You aren’t the only one that remembers Tiger and Sushi. I still remember adventuring to go see Tiger killing sharks, saying stupid shit to him and getting a 😑 at most for a response lol
I remember. I used to run IPSGIVE back in ‘05-‘08. I loved just killing time and helping other players. I was the guy who’d help and then you’d out-level me because I was just training the noobs up and getting them used to the mechanics of PQs and classes and ALL the details of newbies needed to know- along with helping them with their quests and just encouraging them. I miss that.
I had taken a break and when I got back I thought people were hacking / glitching since we had the chair glitch for like 2 days before I realized I could do the same 😅 KPQ life changing
thats now called quality of life updates but hey you was a kid so of course anything that small would make you feel life changing games these days lack updates and characters that make the game good or fun these days .
hahahahaha for some reason i was convinced that the jumpdown update was a bug and i insisted to all my friends that it would be fixed in a future patch. not sure why i thought that
Man I used to make my mom so mad spending 8 hours a day on weekends playing Maplestory and insisting we leave the game running during my school day so people could buy things from my free market store
Dude I used to pretend to go to sleep then sneak to the computer to play. Only got caught once and my mom was pissed was 3 AM on a Saturday and I was doing kerning PQ trying to hit level 30 on my assassin. Thought I was a badass with my 6 att BWG, Icies and 17 attack claw that I used 100% scrolls on and was dexless
@@dewwwd3431 classic memory, and that was badass back in the day. I remember when I made my first 1m in the Bera FM, thought I was so rich. Top class merch.
Even as adults I think we would all play the old maplestory if they released it. Even though we all work and have jobs now I feel like a good portion of the day would still be dedicated to grinding and partying. The slow grinding is what made the game fun thats forsure.
Maplestory was such a double edged sword for me. I threw my entire childhood into this, completely ignoring everything else like school, but these are some of the greatest memories of my life growing up. Big Bang seriously killed this game and this is coming from someone who climbed to the top of the mountain and hit 200 twice. Also fun fact, just because I saw him in the video, Khainpriest still plays till this day. He’s in the run to 300, lol.
Unfortunately in modern days, Nexon only cares about making the most money. But there are super good and popular classic servers! I recommend Mapleroyals.
Have you ever considered looking into private servers like MapleRoyals? There are several that have rollbacks from various points in MS’ history. MapleRoyals being one of the ones to cover pre-big bang. I suggest you check it out!
There is a private server called MapleRoyals which is pretty good it’s 3.5x exp so not as slow as original game but out of all private servers it’s definitely best
@@dewwwd3431 sadly there seems to be an issue registering for an account, the login screen music got my nostalgia senses a-tingling. Pity, hope it gets fixed soon.
I love seeing people just as passionate about me still and nostalgic about old maple. Ahh the memories they were amazing. Also, Its /find not /track.. noob
KPQ was peak MapleStory fr man I remember being like 13 years old selling tracking names in ch 1 and feeling like Mark Cuban. This video perfectly describes my MS experience growing up haha
This game has given me so many fond memories and actually changed my life! I remember being like 8 years old in 2005 sitting and watching my older friend play for the first time on his mage and how i couldn't wait to get home and download the game and try it out. I spent countless, countless hours exploring and adventuring with friends. I think i got to lv 85 on my I/L mage pre-BB. Right around all the BB changes, I wanted to learn how to make a private server for me and my friends to play on which forced me to learn Java and HTML. Then fast-forward to high school I stopped playing and I focused on following my dream of making my own games, then college came and I chose to study computer science & business because I actually had some skills I picked up from MapleStory and game developing for fun. Now I'm almost 30 years old and I run my own software development company and I get to build software that hundreds of thousands of people use every day and I love it so much! If not for this game, I probably would have never went down this path that I am on now. Thanks MapleStory!!1
Such a good video. You're a real one. I don't play anymore, but I still log in every once in a while to hear Kerning City music and just sit AFK at the top of the map. One of my most vivid and cherished memories was going over to my old bestfriends house circa 2008, I had picked him up a NX card for his birthday and it started to snow right when I got to his house. The Christmas event was going on in the game as well. While we weren't taking turns on the computer, grinding our dexless Sins, we were skating in the church parking lot up the road, then back to Maple. Pointless story I know, but this game holds a special place in my heart dude.
The problem is it wouldn't take long for the game to be filled with bots, just like wow classic and gms, on private servers at least there's some kind of moderation to remove the trash, although they also have 2 big flaws which are too many servers and most of them being a 2 months p2w cashgrab, I really wish some of the serious server owners would team up to make something big or with plenty of new content without killing the oldschool feeling, like it happens with wow.
I played oldschool runescape on release. The nostalgia carried us for about a month, maybe 2, after that, the game absolutely needed new updates as it was just bleeding players almost to it's death. Everyone was older, game mechanics were figured out, metas were formed quick and people didn't like to deviate. The old Maplestory you knew is never coming back, it feels like it did because you were a kid. Any official oldschool maple servers would need new content if it wants to survive. It is not a simple straight road as you want to believe.
I joined Maplestory pretty late, by the time pirates were playable. I remember putting my skill points into HP/ MP wondering why I was doing so little damage in CPQ. I didn't care, I just loved the game! Private servers are great for when you want to scratch that nostalgia itch, but it's just not the same. I miss getting on the ship to Orbis and getting to chat with people inside the boat because everyone was terrified by the balrogs (Minus the few masochists who stayed on deck). I miss the community. This version of Maplestory will always live rent free inside my heart.
heyyy samee, but for me it was putting skill points on both hand and legs skill, and during my job advancement(i forgot is it 2nd or 3rd), I do not have enuf sp to use my sp on that higher job's skill, in the end im just stuck there so I just created another night walker character cuz it looks cool
That ship added to the immersion so much. Made it clear you're leaving your cozy home in Victoria Island and into the true adventure and establishing high level players as *heroes* to look up to and strive to match one day. To all those high level players who gifted me a town scroll after i explored areas way out of my debt, thank you.
What I always loved about Maplestory is the art and music. Finally getting to Sleepywood and hearing the music and seeing the weird, but lovable NPC's and OH MY GOD thee background with the packed trees just made my child brain fill with joy, it just looked truly magical. Going to Ant Tunnel was the same, but with a much more serious, I felt like I was approaching a place that was mysterious and really dangerous and difficult to get to. All the while helping eachother with other people. It's just the vibes, man, Maplestory mastered the comfy yet wild vibe, I just loved its world. And my first time going to El Nath...man, I cannot describe with words how it made me feel, but it makes me tear up thinking about the magic I felt. Put on Sleepywood or El Nath's themes right now for whoever is reading this and you will get my point atleast partially.
Would 100% play a classic server, I've dabbled quite a bit in private servers and enjoyed them. But the feeling of them not being an official server always made me annoyed. I actually uninstalled MS for the first time a few months ago, I would login maybe once every couple months to see how the game was doing and every time I would log out after 5 mins and now I won't reinstall until a classic server is released.
oh man. first GunZ, then Runescape and now Maplestory. actually 3 of my main childhood games as well man. at least during a certain time. I loved all three, but especially GunZ and Maplestory. they have such a special place in my heart. so much nostalgia. I wish I could feel the things that I felt back then again. it was truly magical and I would definitely be down for some kind of Old School MapleStory, even if it probably wouldn't be the same. I'd at least get a lil kick out of it.
I managed to get to 150ish pre big bang and right after i made it to 200 being one of the first 5k people to do it. It was still an ungodly amount of grinding to make it from 190-200 right after BB. Now that I’m older and more mature i realize how much of a waste of time that was but honestly, I was so happy throughout those years as a kid. Now i see people saying the game starts at lvl 200 like wtf. I will forever cherish my early mapling times with real and online friends. I will forever miss those days and I would definitely love to go back in time and hit it hard again only worrying about leveling up instead of worrying about bills, going to work and all that adult bs lol
I'll never forget the feeling coming from runescape dull and slow clicking to maplestory around v0.55 moving with the arrows faster pace killing and the bright colours and flashy skills
The feeling of MapleStory was real. I used to play so much, but basically got stuck on lvl 40-45 on my main since I was just hanging around and trying to make money (didn't make much). I stopped playing way earlier than Big Bang, but I guess the main reason was that I couldn't progress without massive grinding. I've tried some Old School MS private servers, but even then the game is basically just a grind. There's also a problem where the private servers just don't have enough players to feel like a MMO.
I never thought I would ever randomly come across a video that just happens to have my old guild leader in it, I do miss the days of what felt like an eternity at bear wolves
Let’s as a community come together and make a MapleStory classic successor. Something that’s difficult to level in, time consuming and forces you to socialize
I barely got to 30 in the peak OG maple but me and my homies are past 160 on a pre-big bang private server doing endgame bosses I never could have dreamed of as a kid. The community is so active and dedicated it’s kind of beautiful. Great video
I remember being told to get off for the night at like 10-12 years old and I'd say to myself "someday when I retire I will spend it all playing maplestory"... little did I know the game wouldn't stay the same. The grind and mystery is what made it what it was. Happy for the memories. i hope my kids have a similar chance at it.
I am very fortunate to have also grown up in the Runescape/Maplestory era. I was a little younger (I remember literally telling people on Runescape that i was 9, lol) and I was very happy to see Runescape come out with an Old School server and have said that Maplestory needs to do something similar for years. It will never happen. But there would be a true resurgence of players if that did happen.
Maplestory legends has existed since 2015 and it’s never really been very popular. It’s literally just a private server that is vanilla maple with 2x exp, and 3x quest exp. I just doubt many people would play it, before OSRS dropped old school private server player populations were in the 10-100 thousand range if you added it all together, there was way more demand.
Old School Maplestory would be nuts, i mean, i can't play hours and hours of maple like i used to in my childhood, but nostalgia is really powerful, i'm pretty sure that it would be a pretty good usage of my humble free time. And as you sayd, Reboot is the best thing they did to maple since big bang, no pay to win, but still, they get SO MUCH money with just cosmetics, it's insane. This game can't die without going back to it's roots officially, it would be criminal to do so. Best BGM ever
The music brings back the innocence of childhood. This was a perfect game for a kid back in the day. I played it religiously and only got a level 40 bowman and wizard
when ludibrium came out is was literally like exploring a new world. Ludibrium PQ was such an amazing party quest it felt like yoru really has to work as a team and everyone was valuable. when the other party was finally about to exit everyone would start screaming CLICKKKKK lmao sometimes there were so many people on the same channel that trying to get in would be impossible without an autoclicker. Once you got to grinding at zombies you were basically in the endgame. I personally never got to that high of a level back then. by the time I got that strong on my main things started to change significantly. I wss such a henehoe instead of tarining
GunZ, MapleStory & RuneScape: the holy nostalgia triangle for 90s kids. Also s/o to old CoD games though. I've played CoD1 sooo damn much. Nowadays I still play GunZ (pserver) from time to time and maxed an OSRS account. MapleStory on the other hand... I just can't enjoy it anymore nowadays. I tried lower version pservers, but most disappear after a couple of months. Ain't worth the time investment. I'm now also 27, full time job, wife, and things to take care of lmao.
Fellow windian player! Best game growing up and nostalgic hits hard seeing 14:40 with Dillinger and memouri power couple grinding together. I miss when those time were simple and our incredible community filled with so many memories. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. ❤
I've brought this idea up to my friends so many times and they're all for it. I started out with Runescape back in 2007 and play both RS3 and OSRS today. I started MapleStory back in like 2008 after the fact and loved every second of playing. Playing MapleStory now definitely isn't the same as it used to be. I've played on Reboot until lvl 240 and just can't do it anymore. I agree with you 100% that MapleStory could potentially do something like Runescape or WoW in terms of bringing back classic servers. I feel like if they brought it back and updated it in its own way like OSRS does, it'd be a massive hit. I know for a fact that if MapleStory classic was announced I'd be going crazy and would at the very least give it a try. Great video man!
Ahh the memories... The grind was brutal but it really amplified the feeling of leveling up and finally equipping that new gear to the max. It was basically crack for my 12 year old brain. Great video!
mentioning tiger and suuushi reminded me of a Breaking Benjamin music video that was made back in the day when they were killing Zak with a massive party. absolute highlight of 6th grade lol.
There were actually only two servers in my Maplestory era, Scania and Bera. I played this game in beta but was so young I never realized I could get the mark of the beta bandana haha. Thanks for making this video, I love that this game touched others the way it touched me. I think about it all the time to this day and it was some of the best fun I've ever had.
MapleStory was a huge part of my childhood. What definitely set it apart was the social aspect. PQs, Ship Rides, Free Market, etc. I would sometimes just spend an hour browsing random FM stalls even though I was dirt poor. If they bring it back, I think one key to making it successful would be to try and add more social activities like these. And probably modifying the exp curve as well since everyone has less free time now.
I was actually friends with Tiger. I started out looting his drops at Gobies and ended up spending every day with him and his gf at the time, Kittyz0r. Good times. I still play Maplestory now, tho nowhere near as much as I used to.
Broooo I say it all the time, same as you, if they made an old school in a similar way to osrs, i would absolutely pay a subscription. I tried Reboot sort of recently and its a big step up from the completely pay-to-win Maple of today, but it doesn't hit the mark like I'm sure a fully old school version would. I'm super confident it would be a success, here's to hoping one day!
I remember when I was young I joined Maplestory right on the day the Demon Slayer was introduced, so I can't say I experienced this old school Maplestory back then. But I got a sense of the gameplay somewhat by playing private servers before and it's interesting to see that despite the game back then not being as polished gameplay-wise, the social aspect was much stronger than it is nowadays. Sure, you can join guilds to interact with people, but a majority of players now practically speedrun the game and it's not too common now to interact with people that aren't within your guild. Game nowadays feels more like a single-player game. Nexon is really missing out on free money by not making Old School servers. I know for a fact I would give it a try.
i made so many friends on maplestory. funnily enough i made internet friends on club penguin, then we migrated over to maplestory as we got older. i met people and had a blast. i started RIGHT after the big bang update. my first character was an aran. i think it changed for the worse sometime in 2012/2013 when they introduced new characters that leveled up three times faster than the OGs, it just made no sense to play those anymore when you could make a new character and have a much faster progression. so i share the same gripes as you, but with fond memories of the early big bang and then distaste for the next big update. funny how that works huh.
This game ment so much for me as a kid. I totally agree with your points. Being 31 now, I realize wasn't just logging into a game, I was logging into my "third place".
Maplestory impacted my life so much, I have been playing since the age of 7. I will never forgot the best times I had playing this game with my friends. The nostalgia is INSANE! R.I.P pre-big bang your will forever be in my heart.
This was my childhood !!! Thanks for this video man!!! It brought me back to that time for a moment. I miss that peacefull hours behind my desk playong this game with friend al over te world. Love it !!
I actually went on through the early days of Big Bang and it still felt like home. (Mushroom Castle my beloved) But it was a death by a thousand cuts, the production values went up but the original vibe of the game kept getting buried. More and more new classes were added and the story became more convoluted and less mysterious. Nowadays there's a portal to everywhere and several PQs and entire areas were removed to make it more of a single player experience (???) There is no longer any mystery on what awaits you in areas beyond your zone of comfort, I recall travelling to Ariant and descending to Aqua Road to explore and try my mettle against stronger monsters even though i was not meant to be there yet. With so many modern conviniences the magic of discovering and exploring such a large world is gone forever.
Your gunz video got me to play gunz, and its gameplay has stuck with me so much that I'm now programming a gunzlike. I also love old-school Maplestory so much, I listen to the ost multiple times a week and have a Maplestory desk mat I made in photoshop lmao. Good stuff dude
Oh man this brought me back to my middle school days, I was literally thinking of whatever happened to Tiger and Suuushi as I was watching this and then you just mentioned them lol. Also I remember my main and first character that was a lvl45 warrior that had fucked up stats but I couldn't reroll cause getting to that level literally took months lmao.
I played MapleStory (Europe) for a few years, starting in 2007. Haven't played in ~13 years (basically stopped before the big bang, and then tried it again after BB had been implemented, enjoyed it at first, but it didnt feel the same anymore and i stopped - similarly to what you are describing in this video...), but to this day I remember these beautiful times. Some friendships I've made in Maple last to this day
damn, this video literally said everything i think about this game. MapleStory was my first ever MMO, and i had a blast on it. I was so addicted to it, but I only liked doing CPQ. I would always create an Assassin, level it up to 51, and then proceed to create another Assassin. Sometimes i tried different classes but Assassin was definitely my favorite. I stole people, got stolen, joined guilds, made friends, made enemies, fell in love with female pixels... I can say it was one of the best times of my life. I still play it, 20 years later, on old School maplestory servers, mostly v83, it obviously doesn't feel the same now that i'm a 27 years old depressed adult who knows almost every bit of info about anything pre-big bang, but I still love it.
Oldschool Maplestory OSMS with a polling system for updates would be amazing 😀so many good memories from past Maplestory and I also still listen to the Maple soundtrack, nice vid man
I'll never forget the variety of fun builds in the old school game. I was a dedicated HP Warrior - Pig Beach was 15-31 for me because I didn't have enough minimum main stat to reliably hit anything higher level. Once I hit 31 though, I got Power Guard and the game changed entirely. I was slow farming mobs dozens of levels higher just by reflecting touch damage back at them while a Cleric friend kept me healthy. I've played the modern version sparingly and it just doesn't have that same heart to it. Yes, things are more streamlined and fast tracked, but sometimes there's beauty in simplicity and just letting the players make the choices or mistakes they want to make.
What captivated me in my childhood was experiencing my first game with great soundtrack, great party play, and artsy graphics. These are still my favorite parts of the game. Hoping party play becomes great again :-)
This was so good man! A lot of it is relatable. My friend showed me this game when we were 13 and my first thought was, "what the hell is this crap, let me go back to Half-Life and Battlefield". Somehow I'm now 31 years old and every now and then through the years I get the urge to play Maplestory and it's the reason why I found your video to begin with. I have friends as well who same as me have been enjoying the real game as well as private servers in recent years, or should I say all years since we started as teenagers. There's only been some pauses in between.
I never had experience this one, since I was already addicted to Original Ragnarok Online, but I did understand the impact since I had few friends that straight up play both Ragnarok and MapleStory.
Oof, you deleted the reddit post right as I commented lmao. Fun video! Some notes: You should of clarified what era of Classic Maplestory (the years and such) you were covering as some of the pain points you mentioned were actually fixed at different points before big bang. The tracking command was /find not /track The main reason party quests were limited to 1 party per channel was because of the rewards. Mainly the rare rewards like scrolls and equipment like you mentioned in the video. Party quests being "faster" was only under perfect conditions. There were times you could grab a party and find a channel quick. There were also times where it could take upwards of a half hour just to get in for the first time that day. I actually outleveled many of my friends who focused on party questing only as if I couldn't find a party and get in within 15ish minutes of searching, I'd head off and just grind/do other activities. You made a MASSIVE jump from the early days of Maple to big bang. By the time Big Bang hit, there was actually quite a lot of higher-level content, granted not content up to 200, but still quite a bit to work towards. Not sure if you looked at the southperry timeline for reference before making the video, but definitely give it a look when you get the chance. www.southperry.net/timeline.php I'm surprised you didn't cover potential at all as it was one of the main driving factors behind many veteran players departure before Big Bang released. You overexaggerated the impact/changes that big bang made on the game. For the most part Maplestory's core gameplay and progression didn't change all that much and actually leaned even more into social gameplay with the addition of PQ's to 200, Lion kings Castle, Stronghold, PVP, ETC. Big Bang until Unleashed was another golden era for the game. Levels weren't "Irrelevant" suddenly, 200 was still an achievement for quite a while. Hitting 200 Pre-BB was just a higher status than those who hit 200 post-BB. There was also an EXP requirement change that happened in 2009, a full year before the big bang update, and levels weren't suddenly irrelevant then. Your "Level 50 in a day" comment means weren't very optimal when it comes to grinding levels as 50 in a day was possible even before big bang occurred, especially once New Leaf City was introduced in 2007. The training area's it had were absolutely broken rates wise. I'm one of the biggest shills for a Maplestory classic, and I'm 100% in agreement that it shouldn't be 1/1. The goal of a classic server should never be to "Ride off nostalgia" and just be a 1/1 experience. The goal of a Classic server should be to provide a superior experience of the Classic Game for both players new and old, not to repeat the mistakes of the past. To allow players to re-live their memories while also creating new ones. It's fine to have additional content, fix player pain points, and improve the overall user experience as long as the changes don't compromise the core gameplay/experience. Classic Maplestory also has the massive benefit of being an entirely different sub-genre of MMORPG practically having no similarities to its present-day state outside of the Art and music. Because of this, it has an incredibly high chance of obtaining its own unique userbase and coexisting with present day Maplestory, especially if it started to go off its own direction introducing new content past what was received before Big Bang hit. Do the video of everything you want in a classic server, I'd defo watch it!
Very fair points all around. I did a lot of this off of memory and struggled to keep to my script on this video. It was more of a from the soul rather than a through research so I take no issue with the corrections
Thank you so much for covering this!! Everyone I see is just constantly shutting down the idea of old school maplestory… we finally have someone who is on our side boys❤️❤️❤️ this would be the main reason for me to start maplestory again..
you could just play on a oldschool private server like maplelegends, nexon will never make a oldschool server, they even banned discussions on it on their forum. I believe its because people would move from their game where you can pay for damage onto the oldschool version which is less profitable... so they'd lose money.
@@halfwaysleet It's more likely because an old school server wouldn't be profitable from the start. 60%+ of the current player base is in Reboot which is already a non-P2W server and lacks any of the hacking issues that the normal servers have. It would be hard to believe that the current player base would stay on an old school server for more than a couple of months, so now you're then banking development, server, maintenance, and staffing costs on nostalgia in a new branch of a now niche MMO.
@@TheTikeySauce honestly is not so niche, if they made a single official server where people could select the language they want, it would easily get hundreds of thousands, mantainance cost would be negligible relative to the potential profits (theres already chinese servers that get up to 10k online in some days, not sure if thet still do, there's legends that can get 1.5k concurrent, royals that can get 2k~ online, and many others and these are just private servers, so not many people play on them cause of that, ntm they appear as a virus when you download the files so many people that attempt to download it get sketched out and don't play) if there was an actual official one where people wouldn't worry about losing their progress in case it gets taken down by Nexon, it would get a significant number of players so long as it was properly advertised, especially if it was a pay to play system, like 5 dollars a month and or a fee to purchase the game, paired with strict rules against botting, they would make a significant amount of money from people attempting to bot since they would have to pay. But knowing Nexon they'd rather milk the cow right away instead of putting the servers health above profits, they'd likely add exp coupons/gacha for real money, etc. People underestimate how powerful nostalgia is. maple was as big as runescape and wow, and look how their os servers are doing
i wish they would do an old school server. it will definitely make them more money. i would say thousands of players would go back, hanging around in henesys, hunting ground, free market etc. i hope this will happen
i take my metaphorical hat to you kind sir. ty for this- it was exactly what i needed without knowing that i need it... i overcomplicate life most of the time- and this once in a while videos that break up my endless daily work and development give me true perspective. thank you for this piece- i truly had a lovely time watching this.
I've been binging a lot of videos looking back fondly at the older days of Maplestory as of recent, and it's really heart warming to see that even if the game was objectively grindy as sin and poorly balanced in a ton of aspects, there was a hell of a lot of charm for what it was and we all bonded with the little things like PQing, chilling out in Henesys, meeting guildmates to afk at the FM, or just lounge in HHG1. I used to play this game an ungodly amount of time over the years but quit around the time Kaiser and Angelic Buster were added. I have met many people that would end up being close friends of mine I still keep in touch with well over a decade later when most of us have moved on from the game and are busy doing stuff with our lives now as grown adults. Sadly, I don't think the game can ever recapture the magic it once had as it did back in the day, and will simply be something we can look back. You can revert the game to its state as of then, but many people will clamor for stuff like newer classes, magic damage formula change, HP washing, leeching, power guard mules, potential, EXP curves, etc. that diminish the experience of having an "Old School" version of the game. Apologies for the rambling, its just been a huge part of my adolescence and even some of my early post-graduate adult years.
This was a great analysis of one on my favorite games. I still love it so much after all these years that I even currently play on one of those private servers you briefly mentioned.
Excellent video man. You really nailed the nostalgia. My wife and I had played this game up to Big Bang (long before we had met obviously) and decided to check the game out. We were shocked by not only how different it was, but how that warm charming game now felt cold and unfamiliar. If they ever made an officiall Old School Maple Story server, I can only imagine my wife and I flocking to that at day 0, even if it cost a membership fee. Also, Windia for life baby.
Great video mate. I spent a good chunk of the pandemic playing MapleLegends, and they did a lot to improve the gameplay in a way that I think Nexon could just copy over. I think the following would be the minimum (presumably all easy) fixes to have a successful OSMS reboot: 1. increase xp rates (somewhere between 1.5-3x original rates) 2. remove entry limit to party quests 3. remove the need for hp washing 4. buff quest xp/rewards 5. fix leeching meta
Bro looking back at all this and the memories it gives me almost made me cry 🥺 I truly have never had the same feeling MS gave me till this day with any other game
I would play old school right up to before cygnus knights came out! I remember making a crossbowman after maxing out my wind archer (120 iirc) and you'd start off at a higher level using the wind archers moves, and even gave gear as well. I loved crossbowmen so much, barely anyone was playing them too. The ice bird pet was so neat to me. I remember quitting right after middleschool. The days where you would trade total strangers wins in a PVP/PVE game mode. sometimes you'd get scammed. sometimes you wouldnt. you never knew!
Becoming a hermit for the first time… I found this game off of new grounds back in 2003-2005. Fuckin magical times. Windia for life. I still play till this day but it will never hit like it did back then. Just noticed you also had Dillinger in there! I remember he was the first to hit level 200 in windia. Ahhh memories
just a little note about the pq section, you would do "/find" to track people "/track" was not a command people just referred to it as having a track when u knew the ign of someone who went in. anyway good vid
Aznben1994 - Bowmaster - Scania To all my friends I’ve made, hope you’re all doing well/happy in life. Life back then was simple and fun with no worries but party leveling, boss fights or just social hanging out enjoying time with each other. Life now has been not so fun and hard at times. But we struggled much harder back in the days grinding to lvl200 or trying to scroll god tier items and much more. So we all got this. I miss and love you all❤. Those memory I will always cherish even after death.
