The Car Community is F*cked! 

Being responsible is key. About 6 years ago I was in chicago and some guys were drifting in a road under a bridge. They would have people stop both sides. Let the guys go for 2 minutes. Then let traffic go through. They did this for 30-45 minutes before I left and no one had an issue because it was a barely used road at 2am that was only paused for a couple minutes. I use to do Tail of the Dragon runs. Everyone HARD enforces you keep in your lane. You might ditch your car but you don’t risk someone else because you drove fast. Take over culture is all about inconveniencing people and making everyone watch.

honestly this is why I sort of didn't like how cars in general and being a car guy became a trendy thing on tiktok nowdays. I don't mean to sound like a gate keeper, but I sort of miss the days when I was a kid only one knowing about cars and stuff. it is cool to see kids my age have the same passion now, but most that I see don't know em at all. they just like em from tiktok or any other social media stuff. also with Takeovers and stuff, fuck Takeovers. those people arent real car guys. at the end of the day I ignore the fake people and find the people who actually have that passion for cars. most kids who I know who are "into" cars don't even know nothing about them. it makes me die inside. to me, a car guy is someone who is truly invested in this hobby. just my personal opinion on this whole thing :)

It'll die down eventually and we'll be back to how the car community was in the mid 2000s, early 2010s. Happens with everything that becomes a trend

Simple but true, I’ve had to accept that attention is a major driver for so many of my car hobby related transactions. I am watching this video now because I am going to bag my LS430 and I am at the midlife category in regard to age. I’ve always wanted to slam a ride from when I a teen and saw a lifted lowrider. Something about a car close to the ground that is the epitome of cool

Take overs are so much fun,don’t bash it bro,seeing all those dummies crash,or hit people is the best part!
