Lets look and listen at the sites and sound of hard working shay locomotives of the case scenic railroad, up to Whittaker Station and return. This is thus far my favorite heritage railroad. Nothing like the sound of a whistle in the mountains of West Virginia.
Around railroads, never be complacent and be aware of your surroundings, be wear of anything that can happen.
Keep it old school, and in Jesus's name, God Bless You All.

Shay locos are really thinking out of the box. The most fascinating loco.

I rode behind the Cass shay to the top in 2018, what an incredible ride. Thanks for bringing back a great memory.

Of course, Nate! He loves to sign autographs and such! But seriously, you should come by and check out the CNRR and if you have the time, we could even put a fire in the steam locomotive.

Thanks for sharing your visit. I love the geared locomotives. I used to work on what is now Cass #11 when it was in San Diego for many years. Chris

I had not idea it was in San Diego. Pacific Southwest Railway Museum by chance?

Yeah, it was at Campo. It was still #3 then, from Feather River Railway. I think they bought it about 1967 from the lumber company, and sold it to Cass about 20 years ago. It is kind of a back-up engine for Cass. @@nates.vintage.trains
