I saw him back in '96 with a friend and cat lover, ... and we were standing conversing with him after the show, and he had pieces of raw chicken in his hands that his cats were jumping up on him to get the chicken out of his hands, shoulders, and his lips. His cats were jumping up and were bappy. I've never seen anything before or after that compared to his warm fluid interactions... communication on a unique symbiotic harmony from his gift of loving and communicating with all of them spontaneously. He was living at the Marriott Hotel, and they gave him the stools for people to sit on, and they booked him as an attraction. Talk about win/win ... He was thriving, and his dream came true ... he and his cats got to live as celebrities at the Marriott and do a show at sundown when everyone goes to celebrate the sun down and socialize with no shortage of fun. The salt air and the energy levels go up from already being excited ... we just went into high gear... last time I Googled it, I think there were 160 coffee houses and bars in Key West. Practically everyone from Key West is a stoner. Living there is good for the visual imput... no matter where you look, it's eye candy !! I wouldn't doubt it if marijuana was the plant on a Key West flag. One time, when I went into the Denny's on US1 before you got to Homestead... I sat down at the bar and ordered breakfast... a bellybusters course. He just came up from Key West, and he was a union building manager who had 26 men working under him. He told me all of the men were reliable workers, but that drugs and partying were so seductive that he had replaced most of his original crew. It was beyond belief for him. His crew would party so hard that day would be in a daze and they were working on giving a Holiday Inn repairs and a facelift. People say high up on ladders and they couldn't work ... he'd call the union and tell them to send down 2 or 3 or even 5 new workers that don't have addiction problems. Things were a whole lot better ... money and work were abundant. America was strong and living was luxurious and inexpensive... gas was dirt cheap and America seemed wealthy... the young people of today don't know. I feel bad for children of the covid-19 years and the previous riots back to George Floyd riots and antifa. It was a different world then. If you were born in the last 10 years our economy except for some Trump years,... America has been the world's policeman and corruption got worse. There's just so much money that it invites sophisticated thieves and stupid ones... We are in trouble now. The future has never seemed so dangerous for America as it does today.
