I spent my Easter in New York City and went to watch this one. Without a doubt the best show I have ever seen. Because this musical has EVERYTHING right! Music, choreography, actors, sense of humour, everything...
I like him too. Besides Lion King 1 and 2, I've seen Mr. Broderick in the movie version of the Producers with some of his fellow original Broadway cast members, Inspector Gadget, Godzilla, The Music Man (Kathleen Marshall did the choreography), Ferris Bueller's Day Off and his other voice roles in Bee Movie, Theif and the Cobbler and the Tale of Desperux.
Saw this show in March 2013 and thought he could shape up a bit. Also thought some of the numbers were "slowed down" a bit so he could keep up. Kelli O'hara is brilliant. great show.
I like Gershwin Brother music and this looks like a fun musical! Matthew Broderick however doesn't look that energetic even though he's supposed to be drunk in this number.
RU-vid made me pick a name and it sucks That he is. I'm back because he's going to play Older Ralphie in Fox's upcoming TV production of A Christmas Story the Musicsl.
if you look a anything hes been in since Ferris Bueller you will notice Matthew has a very odd shaped body. He's very short but thick and broad like a rugby player which one someone of his height could be mistaken for over weight! also having not aged a day in the face since 3 years ago wouldn't help make his aging body look normal either
Matthew Broderick is painfully inadequate in this. Imagine it with a terrific dancer and singer. and the whole thing would take off. There some lazy dancing here too.
