The Cavalier's burger has been named the best burger in Virginia. Do you agree? The history of the Cavalier is interesting and goes back to 1919. Nice to look back at some of the video's before i found your channel, These burgers lookes amazing, mac n cheese and. those onion rings stood out to me. Funny to see Carly try to eat her burger it was almost as big as her lol. Likes the decor of the restaurant and the prices were great. God bless

They definitely have some good burgers here! But the fries are oh so good! Carly has grown a lot since this video. This place is very old school. It always stays the same. Nothing fancy at all but very good food. We haven't been here is awhile but may need to find out way back. lol Thanks for all of your support!

If we ever make our way out to Lynchburg, Virginia, this will be our first stop for a meal. Those burgers looked so good. The potato wedge fries looked good as well. We enjoyed the history behind the building, how the author rated it the best in the state, and the really cool license plates on the ceiling. Another excellent review guys!!

Alas, the "best ever" burgers in Virginia are long gone. There was a drive-up dive on Pickett Street in Alexandria by the former Cameron Station Army Base called "WHAT-A-BURGER" whose namesake burger was not unlike the much later Big Mac. But, much better. There was also the similar "Twinburger" at the snack bar/soda fountain of the long-gone Drug Fair chain. But, the "Big Daddy" of them all was the "Mighty Mo", at the old Hot Shoppes restaurants. The business which sired the Marriott Corporation. The George Motz book makes a good road trip guide, This video interests me in a way besides food. I never realized Lynchburg had trolley cars in its history. The decor at the Cavalier reminds me of one of my favorite California hangouts, Rhino's Bar & Grill in Bridgeport, California. There are three What-A-Burger restaurants left in Virginia according to Google. I have not visited any of the locations. I finally visited a Whataburger last year in Florida. There are almost 1,000 of these locations in the United States. The Cavalier is a fun place to eat during the day. Glad you enjoyed the video.

Another great review! As the song goes, thanks for the memories!! Wow, this takes me back in time.. Working at Virginia Baptist Hospital on Rivermont Avenue, we ate a lot of good food from The Cavalier. Great place to eat for sure with decent prices!!!

I liked the look of the fries as well. Normally those large fries end up all soft which I don't like. These looked crispy.

I'm gonna keep this as an option for the Texas Inn when I pass through Lynchburg. I like big burgers and I'm not a huge fan of chile or beans. This place looks like it stays open later as well. Whose burger do you like better T or Cavalier?

If you like a bigger burger then you would probably like the Cavalier better. I would say the burger here is better. They also have amazing fries. We have only been in here during the day.
