I was just watching a spiritual video from Dreamwise where they go into how that is the actual natural order of how it's supposed to be. The black female as Queen is also supposed to be a Chaos being. The man is supposed to support her and allow her to be and then amazing things are supposed to happen from that. It's deep stuff I don't fully understand yet, but it feels like the truth in my spirit. Of course the woman has to be in touch with herself and that spirit, like Beyonce is for this to work. The West has us out of sync, so that's why it doesn't work right now. But we're all awakening.

This video was assigned to me for an art history class at my college. This may be just the artist over analyzation talking but do you notice how the dancers' mimicked the art? From their clothes to their poses to the choreography. All of these paintings were made at different periods of art evolution. The Mona Lisa (1503) coming from High Renaissance, the Raft of Medusa (1818) (the large painting Jay Z stands in front of at 3:39) comes from Romanticism and is depicting the French ship that was left behind by its unqualified captain and the panic and chaos that ensued. Maybe it is symbolism? And if you notice at 2:16 the two women make up the chair that is in the painting behind them and the white curtain is representing the lady sitting on the chair. This video is the epitome of life imitates art and art stems from life. I love how Beyonce and Jay Z used art from a period of time when white men dominated the practice to talk about the impact of black people and how they were these secondary figures in the time periods of these pieces and now they are the artists, and they are the story tellers. I believe Beyonce and Jay Z talked about the meaning behind this song and such in interviews.
