Chalino Sanchez is up there for one of the most unfortunate cartel deaths. Called the king of corridos too, and he wounded up dead for simply performing. His expressions before his performance after reading the letter is scary, especially as he wiped his brow before singing. Maybe he wanted to make a statement about the cartels through his martyred death, but no one ever found out what truly happened...

One mistake you made bro, Narcocorridos are not also known as “corridos tumbados,” they’re separate things from eachother. Corridos tumbados just refers to the new wave of corridos heavily inspired by hip-hop flows and subject matter started by Natanael Cano in ~2019. True narcocorridos are a product of the cartels and most of the time have nothing to do with tumbados.
@turntprophet7960
@turntprophet7960 10 месяцев назад
Corrido tumbado can be a narco corrido once you throw in narco lyrics into the song. Like you said, corrido tumbado is a new corrido style that has hip-hop influence. Before that we had corridos alterados and corridos progresivos, which can still be considered narco corridos.

Yea bro but alot corridos tumbados are narco corridos to. And those guys you mentioned that also “started” the style according to you also make narco corridos and incorporate the style into those corridor tumbados aswell. I wont dont think they have rap flows i think they are finally seeing the American influence chicanos have on mexicans aswell. Almost every mexican speaks english but not alot of Americans speak spanish, alot of mexicans come to America, not alot of Americans go to mexico so customs and styles get crossed see how that works?

Search about African music or hiphop music and actually deep dive like this so an African person or hiphop person can feel proud the same way you do. I'm Mexican I just find it so annoying how Mexicans are always "so proud" of themselves. Proud of what exactly? You're proud that he covered nothing but corruption with your race? You're proud that your race is the only race killing off it's own more than any other race? You're proud that your race glorifies cartels, drugs, money, and death? 😂you really must be 12. Cartels also have a big influence in the construction industry here in Texas. I work in concrete and I’ve meet lots of sub contractors who are very successful because they have cartels funding their business as a way to launder their money. They openly talk about it at times and as a small business it’s kinda unfair when you’re trying to do things legit..

@@yungfroglegthe thing is in Mexico, they’re hands are tied that’s why they are trying to get the US to help, and what I mean by hands are tied is because A. There are a lot of cartel groups and some even underground that we don’t know about, let alone cartel groups that may be best buds could go after Mexico, and B. Cartel groups used to not be bad, from my mom has told me is that they used to be used for justice purposes. If the police didn’t do crap about a situation, the cartel would, they also would protect people of the pueblos if life over there ever went into chaos. There’s many other reasons but those are the ones I know of that could be a reason why you don’t see cartel groups being taken down, not to mention. once lets say they were taken down, what would do you think would happen? There would be more, they’d still pop up

Narco corridos are *not* “also known as” corridos tumbados. Corridos tumbados are typically sung by younger artists because it’s a fairly new version of the corridos genre. They’re slow ballads (usually about drugs or being high. Hence the word “tumbado” which kinda translates to ‘tripping’) Narco corridos are ballads about narcos. Completely different. However there are narco corridos tumbados, which is a mix of the two genres.

I live in Tamaulipas and we had a big rap artist coming out our city who rapped for the Cartel and its members, very promising and he already had made a name for himself, but his life got ended when he made music for the wrong crowd, I used to see him around the city all the time. Crazy.

Something similar happened in India during 80s until mid 90s. A major part of the Bollywood industry was funded by Underworld organisations and Gangsters. Entire films were used to Launder Illegal Money into White Money. Being a Filmmaker, Actor etc sucked hard in that time frame. It got so bad, that majority of Bollywood started being dependant on the Criminals. A prominent Actor from that era was even arrested and tried for having alleged involved in Bombay Bomb Attacks of 1993. He was also tried for purchasing Illegal Firearms from a Prominent Gang Member (the latter of these charges turned out to be true). The Media even had recorded Phone conversation between that Actor and that Underworld Gangster. Things calmed down after Public and Political pressure on authorities to remove such criminals via crackdown. Currently, the industry is “relatively” free from this. But it left a mark on it for sure. The entire industry is corrupted with Drugs, Sex, and Nepotism. Either way, this was an amazing watch. Perhaps you will cover the topic in my comment someday.
@earlpipe9713

Much of the same happens in Hollywood too. The criminals there are just very good at spreading their tendrils into the political and news media spheres too, so their misbehaviors, or even existence really, are never widely publicized

the glorification of the narco life is true, as i live in the norte of méxico i see it everday. my younger brother even jokes about it. its very easy to target young boys with money, women and drugs, guns and cars. a life so "easy" that they do not see the dark side of it. its so disappointing to see young boys taking that path and for them pop out later lying on the side of some road, dead and beaten up by the enemies of the narcos they "worked" with or the cartel itself. also, pretty dope to see this type of content in english, its such a difficult topic to talk about since most sources are if not in spanish, common knowleadge in méxico.
