What you call ¨metalpunk¨ is called Crustpunk. The casualties is sellout punk, but this is is really crust. They even use a real D-Beat.

I had a feeling this would be the progression of their sound after the thrash riffs from the last album. So much better than their street punk stuff.

well im in a band and have toured extensiveley, sold records and will say this, they have the same ABCD formula as they did their last 5-6 albums. Can't say i hate it but i dont love it, they found their sound but, thats why punkcore dropped them and their last label was afraid to put out their album. I useta lvoe the casualties when i was 14, now im 24, compare and contrast people.

You think the metal/punk thing started a couple a years ago? Furthermore you think that it sounds like they are ripping off bands? If you knew a little more about music you'd know that DRI was jumpstarting the "metal/punk hype" in the mid 80's followed very shortly by Suicidal Tendencies and the Cro-mags just to name a couple of larger examples. Metal fused with punk is nothing new, and to say they are ripping off bands is ridiculous, they developed their own sound and stick to it every album

You can't judge the whole album off of just one song. Look at Working Man's Song and tell me its possible. Besides, 20 years later i'd say it's to be expected that they don't sound EXACTLY the same as when they first came out. Casualties make great fucking music and that's that
