They all mostly drive fast cars because they get sponsor by their team and they have partnership with manufacturer. However they do have their personal favorite car ex. Sainz jr with his golf
During my short tenure living in Washington DC, I drove for Uber eats at night and on weekends for extra cash. I have delivered to billionaires, ambassadors, driven up to the most impressive of estates in Northern Virginia, DC and Maryland and almost always in the driveway were three types of cars: Honda CRV’s, Mazda’s, Honda accords and civics, Toyota Camry’s, and highlanders. There were some fancy cars here and there but these we’re almost ALWAYS sitting in the driveway
Same, I live in Silver Spring, MD and I've done UberEats deliveries for a while as well with similar experiences. It truly boggles the mind seeing multiple neighborhoods FULL of houses worth well over 2 million in places like Potomac and Bethesda. My most memorable delivery involving a display of obscene wealth was to a mansion in Virginia just outside of DC at about 2am. They had ordered like a McDouble and a medium fried from a McDonalds that was 25+ minutes away (that was the closest one that was open) and I made something like $16 from it. When I got to the address it was in a cul de sac of gated mansions, but the address I was delivering to had something I've never seen before nor since, multiple ARMED guards with visible guns keeping watch outside. They didn't have a lawn either, just a single car width driveway that pulled up and around parallel to the front door, so it's not like it was a matter of keeping eyes on a large area or anything. And I know that guns are super common in the south, but you have to understand that in MD, DC, and NoVa (northern Virginia) they are NEVER displayed out in the open unless by police or some business security guards, and even then, those are usually handguns, but these guards had should strapped assault rifles and were wearing suits... Having multiple well armed guards keeping watch all night costs an absolute FORTUNE in general, but probably even more so in this area since cost of living is so high. Anyways, I pulled up and texted the customer that I was there (as per the delivery note instructions) and let the guard that opened the gate for me know why I was there. A minute or two later a relatively normal looking teenager came out and I gave him the order with a normal "Here ya go, have a nice night!" and "Thanks" interaction, so it was a normal and smooth drop off, but I've still never seen that level of security in the 2 years of doing graveyard shift Instacart/UberEats orders in the same area since then. And for the record, the area was perfectly quiet and normal that night, barely any police activity and no news worthy events occurred that night, so it's not like the guards were there as a reaction to the events on January 6th or anything.
You should change the video title to "The cars the 20 richest people allegedly used to drive at some point in their life according to a Google search our intern did!"
Would have expected Matt to know that the Prius was a big thing in California mid to late 00s for common folk and celebs as well, and even after, it became somewhat of a cultural thing
Exactly this is how smart wealthy people are. I hate little kids who see someone in a supercar and act like they know that that person is richer than someone else just because of the car they drive lol so annoying
FUN FACT the Ambani guy owns the second costliest residence after the Buckingham palace and has approx. 27 floor only to park his cars and his securities get to drive in g63s, range rovers etc
Same with Elon driving the Rival to that car! He's stated many times he's driving the new plaid model S. I find it funny that Bill shorted tesla and happens to drive the biggest competition car to the model S, not that I blame him, while not as fast I think that the Taycan is the best looking EV currently in production.
@@CoreanKat The Taycan beats the current fastest Tesla model S, what are you talking about? There is no Plaid you can buy at the moment...Also the Taycan does look better handles better and way better interiors
@@futmut1000 actually no, the plaid is faster by large margins and is available to purchase right now and deliveries already en route. The taycan is better quality but twice the price. Do more research before making blanket statements.
I think this has made me realise that at some level of richness, materialistic things don't bring you any joy because they are so easily obtainable. There's no longer any challenge.
Yup, at a certain point, what you eat is also just a matter of how you feel/ what you impulsively desire at that moment, and not about buying the most expensive thing on the menu. Lobster is great and all, but I would imagine that if you had it EVERY single night, you'd tire of it eventually.
I had that 1992 Honda Accord LX as my first car. It's so light and kinda fun to drive. I did 40MPG from NYC to DC from what I remember (although I can be wrong)
I have full respect for a lot of these peoples decisions when it comes to cars. Granit, they have their weekend cars, but their daily drivers are examples of how they choose to spend their money. Cars are great and all, but you want to have a dependable daily driver. Now matter how much money you have, to have a non flashing car that both meets your taste, and is reliable is fantastic.
thats not the reaon why they drive those cars. Real reason they dont wanna draw attention in public and second is when reporter takes pic of them with car public will have perspective of not expensive person and his company. Why zuckenberg dressed plain? Cause if he wore gucci, prada etc you wouldnt buy his phone. You would see that phone as very expensive
There is 2 hypothesis: 1.They're not interested in paying LOTS of money on luxurious cars (price tag, maintenance costs, taxes etc.) 2.They actually collect cars somewhere (they are interested in investigation or just chilling with them) But no one haven't seen them yet
I personally work with many wealthy people, I can confirm this is true. I have personally seen many rare cars that they collected and want to keep hidden, they always drive a "normal car" for daily commute.
@@TLNN lol IF im rich i would drive a fckn expensive cars specialy sports car, but its not like showing off my cars, house and bla bla... i just dont like showing off idk why lol
I think if you're a billionaire, costs of a car mean nothing but enjoying a private rich life is everything. you don't want daily attention as a billionaire. Imagine how easy it would be for someone to track you if you stupidly drove a million dollar car every day.
@@chy4919 I can also confirm this, the wealthy people that I work with actually pay for their name and photos to be removed from media. One of them is a GT champion, who owns lots sports cars, he actually never remove his helmet in the public for this reason...
For Jack Ma, funny story: Alibaba as a company bought a Maybach 62 and sold to Jack himself as a person. Then he sold the car to another company he founded and rented the car back to Alibaba. by doing so, apart from tax saving, even if Alibaba or himself went bankcrupt, he could still own the car. So my point is, when he moves, he moves with the maybach 62, not this Roewe. He may have a Roewe, but I doubt he will ever use it.
I'm guessing that since you won both of the companies involved, you can make the rental fee $0, and since it's a rental car it can be written off (and tax refunded) as a business expense?
@@abhinavkumarrollno3624 I am talking about the facelifted g63...last year they got 4 in white Edit :- Also they have a collection of over 50 cars, phantom 8 ewb, 2 drophead coupe, 3 bentayga, 4 g63, 7 range rover vogue, 3 autobiography, 2 urus, 812 SF, TESLA Model S and model X, 570 spyder, i8 and tons of other
Because the right cars are actually good investments. Some super and hypercars value only goes up especially for the limited number rare ones. So if you dont drive them nuch if at all they are a really good investment

Fun facts about Warren Buffett- he lives in an average, upper middle class house, and he keeps change in his car to stop at McDonald’s on his way to the office to get his usual. Probably the most humble billionaire I’ve ever met and worked for
And only in RU-vid can you find people commenting about their DBS being sleeker & their wife's 2nd Range Rover is chicer Most of these people are daydreamers & bull $hitters because deep waters are usually calm & quiet

I find it quite cringe when someone is a decades long marriage, divorces and gets remarried so quickly. But I guess there was lots of incentive for the new spouse to seal the deal quickly.
To be fair she help Jeff build Amazon for like 10 years. She is a co founder. Also she is giving all her money away. There is no Karma to hit her. She did nothing wrong.
I do, I see a lot of hardcore Apple fans for instance think owning an iPhone is mixing with the rich and famous, when most of them probably have old phones Android and iOS, or BlackBerrys probably.
Because having all the wealth is often dangerous. It's better often to fit in with the public. But at the same time, most billionaires also prefer just a working and functional car :)
Pojedinci voze jeftinija auta od nekih koji su dignuli kredit koji im je jedva odobren da bi kupili bmw-a 320d u m paketu obavezno sa 250k kilometara, sto su ti kompleksi..
fun fact : Ambani's personal security force drives around in Range Rover Vogues and the local police aid use Discos, X5 and the guy owns 3 Bentaygas and G63's
Better teach yourself that all of that is major bs based on very sketchy old youtube videos and allegations. Most of them if not all probably drive in motorcades with armed guards and armored vehicles that cost much more than supercars. And they know very well how to hide what they drive because they could be in danger. This bullshit that billionairs dont spend money and are humble is total bullshit made up by broke people to feel better. Next time believe that they drive scooters if a youtube video tells you that 🛵
@@tsifsastsifsarotatos2495 oh sorry, please tell me what I meant 🤣 since you know random strangers better than they do lmfao are you above the age of 13?
@@tsifsastsifsarotatos2495 and yes you can, we have plenty of nice cars but there's a smart way to do it. Don't blow your cash on flashy stuff right when you get it. You should have other priorities with your money first, then once all your bases and rainy says and worst possibilities are covered, then you can feel more comfortable buying nice cars. But to get to that point most people save to be able to get there. It's clear you do t have a full understanding of this topic, try not coming at people you don't know so aggressively acting like you live this life and know better than anyone else. Rough look, kid.
They say that people with an avg income of $500k+/yr (maybe like top 2-3% drive cars between $30k-$80k and don’t spend a lot unless they are into cars. Bill Gates changed US laws allowing “limited edition/low production” vehicles entrance and registration ability when he bought his Porsche 959
2 years ago, I bought a 2014 Mercedes E 350 with 60K miles on it and I plan on driving it for ( at least ) another 5 years. Cars depreciate day by day , Luxury models even faster , I rather invest my money in Real Estate or others to diversify my portfolio. If I feel like driving a fancier or newer car model , I just rent it for a day or two so I don’t have to be tied up to an expensive car payment.
One great philosopher said that people that buy Ferraris or other expensive cars are lonely people that need attention and love. We want to be rich because we think that we will get attention and love and respect from others

It would appear that Honda is King! Ellison has nailed it, deep respect for his choices. Anyone who has an F1 is cool, in my book, an LFA is great and a smooth as silk, über reliable Lexus saloon as your daily driver is just a great idea.
Most of this "wealth" is bound to stock prices and isn't liquid at all. Basically means good luck trying to exchange all of your shares for USD at XX Billion. No one will pay that much in reality.
Remember when Bill Gates bought a Taycan instead of a Tesla and Elon Musk got triggered and called him stupid? 😂 For a grown man to act that way is... honestly kinda hilarious
Gates was given money to buy the code for Microsoft and now pretends to be a doctor trying to discuss vaccines. Musk is an actual engineer who sends rockets to space and then lands them on moving ships. Gates is extremely jealous of Musks knowledge.
@@aussie2uGA Also, what you're saying has nothing to do with the Taycan and the fact that Elon spends valuable time trash talking people because of the cars they buy
