The Cause of ALL Division in the Body of Christ... 

This is also happening in marriages. My wife began to be drawn to error in 2018 and by 2020 my marriage was over, I just didn't realize it until 5/24...at first she didn't think she sinned anymore and thus repentance was no longer needed and sanctification was no longer pursued. Being a Christian became a Bethel love song for her...she even told the judge I had become a fundamentalist Christian and we no longer worshipped God the same way. I'm really torn losing this spiritual battle. I'm thankful that she didn't win!

Pride also causes division…. And unfortunately you can know the truth, and be puffed up by your knowledge of the truth, and it will cause you to judge people falsely, because you are being led of your flesh, rather than the Spirit of God, though you have knowledge of truth.

Here's a quicker, more Biblically in-depth analysis of division: Division is caused by bad doctrine/heresy, Heresy is a work of the flesh (Gal. 5), Division (in the true body of Christ) is caused by the flesh. Failure to "study to show thyself approved," wait patiently on God to reveal to you all Scripture as you study, and teaching from your intellect rather than what God has revealed, results in heresy - which results in division. There are "ungodly men crept in unawares," as mentioned in Jude - and there are also Christians who are deceived, or fail to wait on God in their ministering, thus succumbing to intellectualism, pride, and the snare of the devil - for since no man is immune to the flesh, no man is immune to heresy, either. Being "dokimos" - approved - requires faithful "searching the Scriptures daily to see whether these things [are] so," as the Bereans did.

I just had this conversation with a fellow believer who happened to be Baptist. She goes and plays Mrs. Claus then tells the kids about the “Christmas tree” and the ornaments point it all back to Christ aka sharing the gospel. I explained to her that due to the history and pagans unable to tell the difference between the pagans and Christians through the symbolism I can’t put it all up in my home nor promote it to my children which has caused a slight division between my husband and I. The history of Christmas to me is more detrimental and harmful then oh it’s all Christ centered which is not true. Christmas is the most money invested holiday only 2nd to “Easter” in consumerism. I detest both holidays and to see them being “sanctified” attached to Jesus in the church is sickening to me. I hate walking into a store to see “Christmas” anything in July. To those who say oh Christmas is magical, fun, and good look into the history the come back and talk about how you can keep your lunch when looking at a tree with babbles on it. 🤢

He believes church is for the unbeliever and if the believers don’t like it then they can take a hike. Give me strength Lord Jesus. I’m struggling providing for my children. I will keep faith. I have two beautiful boys both have special needs. I’m overwhelmed because they require so much from me every month is a struggle to not end up on the streets with my boys. Lord restore my faith. There are folks like this even in the best churches. The cool thing about being in a strong biblical church is those things are properly dealt with 🙏 the rest of us will continue to pray for those who are giving into the devil’s temptation. Some have chosen to use the Church for their own reputation and self-elevation so they focus on partisanism and divide the Church. It's not only over doctrine but power and control first for them.

Good doctrine ALONE is not sufficient to honor Christ as He wills. When we read chapter two of Revelation and about the church of Ephasus, though they are commended for their serious pursuit of true doctrine, they fell short in their LOVE. Objective Truth is critical, but Christ cut the bonds of death and sin with His loving sacrifice, and when we forget that, when we forget that a Christian is KNOWN by his love for the church, we have lost our flavor and are good only to be thrown in the road and trampled. You have wonderful discernment into the enemy's strategies, but if you lose your love, it is for naught. Beware the creeping up of spiritual pride. It is seruptitious and sinister and will rob you of your crown.

Anything that causes obvious sin screams in opposition to truth. Compromise always leads to death in the church.

unfortunately theres division because everyone interprets the bible differently. division about what faith means, what works mean, if baptism is needed or not, about the rapture, etc

I would say it's the compromising pastors and leaders within the local church. We literally cannot find a Biblical church here in Central Texas. We were attending a local independent Baptist church but the pastor doesn't like hearing truth.

We are called, but not to be a prophet or celebrity preacher, or false christ or and so forth. We are already called. No voices, visits, angel feathers or rainbows needed. We are called. Believe it. You don't need to see a door open and you don't need a pulpit. Preach on the streets to whomever will listen Preach to the outcast and needy to. Preach in the parks and in stores and on buses and trains. Preach to your coworker. Invite a person to coffee at mcDonald's. Preach to the homeless. Preach to the sick or homeless or needy. Preach to the broken hearted and crushed in spirit. Preach to the shut in and the feeble minded. Nobody is too important to preach to these people and everybody is called to take time and do this and to also be generous to the poor and needy.

Maybe the cause of division in the body of Christ is because most of the folks causing division are not really in the body of Christ.

I think the MAIN division is understanding the Sovereignty of God in ALL THINGS. People say they believe “God is King and Sovereign,” but then they also believe people can “choose” Christ, even though the Bible says we are DEAD in our trespasses and sins. Dead people can’t choose anything. God chose HIS people before the foundation of the world the Bible says.

One of the issues is the definition of 'error'. Some people disagree on some doctrine but can still be in unity. For example, end times, calvinism vs arminianism. we can still be in fellowship unless it is true error.

I think there’s a very simple solution, it’s words my preacher uses “the Bible is what it is, says what it says, and does what it does” If we abided by this principle the Bible would not be divided, people say baptism isn’t apart of salvation, the Bible says otherwise therefore they are wrong, It’s very simple and very easy to understand, some say the pope is the ultimate authority, the Bible says no such thing, so they are wrong. Simple as that.

The bottom line is In ESSENTIALS, Unity. In NON Essentials, Liberty. In All Things, Charity. Once someone crosses the line and begins teaching false doctrine regarding essentials, they are no longer in the realm of Christianity! And they MUST be called out, rebuked and corrected!

New Covenant Whole Gospel: How many modern Christians cannot honestly answer the questions below? Who is the King of Israel in John 1:49? Is the King of Israel now the Head of the Church, and are we His Body? Who is the “son” that is the “heir” to the land in Matthew 21:37-43? Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, man-made Bible doctrines fall apart. Let us now learn to preach the whole Gospel until He comes back. The King of Israel is risen from the dead! (John 1:49, Acts 2:36) We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18. We are come instead to the New Covenant church of Mount Zion and the blood in Hebrews 12:22-24. 1Jn 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. 1Jn 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 1Jn 3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. God is not now a “racist”. God bless you for trying to only stand for truth. I know you're accused of being divisive and I know you are defending yourself but there can be differences without division. How can we be united if we are all independent? You were just calling for everyone to leave the SBC over a failure to change their constitution. That IS division. We can embrace all who are bought by Jesus Christ and have a saving faith. Yes they should grow in grace and knowledge. Yes they should embrace the biblical doctrines. Yes to all that but if they are Christ's then they are family. I'm not talking about apostates but about people who disagree on eschatology, baptism (mode and time), specific liturgy, traditions, music, etc. Each has boundaries where they become error but I'm so thankful I wasn't expected to be perfect as soon as I got saved. Love covers a multitude of sin, surely error. Error and heresy can be the same but they aren't always. And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth. And they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will.

Satan is the reason for everything happening to the Church today. Christ has cast His bride aside saying "You have become lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, you have lost your first love. I will vomit you out of My mouth." Gulp. Stop talking, start repenting. Lord have mercy on our souls. We've all been mislead. The road to Hell is paved with good intentions. 🛐

My I be honest with you. Yes we have a lot of false doctrine and false prophets in the Pentecostal and charismatic church. But not all tongue talkers are in error. Some of us are lead by the Lord. But you deny speaking in tongues at all or do you. It's like a gate with no hinge are you willing to get that right you said a lot of things that people need to hear so I'm for you not against you but let's don't cast out the truth about the Holy Spirit in these last days

There is no division in the Body of Christ. Either your a member in the body or your not. Many will say in that day, Lord,Lord....are these people in the body or not. Christ isn't divided, the church is(which is NOT the body). There is only one truth,not many.

Sorry, but that is not what Paul was speaking of when he was talking about the unity of faith in Eph. To believe that would be to imply that the Church has never had the unity of faith until it comes in a future far beyond the Apostolic era, and even our own era. It would also be ignoring the fact that for 1054 years there was One Church, professing one faith, all recorded and described in the Apostles Creed that was adopted as a statement of that faith at the Council of Nicaea in 325 AD.

Ephesians 4 cannot come into being until Ephesians 3:8-9 comes back into being. Paul preached the Great Mystery Fellowship. The gospel taught today is the Mystery of Iniquity (Lawlessness) Paul endeavored to "Make all men see what is the fellowship of the Mystery of Christ" His gospel was preached to every creature under heaven. Then the false teachers denied the resurrection of the saints and Jesus out of them as the Firstborn and the Mystery of Iniquity abounded. Today we hear preached "another Jesus, another gospel and another spirit as Paul and Peter warned. Any preacher who does not preach the Resurrection of the Dead out of Whom Jesus was raised is a denier, a false teacher. The watered-down version (perverted) gospel has deceived the whole world. The Fellowship of the Mystery is the assembly with the heavenly saints who were redeemed from men being the New Creation, the New Jerusalem., the Jerusalem above, the Church of the Firstborn written in heaven. Heb 12:23. These Saints were redeemed from among men and entered the New Jerusalem. Matthew 27:52 tells us they came out of their tombs and went into the Holy City, and Jeremiah prophesied that they would come back at the end to their own coasts. Jer 31:15-17. There is no Gentile bride. We are all oine in Christ Jew and Gentile. The fullness of the Gentiles is coming in and Isreal will soon see the sign in heaven and repent and thus all Israel will be saved, Jew and Gentile believers. The Jews are from Juda the two southern tribes who were in the wilderness for forty years. Israel is the 10 Northern tribes who were scattered to the four corners of the earth , they learned the heathen way and never returned because of disobedience. Division is good! It shows intelligence and concern over interpretation of Scripture. The Bible teaches that there should be no private interpretation. In any case, the Holy Spirit binds us together...not necessarily our interpretations. As long as the denomination teaches the doctrine of Christ we CAN exhibit brotherhood.

If there is one (1), any Denomination then there are too many. Christians can not be divided.

Doesn't your own denomination divide simply over Bible versions? I know many who supported us back as missionaries would. Even if churches were conservative and traditional but used a different version-many in the IFB would divide. I ask this as a former IFB member and missionary.

I've preached on taught on these issues in the past year. As you stated in the beginning about Ephesians 4:4-6. And it is Oneness that we endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit. The seven ones: one body, one Spirit, One hope of our calling, One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism, and One God and Father of all. The true body of believers is One in Christ Jesus. Denominations are the construct of men, and they are falling. They will all do so. The ones that are working to keep these denominations together are being reeled into the Mystery Babylon as Rome is drawing them in. They deny the soon coming of the Lord, and readying themselves by a false peace and combined beliefs in preterism, Postmillennialism, or amillennialism will converge with Islam, LDS, JW, Hinduism, and every ism to formulate world religion under the auspices of the RCC.

Who can a true christian man go from Truth to Error?
