The same thing happened to my friend. She really thought she was talking to Chris Evans for years during his time after Avengers. He asked for pictures and later money. It ended when he announced his marriage and she finally knew it was a lie. It’s a very sad situation and the victims feel a lot of shame.

I’m a huge T&S fan and had no clue this was going on, nonetheless so long! It must have been so jarring and upsetting while going mainstream at the same time too. My heart goes out to her and friends and family, and absolutely Sara as I’m sure it impacted her tremendously too with their careers together. I’m proud of Tegan for making this public! 💜

We need more white knight nerds solving things online for people, would probably help lots of people who mightve found themselves in confusing situations as well as helping the police.

There are several people on youtube who have scam baiting accounts who teach people about this horrible thing. I agree there should be more people talking about this identity theft.

**lol...we need better CYBERSECURITY lol it is not (should not. be) up to the general populous to solve internet crimes or anything for that matter....In fact, the cops do not even have to help someone they see in a struggle,,,, they are to report to the 911 calls!!!** **Courts have repeatedly ruled that their ONLY duty is to serve the party's [a government agency] public safety interests that “employ” them. Police have zero Constitutional duty to protect YOU/US.** We need an updated world...............

This makes sense now. I did notice a decline on the "banter " they'd usually do in shows.. where they'd share personal funny stories and such.. that was always my favorite part of the concerts.. and I eventually stopped going because it declined :(

@@autumnmontgomery7796 I'm 99% sure those sexual relationships folks were having with Fegan would have been entirely digital. Sexting, possibly sending nudes that the catfisher would doctor to pass as Tegan, sending "treats" or gift cards to purchase particular clothing. Similar to what long distance relationships will do when in-person physical intimacy is not possible.

I'm a heterosexual male vocalist and songwriter, and T&S is one of my favorite musical acts of all time. Top ten, even. I've been secretive considering my work because I have numerous homosexual male stalkers. It's difficult and weird. Disgusting
