I believe what happens to most people they show is that they're caught off guard and suddenly their whole reality is turned upside down and shaken, a serious paradigm shift if you will, or better yet "A Carbonaro Effect" and then after all that when he reveals it's a hidden camera magic tv show they're still caught up in different emotions trying to make sense of it all but they can't. That's why in this episode when he reveals it and asks if she wants him to spray her hands she gets scared and pulls back, she hasn't fully understood that it's just a trick or a joke.

Also, it's not true that they are *on* his show. They are on video can be used, if they consent, as part of his show. By saying something untrue, he is sowing confusion. And by saying "No" they may be hinting that they do *not* consent.

Because at that point, she was invested. When I worked in retail, we were taught that: put the product in the customer’s hand while talking about it. Most times, it piques their interest and many will purchase since it’s in their hands.

Love how it's meant for like safety, but if you accidentally spray your hand (which is very likely to happen all the time whenever you spray anything) you only have 15 seconds to save it. That's not exactly safe, but we move.

Michael doesn't just make magic through actions, he can also sway people's emotions by the way he talks to them, eg. imitating the tone of their voice, body language, etc. Making them believe every word he says. It is also one technique salesman do to make customers buy their products. 😉👍🏻
