It’s worth watching Utopia, series from 2013. Excellent drama about a fictional outbreak - one of the best things I’ve watched on TV. It’s strange just how much of utopias terminology was also used during C19. V-Day etc…
@@hermanthetosser4219 my aunt was fascinated how much it looked like the contagion movie. Even sent a meme to my mother about the mice waiting for human testing to finish... Had every booster going flu anything she can get her hands on. Strange thing is her partner worked for NHS it's amazing really they don't notice the correlation with prevention and illness.

I'm telling you Funky, the reason you're struggling is because of the structure you use for the live shows, you take 20 minutes to actually start getting to the content, and even then we have another 20 minutes of you breaking off of content to thank members which breaks the whole flow... Do the member thank you's at the end, anyone who is that desperate for a youtuber to say their name will stay to the end to hear their name, but those new viewers wont be bored off their tits 5 minutes in and bail! You need to learn about the algorithm and how it actually works, it all comes down to when you post and how engaging it is. Your videos like this probably have a huge retention, but your live stuff which is the bread and butter, I'll bet money that your analytics show a huge drop in viewers in the first 15-20 minutes and then maybe get a boost after the waffle... Those who subscribe or watch more than one know to skip forward but if you are a new viewer, what you need to grow, will you stick around if you didn't know how long it takes for the waffle and member praise to end? You can't grow if you only preach to the choir, you need to get those new viewers just checking in for the first time to stay and listen to what you say, then you will get more subs and a bigger reach with potential for sponsorship deals... Just get straight to the content, dont worry about late comers, dont worry about thanking all the members, just jump straight into the content and see what your retention looks like then! See if you get that huge drop or whether you have a steady flow from start of the video right up to the end part where you do the member arse kissing... I know you think the members are key, but new subscribers is how you grow, how you maximise your opportunities and revenue... I want you to grow, I wouldn't keep saying this if I didn't believe you would double your subscribers if you cut the crap out and got straight into the thick of it to grip people from the start and make them want to stay for the whole show....
Yes, you are correct. I now watch the replay and forward the greetings. He waffles but I stick around because he gives valuable info. I tell so many people about his channel, but they switch off before giving him a chance, which is sad.
Totally agree. This was over 5 minutes in before it started and as you said people get bored if they are having to wait ages. Luckily I know what he’s like and fast forward but some longer videos can be 20 minutes before he actually starts talking about the matter itself.

New viewers don't give a toss about Garry from Birmingham just tuning in or that Dave from Kent just donated £5, that's end of the video type of stuff.. Existing members will wait til the end but new members won't make it past 2 minutes before they switch off... That's why Funky thinks he's shadow banned, no one is joining as a subscriber but I can assure him that his content is always on my feed because I watch it, I don't tune out. The algorithm works for the viewer, not the content creator, if viewers switch off 2 mins in, the algorithm won't suggest that content again, and then creators claim its a shadow ban... No mate, people are just switching off before the algorithm can see they are interested...

@PeterMaddison2483 he'll see it, whether Funky wants to grow or be stubborn is down to him but for all our sakes, I hope he reads the room, checks his analytics and starts catering for new members with all focus on existing members being at the end, otherwise he will be convinced he's shadow banned for the rest of his time as a creator... Maybe if more people say it he will get the message and do what's best for him to grow... Its a great time to be luring in new subscribers, trust in media is low, people watch RU-vid more than ever...
The log burner looks killer ,we stayed in a cottage for five nights in Snowdonia . This reminds me of that time i did crib goch ridge and the missus did the Watkin's trail .. we had a great time.
