The Cathedrals - Plain Ole Gospel (Complete Album) 

My enjoyment of Gospel Music is recent, thanks to Gerald Wolfe, who sang with the group in late 1980s. Now I search for more older gospel music by the Cathedrals, especially. My age is 72 and I don't remember the quartets of the 1970s, and now I can't get enough...PRAISE GOD!

I am so blessed every day feel the Lord's presence as I listen to His message from these outstanding singers. Thank you!

I love listening to The Cathedrals! I recently discovered they were one of the groups I loved listening to in the early to middle '70's! Now, I have to hear them every day! Thank you for having this music to listen to!

George Younce was truly one of the greats when it came to story songs like "Golden Toys." I hadn't realized until later that, like Tom T. Hall and Red Sovine in country music, Younce and Jake Hess (of the Statesmen and the Imperials) had that same gift with recitation.

I had this album, as well as several others of the Cathedrals. Many years ago when I got rid of all my vinyl, I should have known better. I still have a working turntable. Was I stupid or what? The cathedral Quartet is, in my opinion, the very best gospel music eversung for the Lord, not to mention the very best Southern Gospel quartet, period.

Still singing We'll soon be done....Even so, come Lord jesus...

God Bless you abundantly!, the last song, brought tears to my eyes, I praise Jesus as He allowed me to have my Dad until his 80 years, and though I know my Father left to rejoice with Jesus I truly miss him, but I'm happy at the same time, as my Dad enjoys that life we all if we are faithful to Jesus be living, an eternal life without sickens, pain, tribes and tribulations. AMEN!

Something really special about this line-up. Fantastic talent came later, but changed the groups style. This was the true "Rolls Royce" group we used to speak of.

Wonderful line-up of songs...our groups sang "I've Been With Jesus"...our theme song...back in the late 50's early 60's !!!.

Never mind lol just thought googling it. 1975 it came out on vinyl..I'll go with that. You can get it for $8.98 including S&H but it's a 16 day wait though...lol

Your music reminds me of my childhood. I remember when I learned how to spell no and I thought I would never have to learn anymore so learn this the old TESTMANT is split from the king James Bible because you can't take the father name and not his faithful. Christianity is a gift unto the gentiles hekate is in charge of heaven to help you be able to create thought from reality nothing but warm blanket of love will be until humanity is a memory the strength of the hewbrew supports the father and Christianity I don't lie but maybe I'm wrong but my words are to give compassion a perfect sacrifice was to end sacrifice that was for the gentiles
