Eh it's a trash community tbh A lot of them are creative, some are very smart, talented, yet destructive, wild, undisciplined, rude, uneducated, delusional, and lazy outside of the scene
Why does it seem like the audience gives more life when they’re favorite girls are walking than this amazing moment in history???? Do they not like to see people succeed?? Are they jealous?? Don’t they see how impactful this is the the new generation and the ones after them?? Dont they see how far we have come, I mean really how far we have come to see more and more trans people of color in the media doing something positive and inspirational??? Or is it that they dont like their ballroom community going mainstream. I don’t think I will ever find the answer, but to not give these people the same life as they do for their girls walking is beyond me and disappointing as a community.
For what it’s worth, there was a lot more applause coming from those sitting near the stage. I’m not sure what was going on with the second floor. I do agree though, we must honor those that are involved in such a monumental movement!
So why hadn't anything changed from 1987 to 2018. Shady queens then shady queens now smh. We scream and clap for the actors but look down on the ones changing lives fo real.
I didn't see Tyra called to the runway, she is the main character in the show, and i loved how she dressed so elegant for the occasion, yo and that crowd is still the same as they were in the 80s, had it been Janet Jackson or any straight actor or singer they would've been in an uproar, but when it's their own they always allow their jealously to get in the way and usually refuses to give the person the applause, and it's always been that way.
The Legendary Icon Mrs Tyra “Allure” Maison-Margella had been in the scene for years. She got her LSS at the beginning by herself ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8wL8pDFQov4.html

"made it possible for the gay community in New York city to get recognition?" "a part of the New York City explosion?" What? What Ryan did was cool, but the recognition was already there, (whether people liked it or not) the explosion already happened, I mean look at ALL the people at this ball, clearly it was already poppin' and there are balls all over the world, and have been before Pose. Tapping into what is already a force, and helping to create it... is two different things.
CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE THAT'S PART OF THE POSE CAST AND SPECIAL THANKS TO RYAN MURPHY, JANET MOCK, AND THE BALLROOM SCENE. LET'S ALL SUPPORT ONE ANOTHER AND STOP TEARING EACH OTHER DOWN....@LGBQTMUSTSTANDTOGETHER

Pose is the best! We love all of you! Come see us at the FB fan group! POSE FX (tv series) FANS! This show is EVERYTHING and the messages are SO important!
Ryan, MJ, Dominique, Janet and Steven....are pioneers. 50-60 yrs from now, where ever we are in the progression of trans/gay liberation, will not change or overlook what these people will mean in the gay community-at-large. Dominique and MJ, to my mind, were the main characters on the show...and to hate the character Electra, is small-minded. Every show, where there is a focus on family or a group of friends, there has to be an antagonist.. .and there has to be a mother-figure or father-figure, bumping heads and creating friction with that person...otherwise, you're not showing real life. Dominique absolutely NAILED her role...and gave us a glamazon for the ages. MJ, is that person who inspires her children and friends and lets them know that they can succeed, even if they came from nothing like her. The gay/trans community of queer LGBTQ people of color, was starving for a show like this.
Work JACKKKKK for still showing the gurlz how to eat it on the mic... and pulled Mrs. Mock clean across the stage.. -LMFAO !... I cant lie #pose and the cast ... are growing on me..... i felt a little shade from Damon.... did anyone els ..lol .. or did she just have too many labels on .? #wrestleshade
