What do you mean by the player not controlling Captain Toad? I already tried thinking about it, I've got nothing. It makes no sense to me. You directly control him. And if you won't explain it is there anywhere you know I can go to see this explanation
I feel like there will be a lot of iceberg videos coming out soon due to the popularity. So congrats on making one of the first iceberg videos, there aren't many out on RU-vid at the time of writing this. Also if you ever remake the iceberg image for captain toad, there are some things you should put on it like the handprints that appear on the wall in the Boo Mansion level, the ghost that comes out of the window on Sinister Street Signs, and the ghost that appears at the end of the level if you wait long enough in Fright Train Flight. Anyways, you did an amazing job making this video, it was informative and I liked learning about these things.
If Captain Toad actually followed the odyssey ship, then that would explain why Mario isn't in the Captain Toad Odyssey bonus levels, This is also why Captain Toad is already in the kingdoms when you visit them in odyssey
