This is the Carver. A tiny and efficient, 3-wheeled electric vehicle, from Carver Europe. It is the first Enclosed Narrow Vehicle, or ENV, that has an active tilting technology, that offers a unique and exhilarating driving sensation, that we normally cannot find elsewhere. This fully electric and innovative vehicle comes from a group Dutch innovators. The Carver is equipped with a state of the art tilting mechanism. The mechanism allows it to seamlessly maneuver and tilt as you "carve" into corners. According to its enthusiastic customers, this enclosed scooter-like vehicle provides a liberating feeling as if you are flying over the road. In its infancy, the Carver was featured on the British Auto Show "Top Gear". The vehicle received rave reviews. Although the Carver may look small and only has the size of a scooter, it can still accommodate two people. A driver in the front and the passenger in the back. It even packs some space for some extra baggage.

The original was classified as a car, weighed 3,000 pounds and had a top speed of 115 MPH! The low weight, safety kit (lights, mirrors, etc.) & 25MPH limit should allow for sales as a Class 2 E-bike ("throttle-assist" operation) in most markets as EV laws evolve, requiring no special permit or license (local helmet requirements notwithstanding). I've got a valid drivers license and want the E-car version!

Not sure if it's a good idea to tilt the top thereby tiling the rider. Have you considered tilting the bottom and not the top? Also when solid state batteries do become available, consider increasing the speed and range, say around 300-500 miles?

Nou met levens duur van de accu 1000 cycli ,en in de winter reikwijdte van 60 km ben je bijna binnen 1 1/2 jaar door je accu heen als je naar je werk moet wat ong 60 km van je vandaan ligt want je moet 2 keer volladen per dag dan ben je zo aan je 1000 cycli. En bij een prijs (zonder inbouw van de accu ) dus kostprijs van bijna 3000 euro word het een dure liefhebberij , En als je de schijf remmen moet vervangen die niet eens 10.000 km meegaan(dus de remschijf en niet de remblokken) moeten de electro motoren uitgebouwd worden wat ook een duur grapje is voor schijf remmen die qua materiaal misschien 25 euro kosten ,ben je door de constructie bijna 1000.euro kwijt aan arbeidskosten montage en demontage van de schijfremmen achter. Dus al met al geen goedkope Carver

Why does the electric version look terrible? The petrol version had better proportions. The front wheel is now more tucked in to the body and the rear isn't as wide. Looks all wrong. Did he say top speed is 28mph? Well that is as much use as a chocolate kettle.

28mph!? They’re having a laugh, the original could do 3 or 4 times that at least. Why are they quoting the weight of the vehicle without the batteries? That’s like telling the you the weight of a car without the fuel tank and engine. 🤦🏻

It's the right time for Carver. Had they made it more of a pocket rocket with at least 250 mile range, it would be an instant hit. The formfactor could also be better, similar to BMW's Clever prototype. Even at 18-20k, that would be a good price if it came with some performance. These guys are missing out on a lot of business, which is infuriating to watch for something that can work well in just about every market, especially India, Singapore and Indonesia. On the US side; it would be a hit in NY and with more kWh, fun on a California highway. Infuriating! This strikes me as another suck out the equity scam, rather than make the necessary investments to create a truly viable product, like the original Carver One. The original designers and engineers were probably pushed out. I hope I'm wrong because what they initially envisioned wasn't a glorified golf cart.

the only reason we want them from china, is they have cheap labour. and don't care about any thing else besides money.on average 8500 lives a year are lost in chinese mines, and their families get no compensation.

Everything was fine until they said 28mi/h,... at least double of that would do it. There is streets, avenues and "roads" that would be suicide to drive at this slow speed and no one want to be that restricted.

Useless. It can only travel in cities so you need another vehicle to travel outside of the city and most cities do not provide enough space to own 2 vehicles. Better buy electric bicycle. You can keep it in your apartment.

Not the same as the original that was on top gear and men+motors that was innovative the tilt and the front end made that version quality if this is the only version your making them it's definitely a step back for me..unless you still make the original but with a quality electric motor....the original would of made me feel like I'm riding a motorcycle instead of takin my nanna shopping..go for both markets the little around city driver to the speedier car riding around country roads or the peak District having fun ....watch the monoracer now that looked fun,don't make innovative boring also get rid of the robot voice narrating in the clip because if the narrator can't feel enthusiasm for the product the person watching won't....

It has a top speed of JUST 28mph and takes 8 seconds to reach that speed. Also it takes 4 hours to recharge? What a total piece of cr@p. What engineer and designer would want to use their time and effort to create something that has such horrible functionality.

The fact that this is electric, will ensure VERY limited success. This vehicle MUST have an internal combustion engine in order to be successful! Electric power is great, only when able to reach highway speeds with extended range and quick charge times. This vehicle meets NONE of these CRITICAL criteria. When the Carver first came out, it was gas powered but had an engine that was not readily available for mass production and was far too expensive. Find a manufacturer with an engine of 400-600cc, that's willing to provide the power train and you've got a chance. Otherwise, this too, will fail. WE DO NOT WANT THE CARVER TO FAIL! FIX THIS!
