In the chance that they do let you live with them it's still a depressing outcome, your younger family will see you die, so an alternate version of yourself would probably be scarred since he's faced with reality head on, we all know we die but seeing it happen in front of us is different from just knowing it. Your parents would be sad seeing you die before they did even if you are a different version of the you they know, all in all, no I can't think of that as a good ending.

The end song of EATEOT shows that you are finally freed from the suffering, happy that death is near, while the near sample is sad because those memories will be gone alongside of your soul, wanted to stay a bit longer to say goodbye but it's too late

Honestly I think when you've lived long enough (60s to 80s) you tend to not care anymore cuz you know you've seen a lot of shit in your time. Most older folks die satisfied that they're old and grey. In a way, they die with pride in their longevity.

These are valid points. Because of the Caretaker and EATEOT, I have decided to volunteer in a memory care facility after this pandemic is over. I'm not a young person, btw. But it does seem to have hit a nerve with Gen Z lol. I have seen a couple of comments from people who listened to this album saying they have decided to study Alzheimers or dementia. Also, if they wind up having to care for a parent or grandparent with dementia, they will have more empathy having listened to EATEOT. You're also right about the music. It's awesome and thanks to the Caretaker, it won't be forgotten and is being enjoyed by a whole new generation.

As someone who has had a grandmother die of alzheimer's - you can cry, it's sad and I get it believe me

the saddest part isnt even having it yourself, its experiencing a close relative get it: its just heartbreaking.

It's the longest and most painful death someone can experience. After listening to this, I'm horrified to think this might have been what my granny was feeling. I hope she's okay now

You are just in a spectator mode viewing a memories of yours before the game kick you out of server and switch to the main stable server
