Yes, it is 100% the parents fault, if this had happened on a sink estate they would have gone to prison. How can you leave kids, and go for a meal. They played tennis most days, the only photo was her holding tennis balls. They are a disgrace.

Not directly( if indeed she was abducted) but they should not have left their kids unattended in a foreign land. What puzzles me is how calm and unfazed they both seemed throughout the investigation. They came across as arrogant and uncaring.. If Maddy was abducted they let her down its the parents job to protect their children no matter what the excuses.

In a child abduction, police investigators instruct parents to act as calm and confident as possible so as not to give the abductors any advantages. How they acted in your opinion is meaningless. They are told not to be seen very upset which gives off an appearance of desperation to the abductors and emboldens them to keep the child possibly for a large ransom.

If I left my children alone and vulnerable and one was snatched, I could not keep calm until the child was found. Any parents who's child was missing would be climbing the walls in distress.

Even though the parents were having dinner close by with their friends they STILL left their small young children alone. Being a single parent, if I had done that I would be sitting in jail for child neglect. But because they are doctors and we'll off they got in no trouble for neglect.

Both parents were negligence. No comonsense for being Doctors ?? Plus when the were checking on their kids the door was always unlocked Im sure someone was watching them So yes they were responsible. For their own stupidity. I will never will forgive this case . Rest in litle Angelito !!!!!

Right? Anything can happen when little kids are left on their own. The apartment could have gone up in flames, as it was poor Maddie paid the ultimate price for her parents lack of care.

Entirely their fault. I’m still of the opinion Madelaine died accidentally by their hands. She and the twins were drugged and Madelaine may have woken up, climbed up to the window and being unsteady fell behind the couch suffocating there, her blood being found not only on the couch but under the floor tiles too by the cavader dogs. The German paedophile is a scapegoat to make a case not involving the actual parents. A big coverup !!!!!!!!!

They went out dining n drinking so why didn't they hire a baby sitter. Surely both parents are Doctors n they should have known better than just leave three? Children unattended. It's just common sense you get a sitter to look after the sleeping kids in a foreign country. It's so heart breaking imagining this poor child waking up in some strange house n seeing the person or persons there are not her parents. What horror gripped this poor child. I hope n pray as always that she will one day meet her parents again. It's the most tragic case.

The parents of Madeleine are the guilty parties. What parents would leave their kids alone in a strange Country, and go for dinner. The parents both Drs, had enough money to bring their own Babysitter or a quality Nurse. The Story about Bruckner is totally stupid. The father should confess and put this horrible story to rest. He sedated his child , and I think she accidentally died. I can't feel sorry for the parents, because they are at fault . The father got rid of Madeleines body because he was scared. I think Madeleine died because of the sedation she had been given by the father.

How can you blame the parents for something a vile person did. In hindsight they probably shouldn’t have left them in their room alone. But they have probably punished theirselves enough without people hating on them.
