Love your videos - so natural and authentic. Just a tip for screws rattling out. Use clear nail polish on the thread when you screw them in - it’s like a gentle lock tight - helps to hold them in, but you can still unscrew them when necessary.

What an adventure you are having . The reason for for the time limit at Zebedee Springs is so private guests from El Equestro have access to the springs . We don’t know anyone towing a caravan across the GRR who finish the road unscathed . Well done . Continue to enjoy your travels . Scones and chips look fabulous .

02:05 Normally 70 psi on the caravan tyres? Check the max inflation on the tyre side. You'll run the centres out of your tyres at 70. I have a single axle, Sunseeker 14 footer, run at 44 highway which gets to 50-52 on a hot day. My Tare is 2130 and ATM is 2950 with a payload of 820. Running at 2600 over the Gibb I aired down to 35 and had no side wall punctures - Cooper 285/75/17. If it's raining - there is no dust. The Carafan will suck in wet dirt = mud.
@nowornever_aus
@nowornever_aus Год назад
Cheers mate, max inflation is 80 psi cold on our tyres, have done a lot of playing around with different tyre pressures and 70 has been the best for us so far along with quite a few other gator owners.

Great video guys, I’m surprised no one has mentioned about the bananas on the tinny, serious bad luck, as I found out a few years back when our friends lost this shit when I suggested bananas for energy when training for the Rotto swim 🤣 not sure I believe it but I’m not gonna tempt fate. How long are you in WA, are you headed down before hitting the Gibb?
@nowornever_aus
@nowornever_aus Год назад
Thank you!! I don’t think we can have any worse luck when fishing!! It’s amazing how widely believed the no bananas is though in the boating community! We are halfway down the wa coast now and wishing we had more time!

@nowornever_aus
@nowornever_aus Год назад
Couple of reasons mate, first was there weren’t a lot of options when buying our van with the timeframe we had because of early Covid days. 2 the ATM of this van as we are towing with the Ranger that has a 6 tonne GCM
@pheonix1758

Not good too drive fast over that deep of corrugations- your shocks will overheat and loose there effectiveness ( if not blow seals ) slow and steady will reduce the damage and excessive wear and tear.. great vlog though guy’s

Howdy guys. We’re off on our lap in Feb and have a quick question: What tyres do you run on your Ranger? I have a set of Dunlop A/T 22’s still in great condition and not sure if i should change. I have so many questions which I won’t put down, but do you have any must do’s you can advise on. I’m going nuts thinking do I bring this, that, weight etc 🤯. Vids are great guys. Hope to see you on the road next year.
@nowornever_aus
@nowornever_aus Год назад
Hi there! We are running Black Bear AT 2’s (275/65/17) just slightly bugger than standard, Love the tyres and we do a lot of dirt roads so are dropping the tyres so often and these things handle it very well! As for what to take and what to leave that is a tricky one! You learn once your on the road you’ve brought a lot that you don’t actually need, for us it came down to being overweight when we got weighed and having to get rid of a lot of stuff! If you have any other questions feel free to message us on Insta or Facebook 👍🏼
@barrystapleton7172

Did they say they normally run 80 psi in the van tyres. Seems rather high to me, but I’m ready to be educated on this.
@nowornever_aus
@nowornever_aus 5 месяцев назад
70 psi, after having so much trouble with swaying when the tyres were at 45 psi I did a heap of research and found this to be recommended. Fixed all of the swaying and still well and truly under the max psi limit even when allowing for an increase when the temps get up. If you think about it we had 2.8 tonne on two tyres so much like a truck the higher psi took the load better

You would think they’d be using loctite on every internal screw in the factory. Honestly would take stuff all time and would be a reputation builder on these roads.
@nowornever_aus
@nowornever_aus Год назад
Yeah, unfortunately most the screws that rattled out were into timber so I don’t think loctite would help in that situation, I did end up using pva on the screws though and it helped a lot!

As a van owner since 2017, done birdsville track, big red bash, WA coast trip, 19 weeks on the road, and also an east coast trip a year later for 16 weeks, its the small things that give you the shits that break. i notice your cupboard handles are the same as mine, had a few of them fail and shit has ended up on the floor, even had a bottle of oil fall out and land on the cook top ( twice !!) and smash it. No oil is stored in that cupboard any longer since :) .
