Kieran's mannerisms really define Roman as a character, his awkward posture and dry humor perfectly capture the spoiled brat/abused child dynamic. What a talented actor, he makes me hate and love Roman like I would a brother or close friend 💯
Great interviewer. So well done. You can tell that each person felt like "finally, something I haven't' been asked or talked about before re: Succession".
Great interviewer. Especially appreciated hearing the perspective of J. Cameron Smith about the manifestation of internalized misogyny between Shiv and Gerri. A topic not nearly dealt with enough either in entertainment media or in real life. Stellar!
This genre has never been my type of show (I usually stick with Sci-fi and Fantasy), but after hearing all the accolades, I finally gave it a chance earlier this year.... And WOW! I was blown away! It definitely lives up to the hype. Just incredible, smart writing and the acting is masterclass. I'm so glad I finally watched it. Last week's episode (S04E03) was on a whole other level. I feel like that episode just secured Emmys for these talented actors. They earned it!
This interviewer is great …..I love her energy and smooth interviewing style she gets the job done..ask the right questions in a non threatening way..and she is adorable
Jerry is right. A show this well written and well acted comes along once in a while. Breaking Bad 2008, and the Wire 2002, is all I can think of in recent times. Dialog and cinematography are all so wonderful.
Completely agree. My top list is wire 1 succession 2 breaking bad 3. I’d say Game of Thrones would be on that level if it weren’t for how wrong it went at the end.
@@susanatempel2463Absolutely! Gerri is such an essential character in the whole story, adding more layers and depths to the show. J. Smith Cameron really is so under appreciated, she played that role to perfection.
They all empathized a lot with their character, like us in normal life, we judge others and can not see our faults. I can see Logan's vision, but ignoring Connor on that level as a father was pure badness.
Fantastic interviews by Karama - so much substance and so many clues! Somehow I see Roman coming out in charge of whatever's left of the company after the death of Logan...I guess we'll see
Great interviews! Loved Kieran's and Brian's the most. You always have the best questions that make them think a bit and that just gives them more to provide. Look forward to more from you!
Host is so smart. This interview actually me to know the characters intimately. I actually want to re-watch with this new knowledge and I feel I will get a different perspective and be more aware of the nuisances
@@Theblerdgurl omg of course! You can tell watching the interview that you really connected to the source material because you asked some really thought-provoking questions that I would ask myself as a fan. I feel like I walked away from the interview knowing more about the characters then I did before ❤️
Great questions and illuminating, thoughtful, intelligent answers from all these cast members of Succession, I'm so glad I found Karama Home's interview in this last week before the series comes to a close.
HBO should produce a show about the early life of Logan Roy: showing Logan in the years when he put conners mom in a mental facility and when he married 2nd wife and when the kids were very young but there should be flash backs to Logan’s childhood and formidable years with his brother and whatever went down with Logan’s sister sort of like the God father part 2 flashbacks. Showing Logan’s uncle beating him forming his emotional framework for life and how he became the person we see in succession
My favorite show. Brilliant job by the interviewer. I love the questions, and responses by these incredible actors… great insight into the characters and what makes them tick!! Phenomenal job! You can tell she’s a true fan. ❤👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I loved that it ended up small in the end. It was on their terms. Willa wanted that from the beginning and Logan never really cared enough about Connor to even attend. Their small moment to go forward with it without such a crowd was pretty wholesome and beautiful.
I started reading the comments as soon as I came to this video, and I was like, "Why is everyone blowing smoke up the interviewers behind?" Then, I watched a bit, and she really did do some uniquely interesting interviews. It seems like it was fun for her &fun for the actors, and I know it was fun for me.
Kieran is so cute! It's like when you spend time with a kitten and get that feeling in your chest because the kitten is so cute, that's how I feel watching Kieran here (lol almost wrote Roman haha)!
@@akashreddy2928 Seriously, he's actually their 2nd cousin, or 1st cousin once removed. His grandfather is their father's brother. Greg's mother and the 4 Roy siblings are 1st cousins. He'd only truly be their nephew if he was the child of one of the 4 siblings.
@@notmedicgoddess911 Got it. Thanks for clarifying. In my culture we strictly do not call anyone cousins just brother or sister. Maybe that's why I was confused.
@@akashreddy2928 same in my culrure he would have been considered as their nephew because logan is his grand uncle. second cousins would be the children of your parent's first-cousin.
I love this interviewer! She has great questions, and she is such a beautiful person inside and out. So sincere and has such a beautiful smile. It’s refreshing not to see a phony baloney starlet-wannabe!
He’s been my favorite character from the start!😁 Tremendous talent and just absolutely love his character cousin Greg. I’ve always had a sneaky suspicion that he was always playing everyone or that a minimum he wasn’t putting all of his eggs in any one basket. He and the writers have created an iconic character and that doesn’t happen every day. Congratulations to all of them!!! Your success is well deserved.
fantastic interviewer. when she brought up internalized misogyny between the two most prominent female characters, i fully gasped like "yes! finally!!!!"
I recently binged all three seasons after only watching the first years ago. I can’t shake the feeling that Greg wins. I don’t know how but Greg is truly one of the worst people on the show in my eyes and I think he finds a way to win in the end. I feel it in my bones y’all.
I agree. Out of all the characters, Greg is the only one, who in my opinion has no redeemable qualities. He is the embodiment of raging mediocrity, the perfect conduit for the most despicable evil, and not even realizing it.
Can’t see it. He’s not calculated enough, experienced enough or a killer. I can’t see the Board taking him seriously. He was essentially Tom’s assistant and is not one of the kids, so on what grounds would they put him in as CEO?
The pandemic ruined the game for professionals... They used to travel to interview people.. And have that human interaction and hopefully have a few days to enjoy a location... Now, it's just monitors and you feel the difference. The rapport is simply not there
I don't know what the big deal about this show is. I kept hearing about how great it is so I bought the first season on DVD. I made it through six and a half episodes before I just couldn't take it anymore. The writing is horrible, the acting is almost as bad, none of the characters are likeable, I do not believe for a second these people actually run a huge media conglomerate or if they did that the public would care that much about them, everyone is just ugly.
I don’t feel like it actually picked up until after S1 E10. That’s when repercussions start to echo across the relationships and family. S1 is really just all exposition for the rest of the show. Succession is a heady show; It is also a psychological and strategic “study” to follow. If that doesn’t appeal to you, I understand if you don’t like it. I don’t think anyone disputes the characters are all terrible people.
