you're doing🤘🤘
great interview. Rabea is a phenomenal guitarist and has always come across as a really nice guy in all the vids I have seen of him. An honest an very talented musician who deserves the very best for all the effort he has put into his craft. I met him and Rob at the northern guitar show in Bradford a few years back and felt their warmth and genuineness in sharing time with me and others at the show. Good wishes for continued success
Been following Bea since the Ace Frehley Budokan blues vid that I’m still just trying to replicate, what a journey ... and recently he’s been one of my favourite players, and the most favourite guitar tones guy. That outro was just fire! Dem chills... Thanks Bea and Lee for this vid, all the best 👍🏻
Thanks to you Lee for having the good sense to do this interview! Bea, thanks for telling your story. You are inspiring a lot of young people to get it right. Well done! The old saying is true: Bust your butt for 15 or 20 years and you can become an "overnight success". 😂👍
I'm sad I won't get to see Toska play. I'm hoping one day I can. I owe rabea and the lot so much for the content you all provided. I was playing for about a year before I found all of you and that was I guess... 8 or 9 years ago now. Thanks :) I hope to play a gig with those I look up to or be the focus of a "Captain Meets" one day. I think that's how you know you made it! Even if I have to keep working at the restaurant I do now to get there. Not in it for the money. In it for the music and people.
Thank you Bea for showing there is still heart and soul in playing guitar. Thanks man for giving me inspiration to move foward with my playing. This lick at 59:24 is what I hope the trumpets of angels play come my final day. That sounds beautiful brother
Rabea I really enjoy your playing and you and Pete are monster players...Lee it is called paying your dues...Even then you don't always make it...Both of you just keep on keeping on...It's all good.
I always think when I hear Rabea play he's like the PERFECT middle man between Myles Kennedy and Mark Tremonti when it comes to lead playing. Mega melodic with tonnes of tasteful shred
I once stood next to Bea whilst having a piss at a urinal at the Bodega in Nottingham. It’s was on the Dorje/Drills tour. Rob Chapman was having a dump in the cubicle next to us whilst all this was going on. I didn’t speak to either of them. It was the greatest moment of my life.
Enjoyed this interview. Had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with you Rabea in Bethesda Maryland in the States. Ur a Solid Chap!! I thought it was pretty crazy how you were in a band with James Tosland the Champion Superbike rider! Insane!! Wish you all the Best!
I think that, if you feel as if you've found your instrument, what happens is a sort of drive takes over and, not only is practicing on it not work, but it becomes a real pleasure. For me, there was also a rather fierce determination to be a great player. I started on guitar when I was 12, but by the time I was 14 I was the lead player in local bands and gigging professionally when I was 15. It was never work, it was always fun, but there was also always that determination to excel. I'm sure Rabea has approached his playing similarly because the results are plain to see. He is an exceptionally talented young man. Incidentally, I built a baritone Tele -- a stock Tele body with a Warmoth baritone neck. 28-5/8" scale length which is long enough to tune down to a low A! That may be pushing it a bit, to be honest, but it'll handle a low B with no problem. I love having that stock Tele bridge single coil with a baritone scale. Great spank way down low.
Super. Well-deserved I would say. Real, humble and talented. Love the noise, felt the end performance. Improv or a song I wonder, but it doesn’t really matter.
I loved this interview, so many good references to explore from your conversation...thanks boys... you're both hilarious;) Holy crap... the outro....beautiful!!!!
I didn't realize how tight all you all are. How good you are to each other. For that I believe you are the top of the top the 1 in 50,000. And you can play...
Love watching Andertons reviews, especially when Rabea is playing . What’s the tune your playing at the end ? Sounds awesome and I’ve rewound that part in the video at least 4 times now just to listen to it 😎👌
I loeve you guys. You're informative, entertaining, talented and often hysterically funny. :) I've been watching your videos for about two weeks now and if I wasn't stuck in the USA I'd buy a ton of gear from you. Thanks for sharing your talents. :)
